Dear Neighbors, This September marks our 55th issue of Blackhawk Living Magazine! We have learned a lot about our community over the past 55 months and have had a blast doing it! We have many more wonderful families to feature and stories to share. On behalf of our publisher, Jo Peek, our photographer, Kim Lind, myself and all of our talented contributors, we want to thank you for letting us share the stories of our community. We want to thank all of our sponsors for making Blackhawk Living Magazine possible. Every September my neighborhood throws an annual Labor Day Block Party. It’s where we get to know any new neighbors and catch up with everyone else. This block party tradition has been going on for over 27 years on my street. These kinds of community bonding activities are just another reason I cherish Blackhawk. This month also marks the conclusion of summer and back to a regular routine for many of us. Wishing all our Blackhawk students a great back to school experience and a happy Labor Day! Warmly,

Megan Scott Resident since 2010

Resident Feature

Meet Team Murphy By Megan Scott, Resident since 2010

C

arlene and Tony Murphy met in high school at the water fountain when they were 16 years old in Lufkin, Texas. Carlene was new in town and says she heard Tony was the big man on campus. “I saw him at the water fountain and introduced myself and asked him if he would show me around. We have been showing each other around ever since!” Tony signed with the Cincinnati Reds right out of high school, which was an honor as he was able to help his family buy a new home. Carlene and Tony each married the love of their life at 19 years old and have been on an adventure together ever since. The early years of the marriage were filled with baseball, school and babies. They moved back to Lufkin where Tony became National Sales Manager for a major building material manufacturer. “After several visits to our California cousins we decided Danville was where we wanted to raise our family. We loaded up a U-Haul and the Texas hillbillies came to California.” Tony went to work in the financial services business and Carlene started building houses in Blackhawk. “My white Mediterranean style home became very popular. We have been blessed to be successful in both areas.” The Murphys are a very close family and proud of all their children and grandchildren. They get together often for celebrations and

a special family trip every year! This year is the Bahamas and Key West! Carlene and Tony agreed that no article would be complete without introducing their family. Their son Mark Murphy owns a Farmer’s Insurance Agency in the Blackhawk Office Park. “I am the proud Dad of two smart and beautiful daughters Madison and Morgan. I live in Blackhawk and have been a member of the club for the past six years and I enjoy many of the club activities, especially golf! My Dad and I were fortunate to win the Master’s Golf tournament a few years back!” Madison Murphy, 19, will be a sophomore this year at San Diego State University. Home for the summer, she works at Melos Pizza, babysitting and as a temp for her mom’s company! “One job just isn’t enough! Can’t wait for our trip this year. It’s on my bucket list!” says Madison. Morgan Murphy, 17, will be a senior at Monte Vista High School and hopes to attend San Diego State University with her sister when she graduates. Morgan works for Green Valley Pool, babysits her cousins and also coaches little kids soccer. “As you can see my family expects a three job minimum!” The other half of Team Murphy is Team Foster: Sam, Melanie, Sammy and Jesse. Sam is a building contractor and develops multi-family and custom home projects

around the Bay Area. Melanie is a Financial Advisor and partners with her dad, which she loves because they get to spend so much time together. Sammy, 13, will be in 8th grade at Charlotte Wood Middle School. He is a counselor in training with the Town of Danville summer camps. He loves soccer, biking, online gaming and actually built his own computer with his dad. Jesse, 11, will be joining his brother at Charlotte Wood Middle School as a 6th SEPTEMBER 2019

Carlene started a Texas Hold ‘Em poker group called the “Poker Babes” 15 years ago. “We play a cash tournament with professional dealers (our husbands) every month. It is an eclectic group of women who have become great friends.”

grader. He loves sports and almost always has a ball of some sorts in his hands. Basketball, soccer, rugby and skateboarding are some of his favorites. Melanie and Sam were married at Blackhawk Country Club in August of 2003. “What an amazing, beautiful venue and celebration that Mom and Dad put together for us. I

think they had to finally kick us out and tell us the party was over.” They live in Greenbrook and are fortunate to have family and friends so close by. The Foster family loves camping in their RV. One of their favorite spots is Sea Cliff State Beach in Aptos where spending time on the beach is only an hour and a half away.

Tony and Carlene have been members at Blackhawk for over 30 years. “We are golfers and love having the opportunity to play on these two beautiful courses. We both have served on club and golf committees including the Men’s and Women’s Classics, Master Golf Tournament and the BWGA. This is a beautiful community with so many amenities and activities. We have met so many great people that we are honored to now call our friends. To those of you who are new to Blackhawk, welcome! You are going to love it! We wouldn’t want to live any place else!”

Sorting Out Controversies in Orthodontic Treatment By Richard Anthony, DDS MS, Blackhawk Orthodontics

I

often hear from prospective orthodontic patients that have visited several offices that they have received a different treatment plan from each practitioner to correct the same orthodontic problem. They also often ask, “Why is that?” My response is that the corrective course of orthodontic therapy to an optimal treatment goal is akin to taking a journey to a particular destination; and that there may often be more than one effective route to go from one given place to that same destination. So how is a potential patient seeking orthodontic treatment supposed to figure out what advice—or philosophy—is the best treatment plan to pursue for themselves or their child? And particularly now, with access to all kinds of information on the internet search engines, the sorting-out of the myriad of treatment philosophies in modern orthodontic care has risen the sense of confusion to the layperson to a whole new level. The most common examples of competing orthodontic philosophies are: early extraction of teeth versus jaw development with no extractions; the use of headgear at night versus functional appliance wear without headgear; twophase early treatment (before the loss of all the baby teeth) versus one-phase treatment (after all the permanent teeth erupt); and traditional braces versus using the new Invisalign system. Some of the above mentioned treatment alternatives have been controversial in the orthodontic research literature for over fifty years! Which of these alternative treatment philosophies are the best choices? The answer is not cut and dry. Some topics in orthodontics are fairly well agreed upon by most researchers and practitioners. However, some issues are less universally agreed upon. So, just like the journey to a given destination, there may be more that one way to effectively treat some orthodontic problems. For example, taking the freeway may usually be the fastest route to a particular town; however, if there is an accident or it happens to be during rush hour traffic with a big delay, taking a back road may be the best solution in this case. My advice is to discuss these issues that apply to your situation with your perspective orthodontist in order to make a truly informed decision and agree to a common-sense treatment plan that is best for you or your child.

Fall is in the Air By Linda H Kralik, BHHS Drysdale Properties Blackhawk Resident since 1984

Y

es, it seems like summer just began, but Fall is in the air. The days are shorter, the evenings are cooler and breezier, the kids are definitely back in school and even some of the trees are showing signs of fall colors. Not in full bloom, but you can feel it. So, what can you do? Well, there is plenty to do in preparing your home for the onslaught of winter and here are a few tips you can follow. 1. HVAC System This system runs your furnace and air conditioning systems for your home. You have used the air conditioning throughout the summer, but now you need to make sure the heating system is serviced for keeping the hearth and home warm. If you do not have a regularly scheduled service (every 6 months is optimum), contact a reputable firm and have them come out and do a system check on your furnace. This might also be a great time to have your ducting cleaned in preparation for winter. 2. Eaves, Gutters and Valleys Contact a roofing company, maybe the one who installed the roof, and ask them to do a roof evaluation checking for worn tiles or older shakes that might cause a leak during a storm. Have them clear all of the valleys and roof hips of debris collected during the summer and also do a cleanout of the rain gutters and downspouts. Fall leaves will add additional burdens to your system unless older debris is cleared away. 3. Windows and Doors Take a look around the house, inspecting all exterior doors and windows for broken air seals where heat might escape and cool air intrude. Caulk the windows, as needed, to provide an airtight seal and add additional weather-stripping to doors to ensure adequate closure. 4. Chimney and Fireplaces Contact a reputable Chimney Sweep and have them come and do a full chimney clean-out, checking for any cracks or leaks in the chimney flue or masonry box. Even if you only have a gas fireplace you still need to keep the flue cleaned and free of leaks. Also ensure the gas lighter is working properly. Those are my tips for preparing your home for the Fall and Winter. If you cannot find reputable contractors for the areas of concern that I have suggested, I am happy to give you a list of those vendors that I use for my business, my clients and my own home. They have been around for a long time and are tried and true to their work. They may not be the least expensive, but their work speaks for itself. Good Luck and Happy September. LK

Baked Salmon with Asparagus By Parisa Z. Ambwani, Resident since 1983 Serves 4 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a small rectangular ovenproof Pyrex dish • • • • • • • • • • • •

2 pounds wild (king) salmon fillets ½ cup plain strained yogurt 1 teaspoon curry powder 1 dash saffron (optimal) ¼ teaspoon sea salt OR to taste 1 dash black pepper, freshly ground 1 white onion, chopped 6 cloves garlic, chopped ¼ cup olive oil 1-pound asparagus spears 4 cups Basmati rice, cooked Garnish: 1 thinly sliced lemon

Place the salmon in a flat dish. Mix next five ingredients (yogurt, curry powder, saffron, salt and black pepper.) Pour yogurt-curry mixture over the salmon to marinate, cover and refrigerate for 4 hours prior to cooking. Remove salmon from refrigerator, allow it to come to room temperature and bake in the oven for 5 minutes to partially cook. In meantime, sauté onions and garlic in heated olive oil until golden brown, set aside and keep warm. Arrange asparagus at the bottom of a Pyrex dish, place partially cooked salmon on top of asparagus. Cover tightly with heavy aluminum foil and continue to bake for another 6-8 minutes or until done. The salmon is cooked when it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. On a warm serving plate, place rice first, asparagus second and finally salmon. Cover salmon with onions-garlic. Garnish with sliced lemon.

Stress-Free Goal Setting By Joe Morgan, CFP®, CFA, Principal: JWM Wealth Management, LLC

S

ometimes, when thinking about what we want to achieve in life, we get overwhelmed with the fear that we won’t or can’t do “enough.” However, the point of setting goals isn’t to stretch yourself beyond your capabilities or comfort zone. It’s simply to lay out the things you want in life, so you consider a plan to get them. When having these conversations with clients, we try to maintain a positive attitude while keeping our goals in reachable distance. Some of the ways we do this are to: Set goals that are meaningful to you. Drop any notions of what other people want or expect of you and think only about what will make you feel happy and fulfilled. Often, spouses have separate and combined goals. That’s ok! Imagine the end result. Sit with the goal in mind, silently, and imagine how it will feel to accomplish your goal. Come back to this feeling from time to time, especially when facing tough decisions that will affect your progress.

Identify anything that must change in order to achieve your goals. It is important to do this as you are initially setting your goal. We want our goals to be realistic and achievable. It’s important they bring a congruency to your life as opposed to conflict. With this approach, we are almost building the path to goal achievement as we construct our goals. JWM Wealth Management, LLC is a Registered Investment Advisor with the State of California and Joe Morgan is a fiduciary to his clients at all times. JOHN JAMES

“Enchantment Redefined From John James Designs” John James is a native Californian who grew up in a family of artists. His mother was a concert pianist and his father a successful landscape architect. In the early hours of the morning, John would find his father at the drafting table and together they would talk for hours about beautiful things. At the family nursery, John would run around with his clippers, creating wildflower arrangements for his childhood home. John James studied Communications & Languages at Pepperdine University, a glorious place in the mountains of Malibu. When not practicing the piano, or studying French & German, he was hanging out until the wee hours of the morning with actors, musicians and other creatives in Los Angeles. Drawn by the astonishing beauty of the Bay Area, John headed north to San Francisco and landed a rewarding job working with Stanlee Gatti. John quickly became lead designer, overseeing events for San Francisco glitterati. After two years John struck out on his own, and in 1997 John James Designs was born!

John James has established himself as a master at making things beautiful. He will be sharing his art of making beautiful floral arrangements with Bloomers.

The Tri-Valley Animal Rescue E

stablished in 1992, Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) is a 501(c)3 that helps save over a 1,000 animals a year in the Tri-Valley and surrounding areas. TVAR cooperates with area shelters and rescue groups, primarily the East County Animal Shelter, to provide homeless animals with socialization, foster homes, medical care and an opportunity for a second chance. 3 of those animals that TVAR is providing a second chance for are Bennie, Jet and Tiny Dancer. These sweet kittens are looking for their forever homes and all are affectionate and loving but each with its own personality. (See TVAR.org for more details). All three have tested positive for FIV, but there is a big chance they are not actually FIV positive. Many kittens can get a “false positive reading when they are tested at such a young age. Once they are 6 months, TVAR will perform a definitive test at our expense. Should these kitties in fact test positive for FIV, many FIV positive cats live long happy lives, and require very little special care. Please go to FIVCATRESCUE.ORG for more information about FIV cats.

Wine, Food, Golf & Fun

St. Francis Wine And Food Pairing By Mike L. McColgan, Resident since 1990

I

n our quest to dine at all 3000 San Francisco restaurants (800 and counting) and to visit all 600 Napa Wineries (350 and counting), my wife Linda and I recently traveled to St. Francis Winery near enchanting downtown Sonoma. From our home in Danville, it is about a 90 minute drive. . Having been to many fine dining experiences all over the world, we would highly recommend this unique experience. The wines are fantastic and wine club members enjoy access to exclusive parties and wine club discounts. In addition, on your tenth anniversary of being a wine club member, you receive a vine in their vineyard with your name on it. The St. Francis wine and food pairing has been voted number one in America by Open Table Diners in 2013 and 2015. We were not disappointed as Chef Bryan Jones prepared a wine and food pairing that can be described as “Simply The Best.” They offer this exceptional foodie experience Thursday thru Monday at 11, 1 and 3. Reservations are required and the cost is 68 dollars for non wine club members. It is less if you are a member. The pairing is limited to 16 people and the fun begins with the ringing of the large church bell on top of the winery that resonates throughout the vineyard. A knowledgeable wine host leads you into a beautiful and spacious room overlooking the scenic and serene property. You are seated at an elegantly appointed circular table with the menu, tasting notes and wines that will be paired for this unique experience. The menu changes every six weeks and chef Bryan’s passion for excellence is perfectly presented in each of his creations. Our favorite tasting was the King Salmon topped with bacon jam. When paired with the Chardonnay the flavors exploded in your mouth. The menu and wines for our tasting consisted of the following:

Compressed Persimmon & Grilled Asian Pear Red Endive and Wild Arugula | Pomegranate | Toasted Hazelnuts Honey Goat Cheese | Cardamom-Moscatel Vinaigrette 2015 Wine Wine, Estate Cuvée Blanc, Sonoma Valley Pan Seared King Salmon Blistered Sweet 100s | Corn Pudding | Bacon Marmalade 2014 Chardonnay, Wild Oak Vineyard, Sonoma Valley Roasted Tomato Braised Pork Collar Ricotta Gnocchi | Long Cooked Romano Beans | Pine Nut Relish 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lagomarsino Vineyard, Russian River Valley Applewood Smoked Duck Breast Rogan Josh Spiced Beluga Lentils | Honey-Ginger Eggplant Pickled Antohi Peppers 2013 Artisan Collection Zinfandel, Sonoma County Chocolate Pudding Cake Chocolate Florentine Cookie | Blu del Moncenisio Candied Pecans 2014 Port, Sonoma County We especially enjoyed the 95 point rated Cabernet Sauvignon and the 750ml size of port that was smooth and loaded with power at 21.5% alcohol. We took home a bottle of each. For further information and to make a reservation, go to: http://www.stfranciswinery.com/ culinary/wine-food-pairing/ BLACKHAWK LIVING 25

Community Safety

Thinking about Earthquakes, Wildfires, and Other Things By Aaron “Wally” Barger, Resident since 2012

L

iving in Blackhawk is considered to be an ideal place to reside, however, we recognize the potential dangers nature can throw our way. Most recently, the prospect of a major earthquake has caused many families to seek additional earthquake insurance, which is a prudent decision. Of course, another precaution is to prepare an emergency family pack for quick exit of your home. The fire department offers a number of valuable suggestions regarding what you should have available for either a short, three day, stay in your home after an earthquake as well as a long stay pack of essential items for an absence from your home over more than a few days. Being prepared with medical first aid supplies, medications that are taken daily, and other items such as food, water, and toilet paper at a minimum are important. Also, do not forget to have pet food, medication, and first aid supplies for your animals, as well. Wildfires are another, potential, danger we all need to be prepared for, to quickly exit our homes in an emergency. Having a plan of action and an emergency response kit similar to the type described above are essential first steps. If you need additional information regarding fire or earthquake preparedness, contact the San Ramon Regional Fire Department at 925-838-6300. They have an extensive array of training material, safety products, and advice on services available for our use and protection.

A new state law, effective July 1, 2019, is that automatic garage door openers include backup batteries. This law requires that automatic garage door openers sold or installed in a residence have a battery backup function designed to operate when activated because of an electrical outage. In case of an earthquake or a fire, the likelihood of a power outage can prove devastating. This is, especially, true if you are trying to manually open your garage door. You may want to contact your garage door repairman or service company to enhance your existing system to comply with the new law. Public safety is an integral part of the coordinated roles offered by our Blackhawk Police Department and the San Ramon Regional Fire Department. As residents we, too, play a role by staying attuned to the training, services, and educational programs offered by the local police and fire departments. If you have any question concerning this article or the Neighborhood Watch Program, you can contact me at aaron. barger@yahoo.com or you can contact the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Crime Prevention Unit, to schedule an orientation meeting. Ask for Christina Lind-Winters at 925-313-2682.

Now Is the Time to Prepare Your Pool for the Summer Months By Jon Lubrano, President, Atlantis Pools Inc

W

inter can be the best time of year to prepare your pool for use over the summer. Contrary to popular belief, springtime isn’t the best time when it comes to remodeling, building your pool or addressing any issues your pool may have. Pool owners may have the best pool construction or remodel experience this time of year. By the time spring arrives, there is usually a long line of pool owners wanting to make enhancements or repairs to their pools, so why not get the process going now to ensure it can be completed in a smooth and timely manner and you get the best customer service possible?

The leaves are falling off the trees, our pools are chilly and swimming may be the last thing on your mind, but now is the time to start thinking about your summer pool desires. As one can imagine, the pool construction and maintenance industry isn’t nearly as busy during the colder months than during the spring and summer. By arranging to have your pool built or remodeled in the winter, you’re allowing yourself access to the best pool builders and craftsmen who will be able to have it completed faster than during the spring due to their availability. For optimal pool performance by the time the warm weather arrives, allow plenty of time for your pool service to prepare for any events you have planned. I recommend at least a weeks notice before a party to thoroughly go over your pool system, check lights, drains and safety issues. At Atlantis, this service is always complementary for our customers. Atlantis Pools offers a free consultation on all your pool needs, including remodel projects. Please call us at (925) 736-0447, email info@atlantispoolsdanville.com or visit us online at www. atlantispoolsdanville.com to schedule an inspection.

Golf Destinations

Gamble Sands, Washington State By Chuck Fox, Owner, Quintessential Golf, Resident since 2012

G

amble Sands is a pure links course by David McLay-Kidd with hard & fast fairways and large tour-quality greens.

“You have got to play Gamble Sands. It’s one of the greatest courses I’ve played in years,” said a new subscriber. Gaining international fame with the design of the first links course at Bandon Dunes in 1999, David McLay-Kidd gained a reputation of building difficult golf courses. But Gamble Sands is an example of his new appreciation for designing great links courses that are challenging yet fun for all levels of golfers. Built by the Gebbers family, the owners of the largest cherry producer and the 2nd largest apple producer in the world, it opened in 2014. With sweeping views of the Columbia River, near the Grand Coulee Dam, Gamble Sands serves the serious golfer with a no-nonsense approach. A simple clubhouse disguises the upscale grill room and bar. The Inn at Gamble Sands offers thirty-eight 2-4 bedroom comfortable units. Here they believe the highest quality links golf experience embraces knowledgeable caddies as guides and sports psychologists. Ask for Bobby Zimny, “Z”, the unofficial ambassador and former caddie on five different professional tours for thirty years. These caddies elevate the Gamble Sands experience. With or without a caddie, it’s designed for walking, a nod to the links heritage. Golf Magazine ranks them the #2 public course in the state of Washington, behind Chambers Bay, site of the 2015 U.S. Open. They incorporate links-style fine fescue grass. Hard fairways allow shots to run along the ground making additional shot opportunities. Hire a caddie as target lines and distances are difficult for the firsttimer. There is no cart GPS. The hardy fescue allows carts anywhere except the greens. There are no built-up teeing areas. Tees can be anywhere in the closely mown fescue providing flexibility to set up the course. The architects’ favorite hole is No. 2, stretching 301 yards from the back tees and 261 yards from the middle tees. A low drive just left of the fairway bunker is likely to end up on the green or in a green-side bunker. The approach shot at the long Par 4 Hole #5 is illustrative of a common risk/reward dilemma – how much of a fairway bunker or barranca to cut off. All sand is natural. They moved minimal earth. Bunkers are enormous and lined with tall wispy fescue. All bunkers are waste bunkers, the primary defense of the course. The ideal tee shot direction may differ from expected. “When you get to Hole #6, hit it thirty yards right,” said Booby “Z”. Sure enough, our tee shot caromed off the slope and finished fifteen feet from the hole. The center of the large greens is not always a precursor to a two-putt as the undulations, and otherwise subtle breaks can befuddle the best putter.

A simple clubhouse, with expansive views of the Cascades and the Columbia River Valley

Hard and fast fescue fairways with multiple target lines depending on golfer skill, large waste bunkers key target areas, undulating greens with multiple approach options, wide open holes exposed to the elements, and tall wispy grass/bushes off-the-path combine for a true links experience at this top-rated course. It’s a terrific golf destination experience.

Gamble Sands - Drivable par 4 Hole two

If You Go: Course Info Gamble Sands (www. gamblesands.com) is an eighteen-hole links course by the renowned Scottish architect David McLay-Kidd. Fees - Peak greens fees are $140-170 while seasonal rates are as low as $75. Tour-level caddies are encouraged at $100/bag. Yardages - Five sets of tees from 4797 to 7305 yards (74.8/129) Clubhouse - A simple clubhouse with an upscale grill room and bar. Location - Columbia River Valley in Brewster, Washington. Four hours east of Seattle airport, two hours west of Spokane airport, and one hour west of Grand Coulee Dam. Lodging - The Inn at Gamble Sands comprises thirty eight 2-4 bedroom units. The nearest town is Chelan, forty-five minutes southwest toward Seattle

The Art of the Stack By Steve Padis, Steve Padis Jewelry

A

s the fall season approaches, stackable rings are still one of the hottest trends and we just love it! Whether you’re going on a date, heading to work or a meeting, maybe even a girls’ night out, there is a stackable ring style that is appropriate for every occasion. Padis Jewelry carries a variety of stackable rings, from simple to ornate, and we encourage experimentation with mixing and matching them with other stackable rings in your jewelry collection.

Don’t leave your thumb or pinky bare: You can’t leave them bare. If not on both, as they may start to get in the way, you must choose between your thumb or pinky finger to complete the overall look. This will add a little more interest to the design you have set.

Here’s what you need to know to help you create your own personalized stack:

How many are too many? We get asked this question a lot, and our philosophy is simple: the more bands, the better! With so many occasions to celebrate (new babies, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.), the perfect stack grows with you.

Begin with your favorite piece: It could most definitely be your diamond engagement ring, a most frequently worn ring, a family heirloom, or anything else that is close to your heart. It deserves to find the most important spot. No matter how big or small, it needs to stand out, which takes us to the next point, balance. Aim for balance: It doesn’t matter if half of your ring stack involves gold or silver or white-rose colored bands, the key is to aim for a balance so that every piece looks like it was meant to be there and stacked strategically. If mix and match is not your style, you can always opt for a more polished look by going with a single color scheme. The only thing you will have to take care of is to ensure that a proportion is being maintained and not all thick or sleek pieces are stacked together.

Ready to rock this style? Come visit us and try a variety of rings on! Our non-commissioned jewelry experts are ready to guide you to the perfect choice. Get started by scheduling a visit to the Padis Jewelry showroom in San Francisco or our brand new Forevermark Boutique in Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza. Feel free to contact us at concierge@padisjewelry.com. Be forewarned that once you start stacking, you’ll be hooked for life!

Mix & Match: Building different stacked looks is a perfect way to let your individuality shine. But sometimes, figuring out what ring goes with what can be stressful. Start simple and don’t be afraid to experiment. Try pairing a simple band with an east-west ring. Or, wear a bold chunky ring next to a delicate diamond eternity band. Throw in some larger statement rings. You get to make your own rules. Pops of Color: Bring on the color! Rose, yellow, and white gold or platinum metals can play beautifully with each other. Wear one band style in multiple metal colors or create a little contrast by wearing rings from different designers and collections. You could even add a colored gemstone ring into your favorite stack with birthstones to represent children or special occasions. The combinations you can create are endless! 34
