JERSEY’S JOURNAL by Jersey Shore I took a little break from drag. Drag was becoming a drag! As I write this, I know that tomorrow I have to get back into the swing of things and start choosing music, pulling costumes, packing the car, beating my face, then padding and undergarments. Then perform a full show. Rinse and repeat. In the heat. Ugh! I don’t want to do it, but I know I have to. Sometimes I wish I was a stripper. You bring a thong and a smile, not headdresses and wigs. I am fortunate to do what I do, but like any job, you need a break every now and then. I need more breaks now than then. It’s work, and until you live in my size 12 Bloche Character shoes, you will never know. So, with that said, just sit back and enjoy the show! I’ve had time to sort through and organize my hundreds of costumes, wigs, and headdresses. I have accumulated SO much in my 20 some odd years of Jersey Shore. I am finding things I’ve never worn, stuff I didn’t fit into, but do now. Items that needed repair. I have lots of stuff and if I were a stripper it would be one drawer, not my bedroom, kitchen, and living room. It’s no wonder I am crazy!!! I would love to live a simple life, but with craft supplies like glue, feathers, etc., etc., etc. The madness never stops, but I am so lucky to do what I do instead of customer service. If I had to serve the public, I would be serving 20 to life! My tolerance for

40

stupidity is null. Non-existent. The older I get, the less time for drama and dumbass people, and I’m in my 40’s. I can’t wait to be that outspoken old man who will let a fart rip in line at Starbucks and not give a flying fig. I would fart in line today, but with my luck I might produce a wet surprise. Coffee does get you going! So, go to a show and think about what is involved in that one 4 minute number you are watching. If you want to show your support by tipping, it’s much appreciated as that dollar will go right back into drag because I constantly need makeup and tight and shoes and costumes and wig styling and it goes on and on and on and on! Peace, Love, and Drag-cations, Jersey Contact Jersey @ Dragapalooza@aol.com or follow on Facebook. Jersey can be seem performing at CCBC July 4th, Friday June 26th 10pm @ Azul, and the return of Throw Back Thursdays @ the Ultra Max Cinema starting August 6th

THAT IS FUNNY My future partner is probably texting their bae right now about how they’re gonna be together forever. Sike, see you in ten years bitch I hate fake bitches *looks in the mirror* except for you sis. If you see a guy with long hair he’s either gorgeous or fucking weird and the answer lays in what type of shoe he’s wearing . Don’t ever tell a guy he looks good because it usually makes him crazy and do things like start youtube channels. [me drawing 7s with a little line through them to impress guys at the bar]: Hmm? What? Yes, I always draw 7s like this. It’s normal for me Sexting people is so fun because they get so into it and you’re like cleaning your kitchen or something.

WEEKLY GUIDE TO THE STARS ARIES (March 21-April 19): Spokes on the wheel aren’t always easy to just grease. Toss some elbow work in if you want the gears to turn. TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Silence is only golden when it’s warranted. If you see something out of the ordinary, speak your mind. Don’t regret the quiet later. GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Cautious and steady isn’t always the most practical of methods. Mix it up a little bit. Taking a risk now and then can pay off. CANCER (June 21-July 22): There’s change in the air. Grasp it now before it escapes out the window. You might not know if there’ll be more on the horizon.

42

LEO (July 23-Aug 22): Test your mind every day. The brain can be just as much a muscle as the rest. But it still needs to be flexed. VIRGO (Aug 23-Sept 22): It can feel like love is just out of reach, but still in the eye’s view. If there’s someone you’re secretly feeling things about, gauge theirs towards you. LIBRA (Sept 23-Oct 22): Every so often, the staleness and stagnation of routine can seem maddening. Tweak a few details here and there to stave off the inanity. SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21): Tough times are hardly new, with or without a recession. Tighten up your purse-strings now in order to enjoy the fruits later.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21): Finding something perplexing? Take a step back and ask for someone else to take a stab. Fresh eyes are better than weary ones. LIBRA (Sept 23-Oct 22): Stress can build up over time if you let yourself bottle it in. Find outliers for the strain. Take a run or hit the gym. Release the excess. AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18): Be smart about your next moves. Life can be a bit like chess; a pawn can become a queen, but it can also be easily slain. PISCES (Feb 19-March 20): Moderation can be your friend just as much as it can be your enemy. Too much and you’re overdoing it. Too little and you feel empty.
