SMART BADGE FOR MEETING PLANNERS Event planners can confidently plan safe events in Canberra thanks to the cutting-edge Smart Badge technology. Developed in Australia and first trialled nationally at National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) in partnership with Canberra Convention Bureau, Smart Badge is a wearable technology designed to help in-person events return by instilling confidence in meeting planners and ensuring delegate safety, helping them control their personal space.

The device not only registers your delegates contact-free via QR code and maps their location within the set area of an event, it also allows for instant contact tracing capabilities, meaning meeting planners can rapidly respond in the event of a COVID-19 risk. Smart Badge can also assist in maintaining social distancing, by alerting wearers through a discrete vibration, flash or a beep when they are within 1.5 metres of one another. The Smart Badge technology is available free of charge to meeting planners with a confirmed event in Canberra.
