FOCUS CHOICE SCHOOLS
THE EAST BATON ROUGE Parish School Sytem has slated new schools to adhere to specific fields for students. Focus Choice Schools will host specialized programs that give students more access to higher education learning. The school will be supported by Louisiana State University and Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Park Elementary School will be reestablished
as Park Elementary Medical Academy for K-8 students. Eva Legard Learning Center will be reimagined, too, for students in grades 6-12, and will focus on environmental education. It will be partnered with LSU and The Water Institute, a consortium that conducts research on coastal issues in Louisiana and other Gulf states. Graduates of Eva Legard will gain automatic admission to LSU.
