Not only will ePACT replace paper forms, but it will also ensure we have a way to communicate with you in the event of an illness, injury, or larger scale emergency.
Why are we using ePACT?
778-797-8800
CITY OF WEST KELOWNA RECREATION AND CULTURE
To save you time-With ePACT, you only need to complete your child’s information once, and then verify that it is still correct for additional programs or subsequent years (which can be done in just two minutes)!

Improved privacy and security-Eliminating paper forms ensures that your key information is safe and secure, while authorized staff members can still access this information any time they need it. Better support-ePACT makes it easy for you to share comprehensive health and emergency contact details, so we can provide the best support to your child. Plus, you can update this anytime and we will automatically receive those new details.
How it works • You’ll receive an email invite to share information with City of West Kelowna • Click ‘Complete Request’ to create a free account, or log-in if you already have an existing ePACT account. • Enter the required information, like medical conditions, and share it with City of West Kelowna so that program staff have access. ePACT makes it far easier for you to share emergency information with us, while also ensuring we have access to records anytime, anywhere with the mobile app-even without an internet connection. Rest assured that you always own your account and the information in it. Plus, ePACT maintains the same levels of security as online banking, and limits access only to the administrators we assign for enhanced privacy.
ePACT Support Have questions or feedback? Please contact help@ epactnetwork.com or call 1-855-773-7228 ext. 1 to speak with ePACT’s Customer Success Team. You can also visit our Help Center for many other resources.

Bridge-Larry Cohen’s 2/1
Goren was replaced by Standard American and now Standard American is being replaced by 2/1. Have you noticed how many intermediate and advanced players use this system now instead of SAYC? Many bridge teachers are using 2/1 for their novice classes because this bidding system, overall, tends to be more accurate resulting in improved results. It is not a difficult transition from S.A. to 2/1 and Larry’s easy to understand booklet is great guide on how to use 90% of the 2/1 system. Even if you do not intend on switching systems, attending this course will help you defend and bid more effectively against teams who do use it. The textbook is mandatory at a cost of $20 or it can be purchased as an eBook through Amazon for $9.99. NO CLASS JULY 1. INSTRUCTOR: Wendy LOCATION: Westbank Lions Community Centre

Research shows that participation in sport and recreation increases a child’s chance of success in life.
Some of the criterion to apply for the Jumpstart program includes: • Eligible children are between the ages of 4 and 18 years. • Eligible children participating in sport and recreation in West Kelowna and Peachland. • Funding goes to individuals, not to teams. • Up to $600 per child can be allocated per year. • Funding should be for a sustained program that lasts a season therefore a one-week camp would not qualify. • Funding can be provided to the same child for successive seasons, although the goal is that Jump Start continues to fund new children. • Funding preference is to pay for registration fees with consideration to fund equipment or transportation costs on a case by case basis.
778-797-8800
CITY OF WEST KELOWNA RECREATION AND CULTURE
• Applications are not retroactive and must be submitted before the start of the season.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart® has helped give more than 159,573 kids in financial need, the chance to play. Funding is based on the individual child’s financial need. The goal is to help those children who would not have been able to participate in a physical activity without the assistance of the JumpStart program.
The West Kelowna chapter is made up of organizations that provide sport and recreation opportunities for children in our community including: West Kelowna Recreation and Culture, Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, Westbank First Nations, Kids Sport and the West Kelowna Canadian Tire store.
