Designed for connecting detectors, sensors, keypads and control panels, Alarm cables are the “bread and butter” of the security industry. Due to the unregulated nature of the cables coming onto the market a new standard has been introduced. BS 4737-3.30 2015 sets out the construction of the cables and the maximum resistance of the conductors. The Tru range of unscreened alarm cables are manufactured with a rip cord for easy stripping, available in PVC, Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) or a black PE sheathed duct grade version. Packed on 100m, 200m, and 500m reels. CONSTRUCTION Type 2 PVC: Tinned copper wire strands, PVC/LSF insulation, rip cord, PVC/LSF sheath Type 1 LSHF: Tinned copper wire strands, LSHF insulation, rip cord, LSHF sheath Type 2 Duct: Tinned copper wire strands, PVC insulation, rip cord, PVC inner sheath, black LDPE outer sheath
