Charlie 99 not out!
Major Charlie Lynn OAM has walked the Kokoda Track 99 times mainly as a guide for visiting groups and will complete 100 treks early next year. The former soldier turned politician as a member of the NSW Legislative Council (MLC) and now a dedicated fighter for ex-servicemen and women was a VIP regular guest at Sunday’s 77th Kokoda Day Flag Raising Ceremony at Concord’s Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway. The Flag Raising Ceremony symbolises the turning of the tide in the Pacific War when the Australian flag was raised at Kokoda on November 3 1942. TWT on-the-spot PHOTO.
