SCHOOL OF THE DEAD

There was a school that was a normal school, until one night. While the teacher was cleaning the classroom, she heard something. At first, it was just some small sounds. She didn’t mind the noise, but after some time it started to sound like a voice. And that is when the teacher reacted. It was hard to really hear the voice well, but she knew there was something there.

The teacher started searching the school, and then there it was. There was an old lady standing outside in front of the school. The teacher went out to ask her what she was doing there. But then she saw that the old lady wasn’t just a normal lady, she was a ghost...

The teacher screamed as loud as she could. At the same time that she screamed, everything turned grey. She looked around and something seemed different. She went into her classroom and saw that the whole school now looked like a graveyard.

The next day, she was nowhere to be found…

THE FROG-MAN OF TROUT LAKE

This is the story of the mysterious frog-man of Trout Lake. One day, a girl called Maralyn was walking her dog, Snowy, on the gravel pathway alongside Trout Lake. She was on her lunch break from work, and she still had her name tag on. Suddenly, Snowy started barking madly and bolted, snapping the leash out of Maralyn’s hands. She rushed to grab him, but he got away and ran into the weeds. A couple of seconds later, he stepped back out, covered in mud, water and blood. Snowy had several puncture wounds on his legs, and was limping from the profuse injuries he was suffering. Maralyn noticed that his dog tag was missing. But that wasn’t even her biggest concern.

Maralyn took the rest of the day off. She took Snowy to the vet, who put bandages on his wounds. Then they went home. Maralyn bundled her dog up, placed him on the sofa and turned on the news.

“Breaking news!” said the announcer on the TV. “Dogs and cats are being attacked at Trout Lake. We suspect that a coyote is responsible for the attacks.”

Snowy was wriggling in his blanket, so Maralyn reached in to comfort him. But when she put her hand on him, she felt something wet and slimy. Then, Snowy bit her and she yelled in pain.

Maralyn felt as if red-hot needles were boring into her hands. She threw the blanket off, and sitting there instead of Snowy was the biggest frog she had ever seen. She screamed and chased it out of the house.

The next day, Maralyn found herself heading to Trout Lake on her lunch break again. She walked over to the place where Snowy had been attacked, and that’s where she was last seen.

Her friends were worried and a search party was launched, but after a couple of weeks the urgency died down. When the police eventually offered their opinion, they said that a cougar or coyote might have killed her in defence and dragged her into the lake. Or, they said,

1 3 2

she might have been kidnapped. But there was no evidence, so the case stayed unsolved.

One night, two officers were dispatched to look for Maralyn on all the docks around Trout Lake. Their names were Officer Johnson and Officer Pierre. Pierre noticed a strange disturbance in the water. Then, the reeds rustled apart and a frog-like figure stepped out and looked over at the officers. “This is impossible,” said Pierre. Then, a second frog-figure stepped out. It was wearing a name tag. The name on it was Maralyn.

Nobody ever saw those police officers again. But the next time somebody reported an encounter with giant humanoid frogs, they described seeing four of them. And three of those frog people had name tags on: Johnson, Pierre and Maralyn.

A TRUE SPOOKY STORY ABOUT GRANDVIEW

There is a horde of cyborg zombies living in a basement near our apartment. It all started out before the whole town got infected.

One day my friend Amelia was playing Roblox. She heard growling and grunting coming from her basement but she ignored it and kept playing. But then she heard screaming. She got a little scared, so she paused her game and went to investigate the sound. She opened the basement door and saw that there was no electricity.

“Oh no, there’s no light,” she said. “This will be hard.”

She went into the basement. Over by the corner of the wall, she saw a hand... and it moved. She moved closer to see what it was, being careful so she wouldn’t get jumped. It was a zombie. He had flesh dripping off him, and lots of blood.

Amelia’s phone was dead so she couldn’t take a picture. She ran upstairs and locked the door. She tried to tell everyone but no one would believe her because she didn’t have a photo of the zombie.

And that is the story of the Grandview zombie horde.

BOO HOO

This story begins with a guy named Casper who got crushed by a bookshelf and awoke as a ghost. When he woke up, he was shook at the realization that he could now float through the walls. He tried to fly, too, but found that he could not, and that made him angry.

Casper went outside and saw that the world was a whole different place than it had been when he entered the bookstore. Instead of a busy street with shops and people, all that was left was sand and empty space. He floated for a couple of miles, until he eventually ran into a guy named D. Who was D.? D., it turns out, had the same story as Casper.

D. and Casper told each other about how they both came to be where they were. They were both really confused, but they also realized that they would have to work together to get out of this place. The first thing they wanted was water. Apparently, even ghosts get thirsty. They saw something in the far-off distance that looked kind of like a tree, so they decided to float toward it. When they reached the thing that looked like a tree, they realized it was a bookshelf! They could see that someone was on the other side of the bookshelf, but they couldn’t tell who it was. D. was scared, so he pushed the bookshelf onto the mysterious person and crushed him.

Casper floated over to the body and looked down at the mysterious person. It was Casper himself! He turned around, and D. was gone.

MYSTERIES, BUT I MAKE THEM LOGICAL

Mystery #1

Someone hears people playing basketball when no one is in the gym. What could it be?

Response: Why would you even be at the gym in the first place? And it could be sounds from outside.

Mystery #2

The backpacks at the Backpack Buddies program mysteriously disappeared. What happened to them?

Response: Someone took them.

Mystery #3

Music has played over the intercom when no one was in the office. What was happening?

Response: Someone forgot to turn the intercom off.

Mystery #4

In one of the classrooms, the lights mysteriously flicker every day at 10 a.m. Why is this happening?

Response: The lights might be starting to burn out. It could also be a coincidence.

Mystery #5

The playground is mysteriously shaking. How is this happening?

Response: It could be an earthquake.

That’s all the mysteries for now. The next time you get scared by something mysterious, just think of a logical answer to why it might be happening.

THE TIME MACHINE

The year was 2022 and the place was Grandview Elementary. There were four boys—Y., E., R. and A.—who were all working to build time machines so they could to go back to the year 1421. They worked day after day, until finally, on day 14, they finished building them. But some of them changed their minds and did not want to go. They asked R. to go for all of them.

R. got into his time machine, but something went wrong and it got stuck in the timeline. The three boys who were left tried to find out why it wasn’t working. A. figured it out first: “There is no way you can get stuck in the timeline if you set the date, but we forgot to set it for 1421. We need to go to find R.”

Y., A. and E. climbed inside their time machines, but instead of setting the time for 1421, they did not set a date, just like R. had done. “If there is an infinite timeline, there is zero chance for us to find R.,” said E. The three boys each went on a different path. Y. tried seven different timelines, A. tried nine and E. tried 10, but none of them could find R.

They met back and decided to keep looking. They looked everywhere. Eventually, they did find R., so they all got ready to come back together. When they got back to their own timeline, they decided to break their time machines. But when they got to their home, there was someone else living there. They realized that it was now the year 2040. It turns out that each second you spend in a different timeline equals one hour in your own timeline. Now they were all stuck in the future.

THE SAND PROBLEM

It was 10:30 p.m. on a chilly night, and there was a sand problem at Grandview Elementary School. The problem was that the sand in the schoolyard was rumbling, and it was sucking items down into the ground. Rob, Daisy and Conner were members of a group that solved problems at night. So, they went to see what was happening.

“Okay, we’re here,” said Rob. “I got the stuff we need.”

“Let’s go see the problem,” said Conner.

Daisy asked where the sand was, and Rob looked around to find it. “It’s... right there,” he said.

“Soooo how are we going to do this?” asked Conner.

Daisy went to pick up an item that was lying on the ground. “Oops—it disappeared,” she said.

“Where did it go?” asked Conner.

“It got sucked into the sand,” said Daisy.

Conner pointed to a sewer hole on the other side of the playground.

“How do we get over there?” asked Rob. “We only have three planks of wood.”

“I think we should put a plank down to see how long it takes for it to sink,” said Conner.

The others agreed with the plan, so Conner put a plank down and started to count: “One, two, three, four, five...” At six, the plank disappeared. “Soooo, that’s not what I was expecting,” said Conner.

Now they only had two.

“How are we gonna move all this equipment to the sewer?” asked Rob.

“Can’t we just throw the stuff?” said Daisy. “Test our luck?”

“Hmmm. We should try it once. Let’s use the camera,” said Conner.

Whooosh—they threw the camera over. The plan didn’t work.

“I’m just going to put one plank down and carry absolutely everything,” said Rob.

1 9 2

“Go for it!” said Daisy and Conner. The new plan was a great success. “Yay, I did it!” shouted Rob. “Whoooo!”

Daisy and Conner gave out a clap and went to get the other plank. Rob had already climbed down into the sewer. “Heeelllllloooooo,” he called from underground.

Daisy and Conner followed his voice into the sewer. Right away, they all saw the problem. An evil fat rat was sitting a ways down the sewer, holding a button that turned sand into quicksand when he pushed it. All around the rat were buckets and buckets of stolen items that had been sucked down through the sand.

The rat had not seen them yet. He was laughing. “Rattataheeheeeheee... I have all I need to make the whole world into quicksand!” he said.

Rob whispered to the others: “We should grab him and throw him down the sewer pipe.”

“Okay,” said Conner.

They all ran at the rat, shouting, “Arrrr dar dar dar!”

Rob grabbed the rat by one arm and Conner grabbed the other. Daisy pushed him down. They were all shouting together as they captured the rat: “Whee... whooo... yay... yay... whoooo!”

They grabbed the button and turned it off. The sand problem was solved! Whoooooo!

THE MOTH MAN

Chapter 1: The Camp

It all started when I went to Camp Northman. I remember travelling there on a boat with my best friend CJ and about 16 other girls. It was really hot. I wasn’t worried about us hitting a rock and sinking. When we reached the dock, something didn’t feel right and the staff seemed a bit off. It was a weird feeling. I told CJ, but she said it was fine.

Chapter 2: The Fire

It was beginning to get dark, and I still suspected that something was weird. I didn’t want to leave our cabin, but CJ convinced me to go with her to the bonfire. None of the staff would come close to the fire, which I thought was strange. CJ still seemed fine with everything, but I wasn’t sure about this Camp Northman. Something seemed fake. But at least I was with CJ, I thought.

Chapter 3: The Breakfast

When I woke up the next morning, it was dark. “Shouldn’t it be light?” I thought. I got up, and CJ and I made our way to the mess hall. It was cold and the air smelled weird, like burning rubber.

As we neared the mess hall, some girl started screaming. She was bleeding all over the place and she was covering her ears. A bunch of staff members ran over to care for her, but it was too late. Within the hour, the staff had buried her by the lake.

Chapter 4: The Swim

After what happened, our camp leader said that she would take us on a trip to a nearby cove. It was a beautiful day, and I was excited about the swim. It was about a 12-minute walk from camp to the cove. On the way, I kind of felt dizzy in the sun and ended up passing out from dehydration.

1 11 2

When I woke up, I was in a room with furniture that seemed stuck in the 1980s. It smelled like an old house, like lemons. Just then the phone rang, and one of the nurses who was there ran to answer it. I heard a caller on the other end who seemed upset with the nurse. The nurse hung up, and told me to get out of bed. The last thing I remember was the nurse telling me to go with her.

Chapter 5: The Cove

When I came to, I found myself walking with this mysterious nurse to the same cove my cabinmates were supposed to go swimming in. This time, though, I had some water with me, so I didn’t pass out along the way. When we reached the cove, the nurse took me to a waterfall, and guided me behind it to a cave. The last thing she said to me was, “I’m so sorry.” Then she knocked me out.

Chapter 6: The Creature

When I woke up, I was tied to a big rock. I heard chanting that sounded like crypid, crypid, crypid. Then I saw him. The Moth Man.

He was tall and dark brown, with big red eyes and wings the size of a small car. He sat down on a chair that was made out of stone and I realized that there was a person kneeling in front of him. The person said, “Crypid, my lord, one of the sisters has found a youngling. What shall we do with it?”

I thought to myself, This is how it ends.

THE AIRPORT

I was going to Dubai with a few of my friends: R., P., Y. and A. We got to the airport and got our boarding passes, but Y. had lost his passport, so we had to help him find it. By the time we got to our gate, there were people there with scary faces that looked like zombies. They had disguised themselves like normal people, but we noticed that each of them had the same bloody cut on the side of their neck.

When we got on the plane, R. and I heard a cracking noise. “Do you hear that?” said R. “Yes,” I said. But P. said she couldn’t hear anything, so we took our seats and the plane took off.

After we had been flying for a while, we suddenly heard babies crying and people banging on the doors in the washroom. P. saw what looked like drops of blood around the outside of the washroom. “Ah! I saw a zombie!” said Y. “What?” I said.

Then a guy started to fight the pilot, trying to take over the plane. The plane started to shake and zombies came out from the luggage hold. The zombies ate everyone but us. We got away because P. distracted the zombies while Y. helped us get into the front of the plane. When we reached the pilot’s cabin, A. locked the door and Y. took over the steering.

There was a thunderstorm outside, and at first we couldn’t find anywhere to land. We were close to Dubai, though, so we soon landed in the desert. We called the police and then ran away from the plane as fast as we could. The police helped us fix our cuts and drove us to our hotel, where we enjoyed our holiday.

THE DEMON’S REVIVAL

Chapter 1

Charles let out a mystical demon who had been trapped in a lamp since 1944. James is the one who had trapped him in that lamp. He was a demigod. Charles had found the lamp while he was out for his morning walk. He didn’t know what it was, so he just picked it up. It was no metal lamp, it was a glass lamp. But Charles didn’t know that, and when he accidentally dropped and broke it, the demon got out.

The demon was red because he had been holding in a lot of anger. He wanted to take it out on the people, so he destroyed the city and almost half of the country. He was even on the verge of destroying Earth. But then Charles found a mystical sword that had fallen from the heavens. He used the sword to stop the demon, then he tied him up so he couldn’t attack anything again.

But the demon still had powers. He started to evolve, growing four legs like a horse and six arms like an ant. This took place somewhere in Nevada, the undiscovered land. The date was 16002. The battle lasted for days. The demon got more powerful. Charles threw him into a mystical lava pit, where he was to live for eternity. But first, the demon claimed he’d be back in 100 years. Charles was scared, but he decided the demon was bluffing and could never actually return.

Chapter 2

The demon did return, in his original state. He defeated Charles, who hadn’t been looking, but that didn’t mean no one could defeat him. That’s when another demigod appeared. He was powerful like James, and just as strong. It turns out that James had a son. He had heard about this demon, and had come to do battle with him.

The battle lasted for days, months, almost years. In the end, James’s son won, and peace and love spread across the world. The demon had been absorbing positive and loving energy, and replacing it with destruction and hate.

The people lived a normal life for 16 years, until one day they came across a restaurant called the Red Lobster. The food was better

1 14 2

than it used to be. They started stuffing themselves with food, even food stuffed into other food, like crab stuffed into lobster. Everything was good.

That is, until a lady came in. She had been possessed by a demon, and had been trying to hide it. But she couldn’t pretend anymore. The demon cracked and showed his true form. Then, the demon started destroying everything. The guardians of Earth had passed on to the afterlife, so it was up to new kids who had been chosen by the Excalibur sword to be the next heroes for the generation to come. After a little while of destroying, a mighty warrior named Sonic came forward. Word got around all over the world, and all the countries started sending their mightiest warriors to help Sonic. This was now a normal thing to do after what Charles had done.

Chapter 3

A crack was still open from hell to the overworld. The heroes tried closing it many times, but a demon kraken was preventing them. So, after two years of trying, they just gave up. The mighty warrior Sonic decided to stay for a while, but then something happened. A headless boy had crawled up from hell. Because the people had stopped trying to close the crack, they were always being attacked by demons. To try to keep them back, they had surrounded the crack with holy water and crosses. If it was an emergency, they put holy salt in a circle around the crack, and poured the holy water down when demons tried to come up.

Sonic decided to move into the city. It was still being attacked by demons, but they always found a way to make it work. What they didn’t know was that the demons were evolving, and not in the way you’d think. Instead of getting stronger or faster, they were turning into spirits to haunt people. One little girl couldn’t take the haunting and went missing. When the police found her, they looked at the surveillance tape and saw that a demon had possessed her. But then they remembered that Excalibur could absorb all of the demons.

They started planning how to get to hell and absorb all the demons, but then the sword said, “Just throw me down and I will do all the work.” So they threw Excalibur down into hell. There was a bright glowing light, then the sword flew back up. “The deed has been done,” it said.

No one really knows the secrets that are held behind life. So who can really say.

THE DIME ROBBERY

On November 19, 2020, a place called The Dime got robbed by Captain Underpants. The Dime owed him some money, and Captain was done waiting for it.

I was working my bartender shift at The Dime that night when Captain ran in yelling, saying, “GIVE ME MY MONEY!” I said, “What money? Who are you?” and he said, “I am Captain Underpants and I want my money.” Then he pulled at his underpants, threatening, “If you don’t give me my money I will wedgie you with my underpants.” At this point I felt so lost about what was happening, but, personally, I was not going to take that. So I got up and called the cops and he got arrested for attempted robbery. He went to jail for a long time.

But, one day, Captain Underpants broke out and started planning his revenge. He was going to break into The Dime and take the money for good. He needed the money to buy lots of underwear and capes. When he broke in he tried to teach me a lesson, but he failed to teach me any lesson. I know how to defend myself, and now, while Captain Underpants may have wanted revenge on The Dime, he can’t have it, because he died in jail.

Today, people say that Captain Underpants has been haunting The Dime ever since. Good try, Captain. Maybe you’ll get me next time.

THE DOLL

The girl had been wanting a new doll since Christmas, so the mom finally gave in and bought her one.

But the doll that the mom bought was haunted. It moved around and did bad things. It broke things in the house, but the mom pretty much blamed the girl. The girl tried to tell her mom that the doll was haunted, but her mom didn’t believe it. Every time the girl tried to get rid of it, the mom brought it back. First, the girl tried to throw the doll in the garbage bin for the garbage truck to pick up. A few hours later, her mom spotted the doll when she was taking the trash out and took it back inside the house. Later, at dinnertime, the mom asked the girl why she had left the doll in the trash. The girl acted surprised and said she hadn’t seen the doll there.

The next morning, the girl and the mom were eating breakfast, with the doll at the table next to them. The doll moved its arm and spilled coffee on the mom’s laptop. The girl saw what the doll did and tried to tell her mom. But her mom still did not believe that the doll was haunted.

Then it was midnight, and everyone was sleeping. The doll had a plan. It was going to take paint and write “I hate my mom” on the wall in capital letters. The next morning, the girl’s mom woke up and saw the writing. She yelled for the girl, asking, “Why did you do that?” The girl tried to explain that she had been sleeping and that it was probably the doll. Again, the mom didn’t believe what the girl said. So at this point the girl was grounded, and the mom seemed to love the doll more than the girl.

So now the doll’s plan had succeeded. While the mom was in the shower, the girl’s arms and legs started to turn plastic. She could not escape. Soon, she was fully plastic, and the doll was real. They had switched bodies.

When the mom came out of the shower, she saw what looked like her daughter. But now she was acting better, doing the dishes,

1 17 2

cleaning and doing other helpful stuff. The “girl” asked the mom if she could throw out the “doll.” The mom agreed and the “girl” went out with the “doll.” She took it to the side of the road and left it there, where a truck eventually ran over it. And the “girl” lived happily with her new family.

Months later, the mom was looking at some old family photos and she noticed a ghostly girl in the background that looked exactly like her daughter. She started to rethink everything and wondered if her daughter had been telling the truth. She finally started to notice that her “daughter” wasn’t acting like she used to, and was acting good instead. She started to get suspicious, and wondered if the ghost in the photo was actually her real daughter.

Then she decided she was seeing things, and thought nothing more of it. Everything went back to normal, and the girl woke up from her dream.

THE DRILL

A tattoo artist named Keigo had a best customer named Enji who had 20 tattoos. She said to her, “If you get another tattoo, you can’t go home.” Enji said, “Stop joking. I want a doll tattoo.”

Enji walked out of the store laughing and then went home. She went to lie down on the couch for a few hours, then fell asleep. When she woke up, she was at the tattoo shop.

“Huh?” said Enji. “Oh, haha—good joke. Can I go home now?” But there was only dead silence. Enji yelled again: “CAN I GO HOME?” Hours later, Keigo walked out of a back room, holding a tattoo gun.

“Do I get a free tattoo?!” asked Enji.

Keigo just drilled a hole in Enji’s arm.

“Please let me go,” cried Enji.

Years later, Enji was finally released. But she didn’t remember anything. Then, two years after Enji was released, a man named Koto who had 20 tattoos came to Keigo and asked for another one.

Keigo said, “You don’t want another tattoo,” and Koto said, “Yeah, I don’t need another one. It hurts and it costs a lot of money. Thank you. Sorry, I didn’t get your name?”

“My name is Keigo,” she said.

“Well, bye!” said Koto.

“Bye,” said Keigo.

There were 5 friends, and they all went to the same school. Let’s call them 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The friends all went to 3’s house to sleep over. They all wanted to watch 4 movies that were popular at the time, so they got a bunch of snacks and watched all 4 movies back to back. When they finally got to sleep, it was about 5 or 6 a.m. They had to wake up at 7, so they only had 1 hour of sleep.

As they walked to school, they got some coffee so they could stay awake for most of the school day. When the coffee kicked in, they felt mostly normal, so they all walked to their classes. All 5 had different classrooms, except for 2 and 4, who were in the same class.

5 hours later, there was only 1 hour left of school, and they all started to feel a bit drowsy. Eventually, they all fell asleep. Approximately 3 or 4 hours later, 2 woke up and looked around to see if anyone was there. No one was, except for 4 because they were in the same class.

Immediately after she looked around, 2 rushed over and shook 4 to wake her up. 4 woke up and looked around, then asked where everyone was. 2 looked worried and got up to try the door. When it opened, 2 looked at 4 and signalled for her to come with her.

2 and 4 looked around on the floor they were on. They found 3, who was unconscious in a locker. A few minutes later they found 1, too. 2 and 4 carried 3 and 1 out onto the floor and tried to wake them up by shaking them. They still wouldn’t wake up, so 2 and 4 just sat there for a few minutes.

Just as they were about to give up, they saw a shadow at the end of the hall. They both started to back up as the shadow came closer— then they realized it was 5. At first, 2 and 4 were relieved, but then they saw her leg. 5’s leg looked like it had been cut open: the bone was sticking out and blood was running down her calf, all the way down to make a puddle on the floor by her feet. Meanwhile, 5 just stood there, staring. 2 and 4 screamed at the vision of 5’s leg basically cracking off.

1 20 2 4

4 looked traumatized, frozen with her hand on her mouth, and, as for 2, she got up and tried to run. 5 took her jacket and started trying to stop the blood from coming out from her leg, but soon passed out from losing too much blood. As 5 fell to the floor, 2 started crying. She got up and grabbed 4’s hand and they left to find a place to hide and figure out what happened.

When they found a hiding place, 2 and 4 sat down and started making up theories on what or how 5’s leg had got to the point that the bone was sticking out. After about 10 to 13 minutes, they still couldn’t think of anything. So they got up to see if 1 or 3 had woken up, and to find a way to escape. When they finally got back to the floor where everything had happened, no one was there anymore. 2 and 4 were confused, but they were now focused on escaping so they could at least survive.

They reached the door on the first floor and were about to run outside... until they saw 3 lockers on the ground. 2 looked at 4 to see if she should open the lockers, and 4 nodded yes. 2 and 4 ran up to the 3 lockers and opened them. 1, 3 and 5 were inside, unconscious and purple. Then 2 looked up with lifeless eyes. She ran into a locker too, and shut herself inside.

4 was confused and scared. No one really knows what happened to her, but 1, 2, 3 and 5 were later found at the bottom of a lake.

PUPPIES

At Grandview Elementary, there has always been a theory that they keep puppies in the basement of the school. I often heard noises like a puppy coming through the vents, but our teacher told us never to go down to the basement. I really wanted to see if there were any puppies down there, so I opened the basement door and tiptoed down to look. I didn’t see a puppy. Then, my teacher yanked me out of the basement and got angry with me. My teacher had never done that before and it made me sad, so I cried. My teacher told me never to go in the basement again, then she gave me a cookie. That made me feel better, so I didn’t ask her why the boy in the basement was making noises like a puppy and why he had no arms or legs.

THE HAUNTED CLOTHING STORE

One afternoon while Daisy was having her nap, she was woken up by an alert on her phone. Two teenagers who looked just like Dustin and Alixe were in the alert, but at first she thought nothing much of it. She kept reading, and learned that the two teenagers had gone missing in a clothing store and that some cops had gone in to find them. But now, the cops had gone missing too and none of them ever came out. Then Daisy’s friend Alivea texted her and said that the two teens on the news were actually Dustin and Alixe.

“They went into the store to buy something for you and went missing,” said Alivea in the text. She told Daisy to get some help, and that she would meet her outside the store. Daisy ran to the store and went inside to look for Dustin and Alixe, but as soon as she put one foot inside she felt a bad energy and regretted going in. She looked around for five minutes, wishing it was all a dream. Then she felt like someone, or something, was following her.

No one knows what happened next.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

Today we are at a hotel, planning a heist. The target is RBC. The heist members are J. the Hacker, K. the Getaway, B. the Stealth Expert and D. the Disguise Expert.

Chapter 1: Planning

This is an interactive story. There are two ways of doing the heist.

Number 1: Quiet, stealthy Number 2: LOUD!

If you pick option 2, go over to where it says “Number 2: LOUD!” If you want option 1, stay here.

They all agree on going stealthy. The plan is to go to RBC and bring out three guards while K. waits at the front. Then they will tie the guards up and trap them in the dumpster. The team has no weapons, so the metal detector won’t go off when they go inside. They’ll go to where all the money is. J. will hack the security cams and then hack the way into all the money. Done—that’s the plan.

Chapter 2: Day 2

Now it’s time to do the heist. The team drives to RBC. In the car, J. hacks the security cams. When they reach RBC, they tell the three security guards that there is a raccoon in the dumpster and they need to go out and look. They go to the dumpster but don’t see any raccoons. That’s when the team captures them and locks them in the dumpster. The team takes their clothes and disguises themselves as security guards. Then they go inside. J. has already hacked the vault so it’s ready to open. They have the bags ready, so they open the vault. Suddenly, the alarm goes off—that means they only have five minutes to get all the money. They get out and put all the money in the trunk of

the car. K. is already in the car, but the others get caught before they can get in. K. drives away and gets all the money while the others go to jail.

Later, K. comes to visit his friends in jail. He sneaks in a laptop so J. can hack everyone out of jail.

Number 2: LOUD!

The team hacks the security cams and the sensors so the cops don’t get called. B., the control guy, controls the people so they don’t call the cops. Still, they know they only have three minutes before the cops come.

The team uses a fake toy to stop the people in the bank from calling the cops. D. is an explosive expert and plants a device that will make a lot of noise. The device explodes and goes BOOOM BOOOM!!!

Everyone’s ears are ringing from the explosion, and the vault is open. The vault is full of gold bars. Everyone except B. puts the gold into a bin. The team wheels it outside and loads the gold into the car. The whole team hops in the car and K. drives away. He drives home and the team splits the money. They have to lay low for a bit so the cops stop looking for them. When the time is right, they exchange some of the gold bars for money.

A GIGANTIC SPIDER

A group of adults are in downtown Vancouver, on their way to see a football game. They are catching a bus to get there, but when they get on they see that something is strange. No one else is on the bus. The adults are confused but somewhat glad. They all start looking at their phones, and so they don’t realize where they are going. They think it is any ordinary bus.

Fast forward 30 minutes: the adults are still on their phones and aren’t paying attention to the time. It is already 8:30 and the game started at 8:15. The people realize they’re late, so they ask the bus driver where they are. The bus driver tells them they are downtown. The group doesn’t believe him and asks again where they are, but the bus driver keeps telling them “downtown.”

The group gets mad and demands that he stop the bus and let them off. “Sure, suit yourself,” he says. He stops the bus and lets them off. The adults look around. The surroundings are strange and it doesn’t quite look like downtown. It looks like an abandoned village or town—but how can that be when it was only 30 minutes?

The adults are really freaked out. They are in a complete unknown place, so they go exploring for food and water. While they are searching, one person in the group finds some huge spiderwebs wrapped around some eggs. The person looks a little closer and decides to crack them open. When he does, goo and little spiders come out of the eggs. The man runs as fast as he can, but he stumbles over a massive spider. The other group members start hearing screams off from his direction. They go over to where he was and find webs everywhere but no man. They keep exploring and find other group members tangled up in webs with goo everywhere. Then—boom—they find a huge spider that attacks them with webs. But they are fast enough to escape into a small place where the spider can’t catch them.
