A chop for charity I’ve been motivated to donate my hair to help children who have been affected by cancer or other illnesses feel their best and give them a chance to feel like a regular kid again. One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their life time, and we all know someone who has or is suffering with it. I feel it is only right that we proactively do our best to make sure we don’t have to witness our loved ones battle for their lives. I plan on donating at least 12 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust and along with your help, donate money to Cancer Research to help beat cancer. Cancer Research fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. Over

the past 40 years the survival rate in the UK has doubled. It relies on donations from the public to move towards beating cancer. Since 2006, The Little Princess Trust have been providing young people, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatments or other conditions, with free wigs. With Covid affecting all of our lives for the last two years, the charity needs your help more than ever. Diagnosis, treatment and care have subsequently been affected for those that desperately need it. Please help me to raise money to support this charity, and the people that it cares for. I’ve had family members loose their battles to cancer, and feel it’s only right to give back to

Hi, I am Amy, the café supervisor at Nuffield Health, and I will be cutting my hair on the 25th February for the Little Princess Trust. a charity that gave so much support and care at the most difficult time. If you have any money to spare, I would greatly appreciate your support. Your donation means more families can continue to keep creating memories together. women footballers Tring Athletic has all the facilities ready to go… it’s just awaiting women, who love playing football to contact us Women’s football is growing fast, as women show they can play the beautiful game too. The number of women playing football has skyrocketed since the Women’s World Cup. However, it can be a problem finding pitches and training facilities, but Tring Athletic FC is planning to start a women’s team and has both great facilities (A large clubhouse with bar and changing rooms) a coach, and a lovely pitch (complete with expert groundsman) …so what are they waiting for? Well, YOU actually! They are

scouring the local area to find women footballers who want to commit to playing and enjoying football training regularly. Players who have a passion for playing football, fast learners who want to keep fit, have fun, and play football in a local league. If you haven’t played for a while or need to work at your fitness don’t worry, just dust off those boots and email us if you would like to be included in our forthcoming training sessions. The Coach, Carl Brady who in his younger days had trials for professional clubs, has coached both male and female, junior

and adult teams is certainly up for the challenge; “We are searching Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Aston Clinton, Chesham and Wendover and beyond for women who would like to play football. I played football for years and loved the camaraderie, the fitness, and skill involved in playing competitively within a successful team. It would be nice to put something back into the game and women’s football is very exciting at the moment. I just hope there are enough women locally who want to play! To express your interest and to be included in forthcoming training sessions please email carl@bigstick.co.uk or telephone 07952 641999.

Most people believe that healthy water is water without contaminants in it. However that is just part of the story, as research is increasingly showing.

www.yourhealthhub.uk

Is all water the same for our health? Tap water in the UK meets the requirements set down in terms of acceptable levels of chemicals in the water. However what is not known is the impact of a cocktail of these chemicals on human health. In our increasingly polluted planet we have potential residues of pesticides, herbicides, micro plastics, pharmaceutical drug residues, hormones and other toxins in addition to water treatment chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride. These can be present in the water supply at low concentrations. It is very sensible for our health to remove them. That should be the first stage of water filtration to give us healthy drinking water. However there are other aspects of water conditioning that are less well known

but equally important for optimum health. In our view healthy water should have good structure, be slightly alkaline and have antioxidant properties to enhance wellbeing. Over the last couple of decades there has been considerable scientific research on the antioxidant benefits produced by molecular hydrogen in water. You are unlikely to find any in tap or bottled waters. However its value for human health should not be disregarded. Additionally, research is showing the importance of water structure in human health to aid water absorption and protect the integrity of our cells. Many people consume copious amounts of water daily, however it is largely going straight through their bodies, it is not being absorbed. One of

4.9/5

the prime contributors to that is lack of mineral electrolytes or alkaline minerals to give water good structure. If you are thinking about water filtration then you should consider systems that not only remove high levels of contaminants but also improve the structure of the water, give it antioxidant properties and beneficial alkaline minerals. It will greatly support your wellbeing, in addition to tasting better. This article was written by Roddy MacDonald of Water for Health Ltd, specialist suppliers of innovative products to enhance the health giving properties of water. www.water-for-health.co.uk

You may have noticed your gums bleed when brushing or flossing this is known as gingivitis. It is a reversible disease. Puberty gingivitis can affect both boys and girls. Only small amounts of plaque need to be present to stimulate your immune system and cause inflammation. A few days before the start of menstruation up until the end of your period, you may notice bleeding and inflamed gums and your teeth may be more sensitive to hot & cold. In some

and break more easily. Risk of gum disease and tooth loss is increased. The best way to look after your mouth throughout these changes is to brush your teeth last thing at night and one other occasion, so you are brushing twice a day. Clean in between your teeth once a day with interdental brushes, floss, or a water flosser. Visit your dentist and hygienist regularly. Eating a well-balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables in their most whole form, with little to zero sugar without any processing and taking a Vitamin

C & D supplement (if you do not consume enough in your diet) keeps our bodies strong and gives it the fuel it needs to thrive. References available on request. Being aware of how hormones can contribute to these changes can help you better be prepared to look after your mouth. Oral health has been linked to our general health; this is not surprising since our mouths are the gateway into our body. Throughout life our hormones fluctuate, especially around puberty, menstruation, in pregnancy & during menopause. The main hormones involved are the sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone.

women, oral contraception can also cause these symptoms. Sensitivity usually reduces after ovulation and some studies recommend dental treatment after your period ends; however, we have a greater tolerance to pain in the ovulatory phase of our cycle. Pregnancy gingivitis is usually seen in the second and third trimesters. A swollen lump can sometimes be seen, which usually disappears after pregnancy has ended. The gums may look bulbus and bleed easily. Menopausal gingivostomatitis is seen in some women during menopause or post menopause. The gums may look and feel thinner, you may notice gum recession, dry mouth, an altered taste, burning mouth and your bones can lose strength

In confidence, we share our lived experiences, exploring the paradoxes, unknowns, hopes and fears of living our shared, finite existence. You may gasp. This world seems to ignore the utter certainty that this body of ours will return to ashes and to dust. Nor do we know, for sure, what happens to this consciousness, and this aliveness that animates it. Some have views, and they may well be right, but here at Being Mortal we are most concerned with living with the knowledge that any moment can be the last, we could go to sleep tonight and not wake up tomorrow morning fall dead walking in the street, have a fatal accident, be murdered, contract a deadly disease or simply decline gradually. The mind boggles at the possibilities. But however it occurs, it is going to happen. So, how can we live authentically, vibrantly, as if each moment is our last? (The next moment may very well be we are mortal beings - we pass on, our bucket is kicked, our clogs popped, our number is up) • Putting our belief aside for a time, we hone in on the present moment. And this leads to a meditative undercurrent to all the laughs that we share, all our tears, and joys, as we fill each moment with this paradoxical knowledge, • this consciousness of the preciousness of the moment, and of how this presence can be there throughout our life and our death.

www.yourhealthhub.uk

What is it to live with this Mortal awareness? There is no definitive answer, we live with uncertainty. Being intense, fun-loving, chilled, relieved, relaxed, curious, joyful, fearful, in desperation - all can be lived in this moment of Now, for better or for worse, “As it is, and will be always, world without end” The very now… Cos’ what’s the worse thing that can happen - I could die! During the Gatherings in our speaking and in our meditation, we touch on the possibilities of non-judgement, noncontemplation, into just being in this Here and Now, this moment with each other. For me, this is a moment just as the one that will be, when I leave this body behind, an open question. Our sharing circle encourages respect and confidence, to give safety and security, our priority is to listen - there is real magic in being heard by people who are present with us, relaxes, soothes us. Our shared human frailty and mortality is a revelation in real time. We are in the departure lounge of material Life. Sometimes this makes us laugh or cry, we accommodate all of it, as we recount the endings of our loved ones, how their lives have shaped ours, the continuum moves on…. We share our concerns about the wellbeing of those we leave behind. We offer support to tell our families that we will die sooner or later, and discuss what we want our end to be like, and after wards. Can we tell those precious ones “I love you” now? We also consider practicalities and offer practical help such as • making a will • making a Living Will (Advance Decision) • making a Power of Attorney for Wellbeing/Finance • designating our personal possessions for our descendants • funerals celebrations and burial wishes and much more We get comfortable with the word ‘Death’, with the possibilities of our Death and of our loved ones. And in our breaks, sharing delicious, healthy snacks drinks and informal conversation we find our common humanity, as companions - a sense of community. If you are comfortable in a confidential group sharing situation, please ask to join us to explore what it is to Be Mortal – (when necessary we meet on Zoom as well). We meet once a month. Protection against viral infection

Metabolic health Blood sugar Blood pressure Inflammation Abdominal fat

Strengthen your immunity for a healthier winter! By Mark Francas, Nourish Men’s Nutrition & Health Our Immune system is the best defence we have against viruses. We know many viruses (including covid) are more virulent in winter, so this is the time to ensure our immune defences are as strong as possible. A robust immune system is

The big six nutrients to boost immunity Vitamin D

Mushrooms, egg yolk, fortified milk Salmon, canned tuna

Vitamin C

Citrus fruits, berries Broccoli, capsicum, spinach, parsley

Omega 3

‘Oily’ fish – salmon, mackerel, herrings Walnuts, ground flax seed

vital to prevent infection, reduce the severity of symptoms and aid recovery if we are infected. The good news is that making some simple diet and lifestyle changes can significantly lower the risk of infection and severe illness - whether it be covid or one of the other winter bugs. My colleague Ben Brown (Director, Nutritional Medicine Institute) proposes three main influences on viral susceptibility: Metabolic Health: These factors (blood sugar, blood pressure, tummy fat, etc) affect many aspects of your health, not just your immune system, and are not discussed further here. Lifestyle: Some simple lifestyle changes can have a profound effect on immune health. Medical research confirms that getting enough exercise and enough sleep can significantly reduce the likelihood of viral infection. Managing stress levels is another key lifestyle factor. Exercise and good sleep help control stress, but proper relaxation is also crucial - that doesn’t necessarily mean taking up yoga or meditation (though both are very beneficial !); it could be spending more time relaxing with friends or outdoors in nature. Better social connections and more time in nature are proven means of reducing psychological stress. Nutrition: Recent research around the covid pandemic has confirmed six key

nutrients as having the biggest effect on viral susceptibility. We can get these nutrients from supplements but it’s always better to get them directly from the food we eat. The good news is that they are present in many common foods: All six are important but Vitamins D and C are the real champions - they are highly protective against all infections. We could add three common spices to the above list - garlic, ginger, and turmeric are also great immune boosters. There’s lots of food choices so increasing your Big Six nutrients shouldn’t be too

difficult. I’m sure you’re already eating some of these things, so just increase the frequency a bit. And with new foods, introduce them gradually - dramatic diet changes usually don’t last! • Add some berries, nuts, seeds to your breakfast cereal or salads; eat eggs more often • If you’re currently eating salmon once a week, bump it up to twice • Put more veg or some chickpeas into your curries / stews as well as the meat Your immune system will thank you and you’ll be much better placed to avoid the winter bugs (including covid. Good luck!

I often thought about my needs of a cocoon (like in the film cocoon, 1985). Sometimes we all need “our breaks”, break from the stresses of life. In the movie Cocoon there were a group of people who found swimming in the water with the cocoons made them healthier, younger and gave them more energy. This is what I craved so many days in my life since 2016 when my life was some what turned upside down. I was in my final year at university studying to be a dental hygienist. I was suffering with severe headaches, headaches that sometimes were so bad they left me unable to talk, walk and communicate. I had suffered with headaches for four years intermittently, but these were something else and they were not shifting. I took myself to emergency walk in centres at Hemel Hempstead, numerous GP appointments at my local surgery and even took private opinions. Eventually after Hemel Hempstead walk in centre refused to see me

after turning up so often, they gave me the best advice “go and get an MRI scan referral from your GP”. After a CT scan and MRI scan just days later, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. With just weeks away from my finals at university. There was no way I was letting a brain tumour stand in my way. So, I battled on in pain, waiting until no one was around before I cried. I was no longer able to drive so had to rely on others to help me get to Essex from Hertfordshire 4 days a week. Due to the surrounding oedema in my brain, I underwent brain surgery to remove my tumour. Just two weeks after brain surgery I sat my final exams at university and managed to pass with a distinction. With huge battles with recovery and fatigue I had to manage my symptoms. I was able to work with the fatigue by introducing mediation into my life. I meditated every three hours and ate regularly to keep up my energy levels. My battle with fatigue continues to this day and I had regrowth in 2020. I finished 30 rounds of radiotherapy in March 2021 and was able to continue to work through all of it part time. Never underestimate the abilities of our body & mind, and the benefits that meditation bring. Meditation became my cocoon. For my full story follow my blog https://sarahtomlinsonblog. wordpress.com/

The path to a healthier lifestyle When we start our New Year’s resolution, many people start very eagerly and have a good start to their life changes, however it is important to be able to make changes that outlast the fad of New Year’s and become lifelong improvements. Therefore, these are our top tips to keep your hard work going throughout the year and not just for January: 1. Start Small – There is a massive urge to go absolutely bananas when you first get back into training in January. Most of us have gained some weight of Christmas and New Years from one too many mince pies, so we feel like we need to make up for lost time. However, overdoing it from zero training a week to all of a sudden 5 sessions can cause injuries, make you feel exhausted and demotivated when you first start. 2. Train for you, not other people - Although social media and influencers are a massive part of daily life now. Don’t try to compare yourself to them or to other people. Train for you and your goals, not because you are comparing yourself to these online moguls and ludicrous ‘standards’ set by people online. 3. Keep it fun – If you enjoy something, you will stick to it. So find what you enjoy in the gym and do that. Whether that’s Cardio, Weights, Boxing, HIIT, classes, buddy workouts, swimming and other sports – there is plenty of choice, find something that you can look forward too and the health benefits will just be an added bonus. 4. Make your goals achievable – People commonly

use goals to direct their changes and training but these can often be vague and open ended. Commonly used to make your goals more defined and directed is the use of SMART goals. Make each of your goals: Specific: What exactly do you want to achieve Measurable: How can you define when you have achieved it? i.e. weight you want to lose, number of gym sessions a week, etc. Attainable: Is it challenging but doable? Realistic: Are you being sensible with your goal and allowing yourself to be able to fulfill your goal? Time-bound: By when will you be able to complete your goal? With these four top tips we hope that your New Year’s resolutions will be more successful and long-term, and start your path to a healthier lifestyle. Nuffield Health is the United Kingdom’s largest healthcare charity. Established in 1957 the charity operates 34 Nuffield Health Hospitals and 114 Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing Centres. Your HealtH HuB FITNESS When you think about the coming year, whether you happen to be somebody who makes resolutions or not, you will probably have reflected upon some goals or intentions that you want to aspire to in the months ahead.

Meditation Mastery I remember when I began my meditation journey that I struggled to really “get it”. How

did I know when I had done it successfully and what was I really trying to achieve? I heard others saying how helpful it was, that it somehow helped you become calmer, but the act of meditating was not easy and I found it difficult trying to empty my brain of thoughts. As I have continued the journey however, I realised that it isn’t really a process of trying to attain nothingness, its more about allowing what is and channelling my energy into the present moment. Tuning in to what’s going on in my body, focusing on the rise and fall of my chest as I breathe, centres me in the moment. I have

Meditation – the superpower to reaching your goals You may have your own methods for how you set these out and reach for them. For most people this includes writing them down, creating some affirmations or starting a plan of action. These are all useful ways to move forward and make your intentions a reality. What you may not have factored in, however, is how powerful meditation is as a tool to helping you attain your goals and for your overall personal growth throughout the year.

found that allowing myself to tap into all the sensory experiences around me also transports me out of the narrative running through my head into the magic of the moment. I find this to be even more powerful when I’m in nature. Stopping to lift my face to the sun, listen to the bird song and feel the wind on my face is a beautiful way to feel grounded, connected and alive. Suddenly, the chatter stops and I’m just here in this moment and I begin to sense a connection to bigger life force. I also use sound as a means for meditation in my practice. Attendees of my sound baths tell me that the beautiful tones of the instruments help transport them to a place that seems more ethereal or closer to nature. But how does meditation lead you to your goals?

When we are able to focus on the present moment we develop a new conscious awareness which enables us to change our perspective. Responding to the change in our thought patterns, our bodies become more rested. With our nervous system calmer, we are able to tune out the noise around us and tune more authentically into our inner self. We are then in a better place to make decisions that are right for us and to start to tap into our inner wisdom and intuition. This is an optimal place to hear more clearly what our goals are, how they align with our purpose and to move towards them from a place of strength and centredness. As we deepen our meditative practice, we can also begin to unlock visualisations of the life we desire. Using the power of our thoughts and

the emotional energy of our bodies we can experience a taste of what is to come and give ourselves enhanced possibilities to reach it. Maybe this is the year for you to start utilising the power of meditation? If you haven’t done it before, even starting with a short 5-10 minute practice will help you see some positive changes. Sarah is a hypnotherapist, mentor and sound healing therapist. She uses guided meditation and sound frequency to successfully help others connect to their inner voice and to reach their goals. Sarah runs sound baths both in person and online. To experience a sound bath or to speak to Sarah about how you can reach your goals in 2022 connect with her at www.sarahsheldon.com

Rediscovering the River Colne! There is a perception that the River Colne in Watford is in many parts dirty, inaccessible, unkempt and of low wildlife value. However, there are some places and sites which illustrate how a healthy River Colne can enhance the lives of local people. Building on these foundations, Watford Borough Council is delivering a 10-year plan, with 3 years of community engagement. This will help improve the River Colne and its’ green corridor for local people and wildlife. Groundwork East are a key partner for this project, and we are looking for members of the general public, community groups, schools and businesses to help progress this vision

It’s a sociable course, as you and your children aged 2-5 years, take part in activities as a family unit and with other families, and gives you the chance to add more fresh vegetables and fruit to your

Life and Death Meditation, Sharing

Spirit and plant medicines are part of life for shamans and various tribes around the world. With more access to these remote areas where traditional plant and shamanic medicine is practiced, there has been a growing interest in how these practices may be used to treat and help us. In the first of this new series of articles on plant and spirit medicine, we explore Kambo. Kambo originates in the jungles of the amazon where hunters of its indigenous tribes call on the medicine to strengthen their bodies and minds before a hunting expedition. Kambo comes from the secretions of the Giant Monkey Frog. It helps to focus their minds for the hunt, heightening senses, and removing “bad spirits” (we may know these as depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues). Outside of the Amazon, Kambo has been the subject of more than

two decades of scientific research. Researchers believe that the secretion could open up a new world of treatments for a whole host of ailments and mental health issues. lower Jiao kidneys/womb/intestines. It has the ability to heal and support the healing of many issues. Toxins have been building up in our systems for centuries due to physical issues and a lot emotional and spiritual ones too. This medicine is an amazing guide to the deep trauma within us and our ancestors too. The medicine can be used for all. It is a true medicine for your soul and heart. Spiritually, it will be guided to work best how you need which is beautiful. Always with these old traditional medicines seek advice from an experienced Practitioner, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Spiritual Dacorum The power of BOOK REVIEW

attraction

Have you ever thought about changing something in your life, only to start seeing articles or items that relate to that something? Have you ever thought about someone you must call, only to hear from them later that day? Ever wished for something, then that something comes into your life? The power of attraction, it is something we have all heard about, and I bet it has happened to you in some way. In this book you join David and his wife Lin as they embark on an amazing spiritual journey. They find out by opening their eyes to events around them that life does indeed present the right opportunities at just the right time. Between them, they continually align the stars to ensure their goals are realised. For me personally, this book had many names and places I had read about years ago, and at the time thought I must go there, or find out how to be involved, only for those moments to pass. By reading “Power for Good”, I realised I had missed those moments, but I love how the universe has now

given me another nudge. Serendipity indeed. With a heap of love and a host of amazing teachers and lessons along the way, this is a must read for anyone on a spiritual path who is interested in how to use the Power for Good. You can buy the book here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerGood-Saying-lifes-invitations/ dp/1910027316/

AGONY AUNT LISA It was lovely to read your article in the first issue of Your Health Hub. Unfortunately, I did not have such smooth sailing like you in my divorce, it has been a battle, and he completely ignores me. Shortly after I left the marriage in 2020, I was diagnosed with Breast and Lymph cancer just as we went into lock down. Thankfully, I have recovered well from treatment, however I still feel tied down when I want to be free to choose my own life. My son is 17 but wants his own independence, my daughter is 19yrs old and at University. My son lives with me. My mother is 88yrs and relies on me heavily for sorting her out with health and all other matters. My question is that I still feel trapped by the needs of others, (my mother mainly). I am also very entrepreneurial and would like to have my own children’s book shop, but I have to take into account money and commitment when I am not out of the woods with health. My head is saying I need to stay where I am needed, but I would really like to be free, I am not getting any younger myself (56!). My son thinks I should give him money to buy a flat for him and his girlfriend to live in. They are both very mature for their ages, but then this will leave me alone. After having a double mastectomy and having been in a depressing marriage I have no confidence left to look for a new life partner. So, what would you advise, as I am just going around in circles in my head. I need clarity. The matrimonial home will be sold shortly so will be coming into funds to buy a new beginning for myself so any ideas welcome. Many Thanks, A x

Dear Lisa I have spent the last 23 years looking after my autistic child, well that will never end, but I am determined to get back into the dating game and have some fun just for me, it has been a long time and I want that me time now. My question is, how and where do I even start? I feel so far removed from dating, I feel I have totally lost all confidence on how its done! Help Please! J from Hemel Hempstead.

Hi J Thank you for getting in touch! This is slightly out of my area of expertise, being new to the dating world myself! I have however prepared myself by being absolutely sure of my worth! If it’s a man you’re looking for, don’t be afraid to kiss a few Frogs before you meet your Prince! And by that I mean, have fun, date lots but be very quick to kick them to the curb and move on if they’re not treating you like a queen! Dear A

Giving yourself to others: First of all I can see that you are a caring and nurturing person which is a beautiful gift to have. But it does come with its drawbacks as you are noticing. Helping people is a wonderful thing to do and being aware of others’ needs is important for all of us but when we help others or feel responsible for them at the detriment of ourselves then we need to take a look at our boundaries. The people who we help would not want to be responsible for the demise of our wellbeing because of giving everything we have to them whether that be financial, emotional or physical. So, the first thing to look at are ways in which you can still help and support others but not at the detriment of being able to follow your dreams. I’m not saying this is easy - I’m sure you will always feel responsible for your children and also, looking after elderly parents is something that we all have to consider at some point and I know very well that it is a real challenge faced and very difficult to find a balance. Perhaps there are others who can help out with your Mum or outside help you can arrange to enable her to be more independent. Please watch your own emotional guilt attachments - this is important to be aware of if you’re letting yourself be led too much out of a sense of guilt which can trip all of us up. Your Dream: The beautiful thing about your story is that you have a dream! A dream of opening a children’s book shop which is wonderful. Many people do not know what they want to do or are unaware of their dreams - let alone see a promising path towards them so you are certainly strides ahead here and I want you to focus on how positive that is! You’ve given your life to your marriage and your children and now it is your time to shine and follow your dreams. It’s a difficult era age-wise: when we get older, naturally anxieties become more forefront in our lives, children growing up and thinking about leaving home so empty nesting

Thank you so much for getting in touch, I am very grateful for the opportunity to read your story and hopefully give you a little bit of insight and guidance. You certainly have a lot going on which I think will resonate with many of our readers who may be going through similar situations so I am incredibly grateful to you for sharing this. Find out how to manage the juggle without feeling overwhelmed, stressed or exhausted. is a consideration and starting a new life after a divorce can also be daunting. However, it would be easy to focus on all of the negatives, but the real magic occurs when we focus on what we do have, what we can appreciate and what brings us joy. Gratitude is an everyday, every minute awareness that will change your life dramatically and it won’t cost you a penny. Health: You sound like you have your recovery going well and your attitude comes across as positive which is great. Keep focusing on wellness. Appreciate how strong your body is to have gone through an illness and a surgery and be recovering. Focus on the strength, the wellbeing and the healing. Nourish and look after your miraculous body and it will continue to heal. Relationships: Appreciate the relationships you have in your life that are going well - you said you have 2 teenage children who are doing well; focus on their strengths and what you have done for them to bring them up in such a positive way - you’ve cultivated strong independent children, celebrate and appreciate their good qualities. Appreciate and focus on the things your Mum can do for herself, it is clear there are many things that you have to be involved with but appreciate and celebrate the things she does independently.

It IS possible and achievable!
