*CALL TO WORSHIP Pastor: God is a great God who has made all people in his own image. People: We are the children of God, brothers and sisters to the people of all nations. Pastor: The fatherhood of God and brotherhood of nations require us to love God above all else, and love each person as ourselves. People: May God's grace enable us to be loving children toward God, and toward each other.

*HYMN OF PRAISE

“”Holy , Holy, Holy ”

Hymnal #64

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (In Unison) Gracious Father, we need you to be our God, and we need each other's love. But we are such self-loving persons, motivated by hate, prejudice, and jealousy. Forgive us for withholding our love from one another, making our devotion to a false commitment of love to you, or anyone else except ourselves. Inspire us with self-giving love; that we may become loving persons, obedient to your command. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. MINISTRY OF MUSIC SCRIPTURE LESSON

IINVITATION TO CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP INVITATIONAL MUSIC

“”Lord, I Want to Be A Christian”

Hymnal #402

(Persons who desire to unite with the church or rededicate themselves may come forward at this time.) THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION Pastor:

God in Christ breaks down the walls that make us strangers to ourselves and to each other. We are the body of Christ. Around this table we enact our faith. The broken body of Christ restores the broken body of Christ’s people to wholeness; Christ’s life poured out offers healing to our shattered world.

MOMENT OF SILENCE PASSING OF THE PEACE THE GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING Pastor:

The Lord be with you.

People:

And also with you.

Pastor:

Lift up your hearts.

People:

We lift them up to the Lord.

Pastor:

Give thanks to the Lord our God.

People:

It is a good and right thing for us to give thanks and praise.

Pastor:

We thank you for the blessing of your creation, for the love of family and church, for the power of your Spirit in our lives, and for the cross at which you give us life, and the empty tomb where you give us hope. Your glory is beyond our imagination. Your love is beyond our comprehension. Your majesty is beyond our words. Yet you have called us your own, redeeming us through your sacrificial love, and you have brought us your life giving word through Christ your Word. And so, with your people on earth, and with all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join the eternal hymn.

All:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Pastor:

Your name, O Lord our Father, is above all other names; your love is beyond all other loves.

People:

You call us by name. With arms outstretched as on a cross you call us to yourself, and you name us as your people.

Pastor:

So with arms outstretched, we now embrace new friends in Christ and renew forgotten hopes. The body broken and the life of Christ poured out transforms our fears, revive our vision.

People:

We praise your name, O Father. We ask with joy and expectation that you will renew us with your Holy Spirit; that we may receive this gift of your body broken for our body’s wholeness, embracing your manifold gifts that meet our manifold needs, and shouting “Amen” so that the whole world may hear. You have sought us out in Christ, you have cleansed us by the gift of Christ’s offering of Himself, and you have raised us up in new life with Christ.

Pastor:

And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s sacrifice for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.

All:

Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

Pastor:

Holy Spirit, come upon us as we share these gifts of bread and cup. Make this meal more than an empty symbol, but an encounter with the living Christ, as we join in Holy Communion. All praise and thanks to you, O Heavenly Father, Christ the Son, and Holy Spirit. All honor and glory is yours, almighty God, now and forever. Amen.

BREAKING THE BREAD Pastor:

The Master Jesus, on the night of his betrayal, took bread, having given thanks; he broke it and said, “This is my body broken for you. Do this to remember me.” After supper, he did the same thing with the cup: “This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you. Each time you drink this cup, remember me.

If you are a first time visitor, please introduce yourself, sign one of our visitor’s cards and put it in the offering basket.
