Sellers Property Management Digital Presence Audit
Website: Above average; image optimization would increase score.
Facebook – 0/100 Recommendations: Post a cover photo Publish posts more often Ask business partners, customer and friends to become fans Open your page and let users communicate with you Try promoted page ads to gain more likes (and, ultimately, tips/referrals) Ask more questions to your fans Like other pages and interact with them Create engaging posts at least twice a day Diversify your types of posts Post at the prime time for Facebook interaction
Facebook (Cont.)
Instagram Recommendations: Posting at least once a day or every other day Using high quality photos and graphics Using large images (tiled with one image using 9 separate posts) Using Instagram’s multiple photo feature (ex: 5 home photos and one informational photo/slate) Posting real estate/financial advice Converting to a business page (connecting to Facebook page) Commit to gaining more followers Correcting grammar in bio
Twitter – N/A Recommendations: Set up account, particularly for digital footprint purposes Tweet at least 2-3 times per day YouTube Recommendations: Upload preview videos at least once per week
Google Presence Recommendations: Complete Google listing Add content to Google+ (Why? Google uses this as an indicator of relevance, which means you’re more likely to show up in searches)
SEO Report Card Recommendations: Virtually all links (12) on the internet leading to your site are self-posted listings. Adding a blog with shareable content will attract more traffic to your website. For example, if a blog post about home buying tips is mentioned by a local reporter, it will draw traffic and create a link back to your site and/or social media. This will, in turn, increase your relevance and exposure on Google.
PowerListing Scan (Business average is 75 – 95%) Recommendations: Add your business information to all search engines. Without this information, searching for you online is virtually impossible.
Summary: You’re website is your best asset, however your digital footprint is almost non-existent otherwise. Your social media presence in particular needs much more consistent content for several reasons: most obviously, for more potential leads/tips and clients. Also, people are much more likely to trust and respect a brand with a solid, active social media presence. As it stands, not posting to Facebook and only occasionally to Instagram may imply that these pages are largely dormant at best, and, coupled with the lack of listings online, could mean potential leads/tips and customers have been missed. Committing to 23 diverse posts per day is the first step to rectifying this. I hope to discuss this with you soon. Cheers! Bliss Davis
