PRESIDENT'S REMARK

ayan rahman Hey everyone! Happy June, we finally made it! It's been a long and treacherous road, but we've finally made it to summer; otherwise known as the best time for key club! That's right, the Key Club grind never stops, so we continue doing the amazing work we do even in the summer. Look out for fun events and fundraisers that we will continue to send out. This summer, we're going to be hosting many events to raise awareness and funds for things like mental health awareness and disabilities. It will most certainly be a really meaningful journey that we will embark on as soon as school's out. Be sure to remember Key Club over the summer and check some events out. Your service changes the world, whether you believe it or not, so it is our

9

request that you fall in love with service again, with us this summer. We've also accomplished a ton this past month. We've done everything, ranging from interclubs to induction to hours and hours of communityservice. It is an understatement to say that I am proud of us. Let's keep going and make that sweet change that we always make. We're forging a path to greatness all together, don't stray away from it! Be sure to read my new update emails and watch the member rep update videos. They're super informative and should keep you all engaged. I hope to see you all soon at an event, but until then, happy key Clubbing! Yours in Care and Service, Ayan Rahman BTHS Key Club President 2019-20 BTHS Class of 2020

Hey everyone! The school year is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean our key club events will start. I am currently planning interclub events as well as our own Tech Key Club events for the summer! The fun never stops! I hope some of you are around to attend. If you have any ideas for fun summer fundraising places and events then please email me at aisakov5264@bths.edu. I look forward to hearing your ideas! Yours in Care and Service, Abigail Isakov Brooklyn Tech Key Club Treasurer 2019-2020

introducing Hey Key Clubbers! My name is Simrun Kothari and I will be your co-secretary for the 2019-2020 service year. I will be the person who keeps track of all of your points and service hours. This month we will be focusing on mental health awareness. We will be donating the proceeds made from the Key Club Dance to Project Semicolon, a nonprofit mental health organization. The next school year, I plan on proposing and hopefully hosting a women rights month in March where the proceeds from fundraisers will be donated to different women rights focused charities and non-profits such as the Malala Fund.

I also plan on hosting workshops to teach project captains on how to create their own spreadsheets to take attendance. This would allow for a much more efficient process of keeping track of points and hours as spreadsheets are a much for organized method in comparison to paper attendance. Good luck on your regents! Sincerely, Simrun Kothari ‘21 P.S. If you see a mistake in your points or service hours, contact me! sec.thetechkey@gmail.com
