f “Mi Caseta – Flamenco Nights” is a wonderful experience that aims to show the Andalusian culture with the best flamenco music and dance, and also through the gastronomy of our land. Our aim is to immerse the public into a magic atmosphere recreated by a carefully settled scenography of an exclusive ‘tablao flamenco’ where you can feel the culture, the magic and the emotion of the tradition and the purest essence of the Andalusian soul. We stand out for the top-quality of our show that is aimed for both international and national tourism.

The experience The flamenco show consists of around two hours of an intense and awesome flamenco performance. Musical instruments such as the piano, sax, trombone, vocals and guitars are mixed with the passion of the dance and the flamenco soul. The performance is divided into some thematic parts separated by breaks so that attendees can feel the flamenco experience at the same time that they enjoy a typical southern Spanish dinner. Our cuisine merges tradition and avant-garde with the integration of products from the local region. At the beginning of the show, attendees are given a bottle of ‘manzanilla’ as one of the most popular wines of Andalusia. Besides, customers have the choice to order additional drinks or portions of the offered menu. 2

ENTERTAINMENT

Where? The flamenco show takes place in a traditional Andalusian “caseta” with capacity to receive up to 200 guests and located in the Estepona Fairgrounds in the province of Malaga. A stage of more than 30m² is the main part of the facilities formed by 11 first-rate artists.

When? The weekly show takes place every Friday of the year at 21:00. It is also possible to organize special sessions any day of the week for groups over 50 persons. In such case, the schedule of the show could be adapted depending of the request of the group.

Tickets Enjoy the show with a bottle of Manzanilla; the tickets price is 45€ p.p. (VAT inc.). The dinner menu (optional), has an additional cost of 35€ p.p. (VAT inc.)

Dinner To convey the full and true essence of the authentic Andalusian fair, we have prepared a selection of the best and most representative products of the most popular cuisine in southern Spain. EDITOR PAGE Unfortunately this year has not started on a happy note, this coronavirus seems to be just that little bit more to have to bear after the climate problems, floods and unnecessary war zones that is killing innocent women and children. It is just another problem to have to deal with. I think that governments and especially the media are clearly responsible for creating fear on a world wide scale, when they should create more awareness to the influenza virus which is responsible for the death of millions every single year. Yes, it is a new menace easily transmitted but we also know that the mortality rate is nowhere near that of the yearly flu. Why does the media not tell us about the success of the vaccine this year which has been rather effective at saving many lives? I am certain that a vaccine to deal with the coronavirus will also be available in a years’ time so what is the reason for creating a global disruption affecting every single business in the world?

Desafortunadamente, este año no ha comenzado con buen pie, parece ser que tendremos que sobreponernos al coronavirus además de los problemas climáticos, las inundaciones y las zonas de guerra innecesarias, masacre de mujeres y niños inocentes. Es solo otro problema con el que tenemos que lidiar. Creo que los gobiernos y especialmente los medios de comunicación son claramente responsables de crear miedo a escala mundial, cuando deberían crear más conciencia sobre el virus de la gripe, que es responsable de la muerte de millones de personas cada año. Sí, es una nueva amenaza que se transmite fácilmente, pero también sabemos que la tasa de mortalidad no se acerca a la de la gripe anual. ¿Por qué los medios no informan sobre el éxito de la vacuna de este año, que ha ayudado a salvar muchas vidas? Estoy seguro que hasta dentro de un año no tendremos una vacuna contra el coronavirus, entonces, ¿por qué crear una alarma global que afecta a todos los negocios del mundo?

MARATÓN INTERNACIONAL DE LECTURA DEL QUIJOTE De Juan Emilio Ríos Vera Ardía en deseos de poder colaborar en este tercer maratón de lectura del Quijote que tiene lugar cada año en la sede de la Asociación de Vecinos “La Unión” de la barriada de Los Pastores, que tiene las peculiaridades de que se lee la inmortal obra de Cervantes en distintos idiomas y que se fomenta la lectura entre los niños y chavales del vecindario. En primer lugar, hubo una presentación oficial por parte de las autoridades, a la que fui invitado a participar y posteriormente comenzó la lectura del Quijote, para después dar paso a un video en el que escuchamos emocionados como Juan Chaves Roca, nonagenario, había realizado su lectura en la primera edición hace dos años, falleciendo poco después. Estos maratones llevan su nombre como homenaje a su persona. Posteriormente comenzó la lectura por parte de los numerosos niños que se habían inscrito bajo la atenta mirada de Juan María de la Cuesta, artífice de esta preciosa iniciativa que, junto con su equipo de colaboradores, se encarga de que todo salga perfecto.

Pasaron por el atril chavales de todas las edades, desde algunos que están ahora aprendiendo a leer hasta otros ya casi adolescentes que leyeron con verdadera pasión. Otra de las entidades colaboradoras, Barrio Vivo, nos obsequió con una obra de teatro a las afueras de la Asociación de Vecinos y tras los chicos, comenzaron a leer los adultos, con el magnífico aderezo de que leyeron muchas personas en sus lenguas maternas y así pudimos paladear cómo suenan las palabras de Cervantes en inglés, francés, griego, italiano y un sinfín de idiomas más. En definitiva, una actividad loable y maravillosa que fomenta la Cultura, la integración de las personas y el amor por los libros y que esta edición ha contado también con el apoyo del Club Rotary Estepona Sotogrande International, con la presencia de su presidenta Carla Bordoli que leyó un fragmento del Quijote en su italiano materno. Enhorabuena a los que la hacen posible cada año.

RECIPE

Mussels in saffron cream March with an “R” for shall fish Ingredients • 2tbsp olive oil • 2 shallots, chopped • 2 cloves garlic, crushed • 1tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley • 250ml (8fl oz) white wine • 250ml (8fl oz) single cream • 1 pinch saffron threads • ½tsp ground cumin • 1.25kg (2lb 7oz) fresh mussels, cleaned and beards removed • Extra chopped parsley, to serve

Preparation To prepare, soak the mussels in fresh water for 15 minutes, then pull off their beards with a sharp tug. 1. Place a large saucepan or wok over a medium heat. Add the olive oil, shallots and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes, or until the shallots have softened. Add the parsley, white wine, single cream, saffron and cumin. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. 2. Add the mussels and increase the heat to high. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook for 4-5 minutes, giving the saucepan an occasional shake to help the mussels release their flavour. 3. Uncover and stir well. As the mussels open, remove them to two deep serving bowls. Discard any that haven’t opened after 5 minutes. Boil the broth for 2 minutes, season to taste, then pour over the mussels. Sprinkle with extra chopped parsley and serve immediately. Serve with crusty bread to mop up the delicious creamy broth.

Globally it is estimated that the annual dreaded flu affects 5 Million Cases Worldwide with 650,000 deaths each year. By contrast the total number of people worldwide contracting the Coronavirus now stands at **85,693 with 2933 deaths (66 in the U.S.A. with 3 deaths). The majority of the cases are in China where it would seem the virus started.

Are we over exaggerating the peril?

These figures are despite the existence of a vaccine which this year has been more effective than ever. Meaning we should be more worried and pay more attention to this regular annual killer rather than panic to the extent that, if we continue with this panic, we shall create a global recession which we certainly do not need. It has been established that the Coronavirus is transmitted through droplets (sneezes, coughs), body contact (shaking hands, etc) and touching contaminated surfaces (3/4 days after contamination). It has also been established that it affects mainly elderly people with existing chronic problems and that the mortality rate is very low.

In conclusion, let’s save ourselves from a selfinflicted recession. Let’s was our hands, not kiss and shake hands, wear masks if we must but most of all let’s not run down our economy.

The Sun shines on us but it does not provide more heat than we need. Nature has seen to it that it keeps the Earth system warm and in calibrated. Gladius team de Manilva De Ernesto Romero Mi nombre es Ernesto Romero y comencé a la edad de 7 años a practicar karate estilo Shotokan, disciplina que he practicado por más de 20 años obteniendo el cinturón negro primer dan. Con 19 años gano el campeonato andaluz y formo parte de la Selección Andaluza representando a la comunidad en los campeonatos de España. Del mismo modo también quedé campeón universitario de Karate en la UMA (Universidad de Málaga) en el año 1999. A la edad de 18 años comienzo la andadura en los deportes de contacto (full contact y posteriormente kick boxing) y en boxeo donde entreno un año en la peña "El sombrero" en Málaga con Sedano como entrenador. En kick boxing estoy alrededor de 15 años logrando el cinturón negro tercer grado. A la edad de 32 años comienzo la capoeira, deporte que practico durante 7 años compaginándola con la MMA y el Kick Boxing. Juez del primer evento celebrado en Málaga de MMA (KO Arena) en el año 2006. Entrenador nacional de MMA y Grappling por el CSD (Consejo Superior de Deporte) participo en varios campeonatos de estas disciplinas además de BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer.
