Both Milam and Replica youth centers are up and running with programming for the 2022-2023 school year! Like most MWR programs, the two centers were operating under limited programming for the past two years. One of the new programs was started at Milam Youth Center (MYC). The MYC has been partnering with the Junior Enlisted Family Center since February 2022 to provide a food pantry annex Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. at MYC, located at 10960 Haan Road, to service the Fort Bliss community. Teens can earn volunteer hours by assisting with the food pantry. Families in need can stop by MYC during that time and receive free bags of food, to include baby formula. All a family needs to do is sign in for accountability purposes to keep track of the food being given out. The family names will not be provided to any other parties such as Soldier’s chain of command, taxes etc. The main food pantry is open Tuesdays and Fridays at the Junior Enlisted Family Center Fort Bliss, located at 2004 Sheridan Road and Wednesdays at the Armed

Service YMCA El Paso, located at 7060 Comington Street. Families in need are welcome to come weekly to any or all food pantries. Do you have a teen in your household who is interested in getting involved? Fort Bliss has two state of the art Youth Centers, one on West Bliss- Replica Youth Center (RYC), and one on East Bliss- MYC. The Youth Centers are open to DoD ID cardholder students in grades 6-12 and it is completely free to attend them after-school! The folks at the youth centers handle after-school pickup, snacks, a place to do homework, recreation activities and a lot more! The After-School Program is free and includes pickup from specific schools. There are a variety of camps happening through the year, each one has an applicable cost, sometimes it is based on household income. There are field trips with flat fees ranging from $5 and up depending on activity. Students need to be registered through the CYS Parent Central office in order for them to be able to use these awesome centers. To verify registration, call 915-5685501/4374.
