13. Paint the template and clay again with white budget metallic paint to add an extra layer of shine! Allow to dry.

11. Begin working your next colour of clay (we have used green) and then roll it out flat. Use a skewer to cut out top and bottom eye lid shapes, then lay them over the glass eye as shown and press firmly into place. Layer a few more clay pieces to create dimension for the face.

10. Take some polymer clay (we have started with blue) and begin to work it in your hand until it’s nice and soft. Use a rolling pin to roll it out nice and flat so it’s approximately 2mm thick. Press the clay onto your template until it sticks and press your eye on top.

14. Use the dragon’s hair template pieces from page 8 to trace onto orange metallic pearl glitter paper. Cut out and glue to the top and edge of the dragon’s head. Allow to dry.

9. Use the dragon head template pieces from page 8 and glue onto green cardboard. Allow to dry then cut out using scissors.

12. Paint the clay and the template using a mixture of 2 parts light green, 1 part light blue and 1 part white budget metallic paint. Allow to dry.
