Introduction of Leonard Brand Leonard comes from a knitting factory founded in 1943 by Jacques Leonard in Paris. In 1958, Daniel Tribouillard, who is head of Leonard group now, and was learning printing techniques on textiles in Lyon of France, was appointed as CEO and chief designer. 窈窕淑女成長記 ——訪美國「神韻藝術團」舞蹈演員黃琳捷 美國「神韻藝術團」的全球巡演正在火熱地上演。舞臺上，女舞蹈演員們舞姿曼妙、儀態端莊，宛如古畫 中走出的女子。這非凡的氣韻又是如何練就的呢？讓我們走近生長在臺灣的神韻舞蹈演員黃琳捷，聽她講 述這其中的故事。

訪 一開始，黃琳捷的歡快和爽朗就深 深 感 染 了 我 們。她說，她在跳中國古典舞之前從沒把自己當女
孩，甚至比家中的哥哥和弟弟還更好動，整天熱衷於打球 等各種運動。以至於她的爸爸都親暱又無奈地叫她「小伙 子」。這番簡潔明瞭的告白，讓我們有點困惑。實在想不 出，這位活潑好動的「小伙子」是怎麼出落成一位溫婉柔 美的中國古典舞舞蹈演員的？
意外的舞蹈路 2007年，美國「神韻藝術團」赴臺灣演出，黃琳捷隨 家人一起前去觀賞。演出結束後，黃琳捷的父親隨口問了 她一句：「你有沒有想去跳舞啊？」此時，黃琳捷還沉浸 在「神韻」精彩絕倫的表演中，也沒多想，立即回答說： 「想去！」回家之後，就電郵申請了美國一所教授正統中 國古典舞的知名學院──位於紐約的「飛天藝術學院」。 過了段時間，見沒有回信，黃琳捷又申請了一次，可 前後發了三次申請都石沉大海。失望之餘，她不得不暫時放 下學舞的想法，升入高中就讀。誰知開學不久，有一天，黃 琳捷被媽媽從睡夢中喚醒，說「飛天學院」打來電話，通知 她去美國面試。聽到這期待已久的消息，黃琳捷心中非常激 動，毅然決定休學飛往紐約。然而，「飛天學院」的錄取 標準很高，而她此前並沒有接受過系統的舞蹈訓練。15歲 的年齡，對於學習舞蹈專業來說，是不是也有些太大了？ 她究竟會不會被錄取呢？黃琳捷有些緊張和忐忑。 面試時，黃琳捷表現得非常努力。她自幼熱愛體育運 動，所以體能、力量和身體協調能力都不錯，再加上出色的

rowing up, Huang Linjie always considered herself a tomboy and never dreamed that she would one day embody the very essence of femininity as a dancer with the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts Company. Huang recently sat down with Taste of Life for a conversation about dance and some of the turning points in her life. She laughed as she described growing up without ever viewing herself as a girl, playing team sports and learning from her brothers. But all of that changed when a passion for dance awoke in her teenage heart.
A new direction
Huang was 15 years old when Shen Yun Performing Arts came to Taiwan for the first time in 2007. She had gone to see the show with her family. Afterwards, her father asked her if she would be interested in learning dance. Still glowing with the energy of the show, Huang beamed at the thought and said “yes” without hesitation. Before she knew it, she was filling out an application to attend Fei Tian Academy of the Arts in New York, dubbed the “Juilliard” school of classical Chinese dance, which trains most of Shen Yun’s dancers. When the school finally called back, she was ecstatic. However, when they requested her to attend an interview and audition, her excitement quickly turned into self-doubt and anxiety.
