4 © CleverPatch 2021 - www.cleverpatch.com.au 9. Repeat steps 4-8 to make enough origami fortune cookies to fill the crate. We made 18 fortune cookies.
8. The fortune cookie will form once the paper folds in on itself. The tape will help keep the cookie in shape. Remove the paper backing from the double sided tape. Hold the fold together as shown, then gently push in the pinched fold created in step 4. Fold the circle in half on the opposite side and place a note inside. Place a 2cm piece of double sided tape perpendicular to this fold. Bend the origami paper circle in half with the coloured side facing out and gently pinch the centre to create a small fold. Write lovely notes for Dad on the rectangles from the template on page 9. Carefully cut each strip out.
7.
2. Cut the circle out of the cardboard. This template can now be used to trace circles onto your origami paper. Trace and cut out as many origami circles as you would like. Print out the templates on page 9. Cut out the square around the circle template. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Apply glue to the back of the template then stick it onto a piece of scrap cardboard. Allow to dry.

Fill the crate with your origami fortune cookies. 15. Your Origami Fortune Cookie Crate is now ready to gift to Dad! 12. Decorate your crate using vibrant acrylic paints! Allow to dry. 11. For permanent assembly, apply glue to each join. Allow to dry. 10. Scan the QR code for video instructions on how to assemble your crate.
Make Dad feel like the Rockstar he is! 6 © CleverPatch 2021 - www.cleverpatch.com.au 6. Apply glue to the base of your Dad figure where indicated and attach it to the back of the plate along your fold. Your rockin’ Dad Rocker is now complete and ready to gift! 5. Open the folded plate and glue the Happy Father’s Day template on the inside. Allow to dry. You can also decorate the inside if you wish. 4. Mountain fold a paper plate in half. Decorate one side of the plate then glue the Dad You Rock template from step 1 onto the front. Allow to dry. 3. Decorate the body template to reflect what your Dad would wear. We have used markers and stickers. Glue your Dad figure onto a piece of cardboard. Allow to dry. Cut out your Dad figure using scissors. 2. Print out a picture of your Dad’s face. We recommend it be around 25mm high. Cut around Dad’s face making sure you keep all of his features. Cut out the body template on page 10. Glue your Dad’s face onto the body template. Allow to dry. 1. Print out the template on page 10. Use markers to colour in the 2 semicircles then cut them out. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. 1. Start constructing your CleverKit™. Screw a hex nut onto the hex bolt all the way to the top. Measure and cut 2 x 20cm pieces of red yarn. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Tie the centre of one piece of yarn onto the hex bolt. 4. Screw the wing nut with split ring (wings up) onto the hex bolt until it reaches the cape. Screw on the next two hex nuts so that they are touching. Tie the centre of the remaining piece of red yarn onto the hex bolt. Screw on the last wing nut (wings down).
6. Position your man of steel on the front of the card and using a pencil mark out 4 dots, one above each arm next to the body and one above each leg next to the body. Puncture each of these marks with a blunt tip needle. Adult supervision is recommended.

5. On an A4 sheet of coloured cover paper, measure out a piece that is 95 x 138mm then cut it out. Apply glue to the back of this piece and attach it to the front of the card. Allow to dry.
8. Print and cut out our Father’s Day quote on page 10 and glue it to the front of your card. Allow to dry. Your Dad of Steel Card is now ready to write in and gift!
7. Place your man of steel back onto the card. Use the needle to thread one of the yarn strands from the top of your man through the corresponding puncture mark on your card. Repeat with the 3 other strands. Tie the top strands together on the inside of your card. Repeat with the bottom strands. Trim any excess yarn. Glue 2 wiggle eyes to the top hex bolt. Allow to dry.
2. To make the cape, measure and mark 5cm in from each side of the felt sheet corner. Using a lead pencil, join both marks to form a triangle. Cut along the drawn line.
3. Fold the triangle in half, then create a small cut at the top part of the fold. Thread the cape onto the hex bolt until it reaches the red yarn piece.
5. When attaching the row of looped yarn below the mouth area, do not use sticky tape as there will be nothing above to cover it. Carefully glue straight onto the felt instead.
3. Add a line of tacky glue along the bottom of the felt piece and press the sticky taped edge of the looped yarn row onto the glue.
2. Cut a 2m length of yarn and continuously loop it loosely around 2 fingers. Remove and spread out slightly, taping along the top to hold the row of loops together as shown.
7. Once completely dry, cut all of the looped ends of yarn. Use your fingers to fluff up the yarn and then trim the yarn beard as needed.
1. Hold a felt sheet under your nose and wrap it around the bottom half of your face. Use a permanent marker to trace over your jawline, marking it on the felt, then do the same with your mouth. Use these guides to cut out a ‘beard’ shape. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Cut small holes in each side of your felt as shown.

6. Continue to layer and glue rows of looped yarn until the felt piece is covered, making sure the final row along the top is glued in place without using tape. Allow to dry.
8. Finish the beard by tying a length of elastic to the holes created in Step 1. Try the beard on and adjust the elastic as needed. Wear your beard with Dad as you celebrate Father’s Day!
4. Create 2 more looped yarn rows and attach above the first row in the same way. The yarn should overlap slightly so it is covering the taped edge underneath.
