BOSCH HOLDS SUCCESSFUL NETWORKING EVENTS The company was pleased to hold two highly successful events following the last two years The 2022 Bosch Car Service (BCS) Conference was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne across the 7th and 8th of April. It was a great success with over 130 delegates in attendance, comprising of 100 BCS, service partners and Bosch personnel. Themed “Car Service #LikeABosch”, BCS members were introduced to the latest BCS consumer marketing campaign at the conference. According to internet meme culture, when mastering a task easily, it makes you feel “Like a Boss.” Taking example of this online hype, Bosch transformed this saying into “Like a Bosch.” Over the last few years, the message (via videos), has highlighted the innovative benefits of intelligent Bosch products and has communicated that through connected solutions and premium manufacturing quality, anyone can live the smartest life – being at home, on the road, and in a professional environment. The first #LikeABosch video in the series alone had more than 23 million views, making it the fifth most successful ad on YouTube in 2019 – worldwide. Fast forward to today, the most recent video to be added to the #LikeABosch series is related to car servicing by Bosch Car Service. The BCS conference networking event began with a casual welcome cocktail function on the Thursday evening, where BCS members from all over Australia were able to gather for the first time in two years. The following day, the MC (John Deeks or “Deeksie” as he is widely known), navigated through a packed conference schedule featuring presentations from Automotive Aftermarket industry professionals including Bosch, Capricorn, and the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association, just to name a few. The conference also coincided with the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo (AAAE), which conference delegates had the opportunity to visit on the Friday afternoon. The AAAE showcased the latest vehicle repair and service equipment, parts, tools and accessories, new technology and trends, plus a comprehensive

training and education program. The largest event to focus on the Automotive Aftermarket in Australia and New Zealand, it was also the very first occasion since 2019 to interact face to face with other mechanical workshops on this scale. The Bosch 6m x 13m stand showcased the full range of parts (including Batteries, Brake Pads, Spark Plugs and Wiper Blades), Technical Training Programs, Bosch Car Service, and the latest equipment such as the Bosch DAS 3000 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Calibration Unit, KTS 250 Diagnostic Tool and the ACS 753 – Premium Air Conditioning Service Unit. A 2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo S EV from Porsche Centre Brighton was also setup on the stand to demonstrate the Bosch DAS 3000 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Calibration Unit. Visitors to the stand also had the chance to win a Bosch powered Cube eBike. With the theme ’The Workshop of the Future is Here,’ and the introduction of new initiatives and features, Bosch had equipment setup on the event’s “Workshop of the Future” stand where Bosch Senior Automotive Technical Trainer, Darren Todd, provided a very well received presentation on the topic of “Working with ADAS Technology – Covering Vehicle Calibration.” After the visit to the exhibition, it was time to glam up for the 2022 BCS Gala Awards Dinner at the Mayview Ballroom back at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The special evening, with the amazing “Effie” as MC for the evening, was a night to remember. BCS members came together to celebrate a belated 100 years of Bosch Service (marked in 2021), and to recognise individual achievements and company success. Awards were presented to members who received 100 percent in their BCS Service Quality Assessments (Audits and Mystery Tests) in 2020/2021 and to members for their long-term service within the network. Bosch was also proud to recognise 57 BCS workshops who have been with the Bosch Service Network for over 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 plus years. These members were congratulated and

recognised for their loyalty, contributions, and commitments to the network. A humble Ken Ringrose from United Fuel Injection from WA thanked Bosch for his 40-year service award in person on the night; and Tony’s Auto Electrics from Queensland, (whose team unfortunately could not attend the conference) was also acknowledged for its 50 years within the network. Bosch Automotive Aftermarket General Manager, Michael Werle, highlighted that the BCS conference and the AAAE were inspirational events, to be physically connected again with customers, partners, and associates as an industry. Overall, the week of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket networking events received a lot of attention and positive feedback from BCS members and AAAE visitors alike. Bosch says it looks forward to the next large scale networking opportunities which will occur in 2023 for the BCS network of worldclass workshops and the AAAE in 2024.
