A chop for charity I’ve been motivated to donate my hair to help children who have been affected by cancer or other illnesses feel their best and give them a chance to feel like a regular kid again. One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their life time, and we all know someone who has or is suffering with it. I feel it is only right that we proactively do our best to make sure we don’t have to witness our loved ones battle for their lives. I plan on donating at least 12 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust and along with your help, donate money to Cancer Research to help beat cancer. Cancer Research fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. Over
the past 40 years the survival rate in the UK has doubled. It relies on donations from the public to move towards beating cancer. Since 2006, The Little Princess Trust have been providing young people, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatments or other conditions, with free wigs. With Covid affecting all of our lives for the last two years, the charity needs your help more than ever. Diagnosis, treatment and care have subsequently been affected for those that desperately need it. Please help me to raise money to support this charity, and the people that it cares for. I’ve had family members loose their battles to cancer, and feel it’s only right to give back to
Hi, I am Amy, the café supervisor at Nuffield Health, and I will be cutting my hair on the 25th February for the Little Princess Trust. a charity that gave so much support and care at the most difficult time. If you have any money to spare, I would greatly appreciate your support. Your donation means more families can continue to keep creating memories together. Tring Athletic needs
women footballers Tring Athletic has all the facilities ready to go… it’s just awaiting women, who love playing football to contact us Women’s football is growing fast, as women show they can play the beautiful game too. The number of women playing football has skyrocketed since the Women’s World Cup. However, it can be a problem finding pitches and training facilities, but Tring Athletic FC is planning to start a women’s team and has both great facilities (A large clubhouse with bar and changing rooms) a coach, and a lovely pitch (complete with expert groundsman) …so what are they waiting for? Well, YOU actually! They are
scouring the local area to find women footballers who want to commit to playing and enjoying football training regularly. Players who have a passion for playing football, fast learners who want to keep fit, have fun, and play football in a local league. If you haven’t played for a while or need to work at your fitness don’t worry, just dust off those boots and email us if you would like to be included in our forthcoming training sessions. The Coach, Carl Brady who in his younger days had trials for professional clubs, has coached both male and female, junior
and adult teams is certainly up for the challenge; “We are searching Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Aston Clinton, Chesham and Wendover and beyond for women who would like to play football. I played football for years and loved the camaraderie, the fitness, and skill involved in playing competitively within a successful team. It would be nice to put something back into the game and women’s football is very exciting at the moment. I just hope there are enough women locally who want to play! To express your interest and to be included in forthcoming training sessions please email carl@bigstick.co.uk or telephone 07952 641999.
