Faith, Hope, & Love Facilitator Instructions: The words in italic are possible answers you are looking for as you lead the discussion. Give a number of people time to answer the questions before you try to answer the question. Also, always have group members look up the Scriptures in their Bibles while one group member reads. As you lead the discussion, be open to the Holy Spirit and what He is doing during the meeting. You may never get beyond one or two questions if they are provoking a great discussion. It may also be that someone in the group needs important ministry because of what the discussion opened in their heart. Take the time to allow the Holy Spirit to minister the person through your group members. Ice Breaker: What person in the Bible do you most closely identify with? Why? Bible Study Discussion: Faith, Hope and Love. 

When did you demonstrate your greatest faith? What were the results of this faith?

Facilitator: Share the following with your group. In 1 Corinthians 13 we find the apostle Paul speaking about the unperfected state that we as Christians find ourselves in while we wait for the time when we will see Jesus face to face. He is comparing our lives as to what they are now and what they shall be like at the return of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. He mentions several things that we now have in part of which are needed until we see Jesus face to face; and then he gives three essential ingredients that are needed in our lives right now; faith, hope and love. 1 Corinthians 13:12-13 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Many of the things that we now find essential for our Christianity and spiritual walk in this life will not be necessary when we live and reign with Jesus forever. Love is the one thing that will remain constant. It will be a part of our lives now and throughout eternity. Faith, hope and love are the three major essentials to the Christian life of which are necessary to keep us on course so that we do not shipwreck before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.  

What do you depend on most in your walk with the Lord? Faith, hope or Love? How do you see these three elements keeping you on track with your walk with the Lord? 65
