It was around five in the afternoon when Christopher, Norevic’s husband, was on his way home after a long days work. While staring blankly at the distance, Christopher thought that their life has never been easy having no stable income being a farmer. better quality, once their 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) allowance becomes available. Christopher and Norevic, together with their four beautiful children have been beneficiaries of the 4Ps of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for almost six years. Christopher freed a deep sigh pondering that they might have “Ginamos” again for supper. “Ginamos” a supposed side dish for other Filipino families

At around seven in the evening, Christopher and his younger brother decided to go home. Being completely sane, Christopher peered on the other side of the road and saw his neighbor who was completely drunk holding a bolo. Christopher remained at ease and continued walking. Never did he thought that this neighbor, whom he considered as his good friend, would do them harm. Without hesitation, his neighbor ran towards them and attacked Christopher and his brother with the wooden handle of the bolo. Both Christopher and his brother scrambled along the road to escape the deranged drunk, but due to having
