This past year has been challenging and I’ve dealt with a heck of a lot of instability. Being thrown out of my routine almost every week was really draining and although I’m not as far along with my goals as I would like to be I can’t be too disappointed. The fact that I even was still able to keep to my 3x a week blogging schedule was a miracle. I did post one less day in August while on vacation but besides that I haven’t missed a single day. It can be a headache sometimes but ultimately, I’d be sad if I just gave up on it. Violet Roots is a part of me now. It’s an integral aspect of my life and it’s allowed me to grow and experience much more than I ever could have imagined. Twenty-six was hard but it taught me exactly how much I’m willing to fight for the things I want. It showed me that my rigid plans are useless. It made my flaws glaringly obvious but it also added weight to my strengths.

“I plan on finding peace & savoring every moment”

As twenty-seven approaches I have a better idea about what makes me happy. I’m aware of the role art has played throughout my life and I’m doing my best to make it a priority. I’m the best version of myself when I’m able to create so now I make sure that I do it often. As you age you take the lessons of the past with you. For me, I took the baggage with me and left the lessons behind. This year I circled back, got closure on one of the biggest mysteries of my life and now I can move on. I may be uneasy about things outside of my control but they’re exactly that outside of my control. At twenty-seven I plan on finding peace and savoring every moment. I’ll start this year in one stage So What's Next? • Adele at MSG & Global Citizen Festival • Living a Colorful Life Are you ready to build a life full of creativity? “Sold Out Summer Music”

September’s #VRxMusic Bonus! dance to these Violet Beats all month! August was a great time for music. I went to two sold out shows and a music festival all in the same week! I then went on vacation to Newport and Providence which included a ton road trip tunes. Spotify saved the day on that front so kudos to that app! September is quieter on the music front in the beginning of the month but then ends in a spectacular fashion. I thankfully scored tickets to see Adele at one of her sold out shows at MSG. In that very same week I’ll be seeing an eclectic group of artists perform for free at Central Park. Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Major Lazer,

and Selena Gomez will perform just to name a few. I can’t wait to share it with you!
