Club Corner Wendover Evening WI in 2021
What a year that was! The Wendover Evening WI Committee has taken a proactive approach to maintaining contact with their membership during the entire pandemic, including the challenges which 2021 brought. Wendover WI has remained positive and has capitalised on activities which the restrictions permitted. Being a forward-looking organisation, the group transitioned from pre-COVID face-to-face meetings to meeting on-line, fully embracing technology, including WhatsApp and Zoom which enabled: • Wendover Evening WI WhatsApp Group • Regular online contact with members • Monthly virtual speakers • Quizzes • Committee Meetings • Online Denman cookery demonstration whilst the WI members cooked. Once the Turkish cuisine was ready, members sat in front of screens with a glass of wine enjoying a virtual communal meal. South Bucks Midweek Cycling Club
We are a friendly club providing group cycle rides for all abilities from beginners to seasoned riders. The rides are all based in the South Bucks area and primarily take place midweek on a Wednesday. Wendover Bowls Club
The indoor season has almost run its course. Sadly some clubs have been unable to raise teams and we have had several cancelled matches. I am afraid the dreaded Covid has much to answer for as people seem to have got out of the idea of going out.

Alas, our wonderful accompanist (Penny), will be leaving us, (because of increased workload, it’s really nothing to do with us!), and we are now seeking a new accompanist.
