50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
TO KNOW & LIVE THE TRUTH
Dear Grandparents and Special Guests,
Thank you so much for joining us today for Grandparents’ Honor Day. Every year, we look forward to this day as it has become a very special tradition at Wesleyan for our students and our school. This year, we are especially grateful to have our grandparents join us on campus, after missing the opportunity last year.
As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, Wesleyan is more committed than ever to guiding and educating your grandchildren “to know and live the truth.” We believe strongly that your partnership and influence in their lives plays a vital role in achieving this goal. Today, we hope you enjoy this special time with your grandchild while learning a little more about Wesleyan and their daily activities. We pray you leave feeling honored and appreciated for the important role you fill as grandparents.
Though these last 18 months have been challenging for us all, one thing is certain. God is still sovereign and He has graciously used this season to give us all a glimpse of the importance of legacy, and of family, in each of our lives. From day trips and weekend adventures to special holiday traditions, we pray God blesses each of you with an abundance of time with your families and your grandchildren in the coming year.
Thank you for your dedication to these precious children and for entrusting them to our care!
Sincerely in Christ,
“They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
- Lamentations 3:23Rob Brown, D. Min. Head of School
For 50 years, Wesleyan Christian Academy has called 1917 North Centennial Street home. On these 26 acres, thousands of students and families have made memories to last a lifetime. Over these five decades, our student enrollment has grown from dozens to several hundred and our programming has developed and expanded as well. In August of 2021, 1,200+ students from 6 weeks of age to 12th grade entered our doors for another school year. We are honored to have the privilege of partnering with our parents by providing a biblicallybased, college-preparatory education so that students will be equipped to serve Christ and influence the world.

In 2010, Wesleyan acquired approximately 70 acres of land on Sandy Ridge Road through the generosity and assistance of wonderful donors. Over the last several years, we've developed the property which is the home of the Millis Outdoor and Recreational Complex, including a baseball stadium, soccer and lacrosse field, open-air pavilion, and playground.
This year, Wesleyan's Sandy Ridge Campus will enjoy several additions that will provide new programming options to our students, giving them even more opportunities to learn, grow in the Lord and enjoy a new outdoor environment. Projects in process include:
AMPHITHEATER (Academic, Fine Arts, and Extra Curricular Programming)
ROPES COURSE (Leadership Development, Physical Education)
GRILL CENTER (Athletics)

"I honestly think the greatest gift my parents gave to me was sending me to Wesleyan. It has given me so many opportunities to build myself up as a person and I definitely would not be the individual I am today without Wesleyan."

In 1972, approval was given to implement a Christian elementary school. A first grade opened in the fall of 1972 with an enrollment of 17 students. The long-range goal was to develop both an early education program as well as an elementary school that would be built upon high-quality educational services in a distinctively Christian environment. From the initial vision, Wesleyan has grown to include approximately 1,250 students from childcare through 12th grade.
In order to support the growth and to ensure Wesleyan’s future, we have taken steps to be more intentional with our advancement and development efforts. Part of these efforts include meeting with current families, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, and special friends. The purpose of these meetings is to listen, answer questions, share vision, and re-connect. We enjoy hearing the stories about how Wesleyan has prepared alumni for life and how it continues to make a positive impact in the lives of our current students.
To learn more about how you can connect with your grandchild’s education, please contact your student’s homeroom teacher or: Mrs. Kristy Morrison, at kmorrison@wcatrojans.org or (336) 884-3333 x215.

50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
WE APPRECIATE YOU
We love our grandparents, and we invite you to be involved at Wesleyan! If you'd like to be, here are a few ways you can support our students and our school through your gift of time and/or resources:
Your Gift of Time
"Time is our most valuable resource", they say. And it's true. With today's dual-working parents and rapidly changing culture, your gift of time is more valuable than ever.
PRAYER & ENCOURAGEMENT for our school administration, staff, and faculty.
VOLUNTEER IN THE CLASSROOM to support the work of our teachers.
WEEKLY CHAPELS / MONTHLY PARENT CHAPELS are open to grandparents.
PTO (PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION) is vital to the functioning of our school.
TROJAN CLUB (WCA's athletic boosters organization) supports Wesleyan's Athletic Department and student-athletes.
MOMS IN PRAYER group prays each Friday for our students, families, faculty, administration, and school.
Your Gift of Resources
Over the years, through your generous support, a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular opportunities have been made available to our students that would not have been otherwise and have significantly contributed to our students' and the academy's success.
PATRONS OF THE PERFORMING ARTS to financially support the performing arts department.
FINANCIAL AID for families who may be in a difficult financial season. Two options are available: Wesleyan Scholarship Fund and the Endowment Fund.
ANNUAL GIFT GIVING / SILENT AUCTION Gifts to AGG support special projects that enhance student services and provide additional student opportunities.
DESIGNATED GIFTS Gifts can be designated by the donor for specific areas such as academics, athletics, performing arts, facility enhancements, or our Sandy Ridge campus.
FACULTY ENDOWMENT provides special recognition, honors innovation, and helps support annual salaries/stipends.
For 50 years, staff, parents, grandparents, and alumni have demonstrated their generosity and support for Wesleyan Christian Academy. One way families have supported the school is by including Wesleyan in their estate planning.
In an effort to formally recognize Wesleyan Christian Academy supporters who have demonstrated their generosity by including the Academy in their estate planning, we formed the Wesleyan Christian Academy Legacy Society. The Legacy Society is designed to recognize those who have remembered the Academy through a formal bequest.
Planned estate gifts to Wesleyan Christian Academy can provide support for the students currently enrolled in the Academy and for future generations; therefore, planned gifts have both a short-term and long-term benefit. A strategically planned estate gift has the potential of benefiting the giver, the giver’s heirs, and the Academy.
ALTHOUGH MANY OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE, POPULAR PLANNING TECHNIQUES INCLUDE:
WILLS ~ TRUSTS ~ IRAS ~ LIFE INSURANCE
If you have already included Wesleyan Christian Academy in your estate plan, we would like to recognize you as a member of the Wesleyan Legacy Society. If you have not made plans to include Wesleyan Christian Academy in your estate plan but would like information on how to do so, please contact our Development Office at (336) 884-3333. We will be happy to follow-up with you to provide appropriate material and information.
Please be sure to enter this year's drawing for a free digital photo frame. With this frame, you can continuously scroll many wonderful photos of you and your grandchildren!
Grandparents, we are so grateful for the role you play in your grandchildren’s lives. If you are interested in volunteering at Wesleyan, please be sure to contact your student’s teacher.
Thank you for all you do!.
“Wesleyan Christian Academy provides the Christian atmosphere we want for our children while teaching the love of God, love of fellow man, and the love of learning. Our family has truly been blessed by our involvement with Wesleyan Christian Academy over the past 20 years, and we are privileged to participate in the building of its future through planned giving in our estate.”
- Vincent and Becky Townsend, Kernersville, NCWesleyan grandparents are invited to attend any of our special events, serve on one of our parent-led organizations, or volunteer at any of our school functions.
