RYAN KONYNENBELT

LMAC’s 2019 Auctioneering Champion Ryan Konynenbelt is living his dream! From an early age he wanted to be an auctioneer, and also at very early age, he won the LMAC Championship in Thorsby, Alberta. When Konynenbelt entered his first competition in Winnipeg in 2015, he was self taught and pretty darn good for a kid just out of College. Konynenbelt challenged himself to get better after rubbing elbows with Canadian legends Danny Skeels, Ross Annett and other pros at Winnipeg. He attended auction school in Billings, Montana, polished his natural skill set and got more mic time. He was back in Brussels, and there were whispers that Ryan Konynenbelt had the tools to go all the way. The next year in Whitewood, after a third place finish, he was in the winner’s circle at the International Championship at the Calgary Stampede. That win got him a spot in the World Championships in Tulare, California. Fresh off the win in Thorsby, Konynenbelt was a top ten finalist at the worlds, living the dream, standing right beside the best in the world. In four short years, he had both a Canadian and International Champion buckle. If you know Ryan Konynenbelt, you know he is a mover and shaker, wanting to learn, willing to work, a man on a mission. The ownership group at Southern Alberta Livestock Exchange recognized his potential and made him a partner in the market. As well as auctioneering, Ryan is also a cattle and sheep buyer. Konynenbelt had this to say about coming to LMAC: “Being able to be in the LMAC Convention setting as a young guy starting out, with auctioneers who have been in it for years, gave me the incentive to keep coming back to learn and gain more experience. When you love your career and the business you are in, these conventions allow you to immerse im m yourself with like-minded professionals!” Witth all With a that t success so early in life, it would be easy for a young man to get an inflated ego, as many before him hhave! have e! Not Noot Ryan Konynenbelt. He remembers and respects his roots. He recognizes that none of the success he has would w wou uld ha have happened without the support of his family and friends. “My family, and my wife especially, have been very ve ery supportive over the years. Always coming to cheer me on, no matter where the competition is being held, and supporting me tthrough oug the hectic “busyness” of the livestock auctioneer life.” Ryan Konynenbelt Konynenbeltlt - a true tru cham ch champion! ampion!
