Ryde Eisteddfod Choral Prizewinners

Epping West Public School Senior Choir won first place in Ryde Eisteddfod’s Primary School Choral competition in Ryde Civic Hall last Thursday. It was a double celebration for Epping West with their Year 3 Choir winning third prize. Epping’s OLQP Seniors were second. School Captains Euna Oh and Max Tiranatvitayakul are pictured holding the trophy with other Senior Choir members plus Ryde Eisteddfod Chairman Edna Wilde OAM, Choral Convenor Helen Merrick and Epping West PS Senior Choir teacher Liz Robinson. HUNTERS HILL Independence Day celebrations commenced last Wednesday night at Woolwich Pier Hotel and continued over the weekend with the 40th annual Moocooboola Festival at Boronia Park Ovals. Meanwhile planning is well underway for Ryde’s annual Granny Smith Festival in Eastwood on October 19 with next committee meeting next Wednesday August 14 in the CWA rooms at 8am.
