PRAYER OF CONFESSION (in Unison) Creator God, whose goodness is evident in all creation. We praise you that you kept your promise that while earth remains, seed time and harvest will not cease. We honor you for the beauty we see around us in earth and sky, tree and flower, bird and animal, and in each other. We give glory to your presence in the care you have provided to us. We celebrate life in all its fullness as the most precious gift you offer us, and we give you our heartfelt thanks for the blessings that each day has brought us. We thank you for the sun and the rain, for food and clothing, for freedom from want and freedom to choose the things of life. Accept our thanks for all your gifts. Make us mindful of the love they represent. Help us to care for each other and for your world, so that all may be free and may receive the benefits we take for granted. Give us grateful hearts to love and serve you always. Amen. MINISTRY OF MUSIC SCRIPTURE READINGS

“What Makes a Man? —12 Promises that Will Change Your Life” Study to be held at Braden Church. Men can make a difference! Perhaps more then any other thing today our society needs men who are willing to stand up and make a difference. Men who, having counted the cost, are willing to reflect the character of Jesus Christ in the world of negotiable, confused identities, and distorted priorities. But what does it take to be such a man? How does one become fully Christ like and fully masculine? And what does Christ like masculinity look like in such areas as friendship, marriage, family, church, community, business, relationship with God, and personal identity? That’s exactly what we will discover in “What Makes a Man.” This study is for men only and is offered by the Braden United Methodist Men’ ministry.

Please come and join with us as we explore God’s deeper meaning for the men of this day and age. Date: March 1st, 2011—Time: 6:30 P.M. Place: Braden United Methodist Church Facilitator: Rev. Carl Marshall
