As always, it’s a pleasure bringing you a new edition of Avenida.
Through our commitment, we hope that you will find our Spring edition to be as informative and visually appealing as previous issues.
Our theme this time around focuses on gender/race in animation.
How have female and ethnic minorities been represented in the past decades? How are they being represented today? These are some of
the questions that are discussed by some our writers. In addition, we touch on different subjects from same-sex marriage in Latin America
to the conditions of temporary migrant workers in Ontario. It is important to be aware of the lived realities of our brothers and sisters on the local and international level. All of these issues affect us as citizens of the world.
Being part of the Latin American community in Toronto, one of the things we take pride in is our focus to unite youth and grow as an organization/magazine.
