Lakme Fashion Week has given way to some exceptional beauty trends. Fat Mu, the official makeup partner for most shows brings to us some of the trends spotted and a highlight of their creations.

Beauty and Fashion are the two sides of the same coin. Hair and Make up artists create new looks back stage, which then go on and define the look of the season and the become trendsetters. Every designer’s collection doled out beauty looks that will set the way to the coming festive and bridal season.

The caustic hair and beauty styles of the fashion model gets accentuated with the subtle and in your face make up and hair. They are like the embellishments without which the Fashion story would taste just too bland. They work back stage, the hair and make up artists, but it is their work which silently paves the way for the applause and euphoria on the ramp and front rows alike.

Trends 2016 The Lakme Fashion Week is a bi annual show in Mumbai. It is all about putting on stage the newest fashion labels, and the craft of the designers on centrestage. It also serves as a platform for the backstage hair and make up artists to silently work their magic on the models to add good measure of oompf to the entire show.

Sridevi Ramesh Her facebook profile describes her as a make up artist living in Chennai and Director at Sridevi Bridal collections. New Age Salon in its constant talent hunt had spotted her at the recent Professional Beauty show in Delhi and here is what we learnt about this bright young artist with sparkling eyes who has enough zeal to reach to the stars. She talks about her journey into this magical world of colors, shine and glamour and the rigourous work she has had to do to reach the level she is at today. Her journey ofcourse is ongoing and we give you just a glimpse of it .

What made you become a make up artist.

Since my early child hood years, I have had a strong interest in make up. Many a times I would try make up on myself through matching eye shadows for matching dresses. Much later in life this passion continued.

When I was in the middle east I was so fascinated by the way Arabian women did make up and make overs.

My husband motivated me to become a makeup artist and he has been guiding me in every stage of my entrepreneurial journey.

What is your education qualification.

While I graduated in Home Science, my heart was always wanting to do makeup. So at the first opportunity I did a course from the London Makeup Institute, Dubai.

From then on my journey into education in the art of makeup began. I learnt from the The makeup school London. I also graduated in Hair dressing from the Kevin fortune Hairstyling academy London and the Patrick Cameron Hairdressing academy London.
