he 45 mm Automotive Model in Stainless Steel —A fusion of iconic style and high performance where form and function become one in the Ralph Lauren Automotive watch, and a play on the designer’s classic Bugatti 57SC Atlantic Coupe. The watch is truly sleek and stylish, can be viewed at Hamilton Jewelers on Worth Avenue. Featuring a manufacture movement RL98295 made by IWC for Ralph Lauren, the manual winding timepiece displays hours, minutes and seconds. It is water resistant to 50m and houses a sapphire crystal case back. Evoking the drama and spirit of the esteemed car, the Automotive watch’s wood dial echoes the dashboard of the Bugatti. A stainless steel link bracelet or black leather strap perfectly complements the masculine architecture of the case. The unique elm burlwood dial makes an immediate bold statement that imitates the feeling of classic grand touring cars.

T

he restaurant, Fuku (foo’koo - meaning good fortune, luck), is the latest addition to the Clematis Street dining scene. Since opening its doors just a few weeks ago, Fuku has been the talk around town. Fuku maybe just what Clematis Street needed, a slightly more sophisticated dining spot with a late night lounge option. Upon entering, you can’t help but notice the massive 13-foot-tall golden Buddha reigning over the restaurant. The 4,500 sq. foot space is long and narrow with a large-bar and open-themed dining room with dramatic design features. An entire wall features a traditional Japanese river rock waterfall, three-dimensional wooden panels accentuated with modern and traditional touches.

The restaurant owners include veteran restaurateur, Paul Ardaji, who brought two leading chefs to develop a menu that will offer diners a high-end dining experience at affordable prices; Sean Kaplan; and Food Network star, Josh Lyons. The cuisine is Asian fusion with some classics categorized as “Chinatown Traditions” such as Mongolian and Szechuan beef plus Fuku Signature dishes such as spiced angry lobster or the charred grilled Kobe strip steak. The intimate upstairs area features a mini-bar, a few tables set in a modern lounge-like setting with white leather seating, and a 500 gallon jellyfish aquarium. It’s the perfect space for small party or special event. Least we mention one of Fuku's owners includes local legendary DJ Adam Lipson, who can be found spinning from his custom-made booth on the second floor, when he is not helping out on the restaurant floor. -Review by Lucia Bonavita
