I KNOW THAT WE ARE ALL FEELING THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE

coronavirus, even if we’ve been lucky enough to have been spared the direct health consequences. Over the last few weeks many businesses have decided to, or been advised to, close their doors until this public health crisis is resolved. The Byron Bazaar has always been a place to get your weekly dose of good news; to find out what’s going on, in and around town; to share with a mate over coffee; to read when you’re on a break. This crisis doesn’t change that – in fact it makes it all the more important! But how we get the magazine to you will change to meet the current health circumstances. We plan to keep the production wheels turning, with a new issue each and every Thursday – but it will only be available digitally. • • • • • •

Gisela will keep us up to date with our weekly Tarotscopes; Keenwa will keep us entertained with her sage advice; Well Read and Ear Candy will keep our book and music recommendations coming in; Tagged in Town will go on highlighting the gloriousness of the Byron shire; Around Town will keep us all up to date with what is still going on and who might be dropping in for a Q&A And importantly, for those many businesses who remain open for business, we want to give them a forum to keep talking to all of you.

The digital version of the Byron Bazaar is a convenient way for you to get your copy each week. Read it online at www.byronbazaar.com, where you can also subscribe for your free copy, delivered to your e-mailbox every Thursday morning. We will be back to printing and distributing the “old fashioned way” as soon as we can. Hang on. Hang in. Keep reading. Stay chilled. Tony and all the team Byron Bazaar

This week's recommendation

ALBUM TITLE: Juveniles ARTIST: Kingswood RELEASED: March 2020 GENRE: Rock BIO: Melbourne's 4-piece Kingswood has been rocking

Australia for 8 years or so. All 4 contribute to the vocals with Fergus Linacre leading the line.

WHAT TO EXPECT: A classic rock sound of swirling guitars and hooks, harmonious vocals and tight rhythms. WHAT WE LIKE: Do you want new rock music and to have a good time? Yes, this is for you as Kingswood delivers a dozen feel-good songs that vary enough to keep you entertained without going down too many roads less travelled. The opening track You Make it So Easy kicks it off with a rousing gritty call to tap some part of your body and rock your head in time. Smoking went out of fashion with dial-up Internet but Kingswood "still miss smoking cigarettes in bed" as heard on Cigarettes in Bed. On the final third, a more melodic 80’s power ballad style appears on Marilyn, One More Dance & Candy Blue before the well placed outro Young, Charming & Funny. Juveniles will fit into your vintage collection of Led Zeppelin and Ramones inspired rock tee shirts, but you'll probably actually listen to Kingswood. And whilst it might not be a future vintage tee design it remains the freshest classic rock around. The Rolling Stones sang "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)" and that’s exactly how I feel about Juveniles.

STANDOUT TRACKS: Say You Remember, Snake Pit, Marilyn. PERFECT FOR: Rockin' the pub. Turning it up loud. LISTEN IN IF YOU LIKE: Gang of Youths, Sticky Fingers, Queen, Wolfmother.
