Dear Alumni, Families and Friends, On behalf of our students, faculty and staff, I want to extend my most sincere gratitude for your considerable investment in Boys’ Latin during the 2019-2020 school year. Needless to say, it was a year of uncertainty filled with many challenges, but once again, you came through with more than 1,280 gifts to the School -- representing $3.5M in total support. Our community’s exceptional generosity allowed us to balance the School’s budget with a minimum draw from the endowment. Most important, it allowed us to continue to advance our mission, instilling the values of courage, integrity and compassion in each boy, which during these troubling times is more important than ever. Highlights of the giving year include: • • • • •
A record of $1,258,248 in unrestricted giving to The Laker Fund A record total of $1,881,850 in unrestricted and restricted gifts made to The Laker Fund $1.6M in capital and endowment gifts A 22% increase in total giving (includes capital and endowment gifts) over last year A 27% participation rate among alumni --- the highest of all Baltimore schools
