We’ve been preserving the art of American Made furniture since 1989. Handcrafted to last a lifetime, our upholstery starts with quality frame construction. To ensure strength and durability, our frame-makers begin with one of three types of hardwood: solid, engineered (layers of hardwood laminated in a cross–grain pattern for greater strength), or a combination of the two. All wood is kiln-dried, preventing mildew, odors, or warping over time. Our framing wood is sustainably sourced domestically, and compliant with the U.S. Forest Service requirements for harvest and reforestation. It is precision cut by computer, ensuring the highest yield from each tree. Tremendous attention is given to the assembly of wood components, where double dowels, high–pressure staples, wood glue, and screwed-in corner braces are used in the final stages of construction.
