BUSES Transport Canberra’s bus network, now with a new electric bus fleet, connects you to all major routes within the city and offers a frequent and reliable service. Bus Route 3 connects you to the airport for the price of a standard single ticket. The Red Explorer Loop Bus offers a hop-on/hop-off service, departing from the city and taking passengers to Canberra’s major attractions.

Canberra’s light rail connects you from North Canberra to the CBD with a fast, frequent and comfortable journey along Northbourne Avenue. Construction of Stage 2 has commenced, initially extending to Commonwealth Park, and eventually connecting to South Canberra.
