David Welle Language Assistance Program Manager Courts & Ministerial Judiciary of Guam
David Welle graduated Class of 2004 from Xavier High School in Chuuk and went on to earn his AA degree in Micronesian Studies from the College of Micronesia (COM) in Pohnpei (2004 -2006). He went back to be a teacher at Moen Junior High School in Chuuk and was Chairperson of the Math and Science Department (2006 - 2009). While teaching, he also enrolled and completed a Certificate of Trial Counseling from the College of Micronesia/FSM Supreme Court (2008 – 2009). After teaching, he moved to Guam to further his education at the University of Guam and earned a Bachelor in Criminal Justice (2010 - 2012) and a Master’s in Public Administration (2013 – 2015). While taking classes at UOG, he was also assisting the Judiciary of Guam with their language needs. His performance as a contract court interpreter was above satisfactory and enough to gain him a full time position there. He worked diligently and closely with his supervisors, learned and contributed to the development of the Language Program, and in time the management of the program was passed on to him. He is currently the Language Assistance Program Manager at the Judiciary of Guam.
