Mini Tassel Earrings
Materials:
• Embroidery Thread – Set of 10 Colours – 20175
• Pony Beads – Pastel – 300g Pack – 19688
• Shepherd Hooks – Pack of 20 – 11242
• Sewing Needles – Blunt Tip Pack of 25 – 11591
• Other materials required: Scissors, a fork and a ruler.
1. Cut 4 x 30cm lengths and 2 x 4m lengths of your chosen embroidery thread colour.
2. Hold a fork in your non-dominant hand and place one of the small lengths of thread horizontally along the top prong.
3. Hold the small thread with one hand and wrap the tail around the prongs to keep it out of the way. Take one long length of thread and align one end with the bottom of the fork. Tightly wrap the length around the fork and over the small thread.
4. Continue wrapping until you reach the end of the length. Slide the loops towards the end of the fork. Bring the two ends of the small length up and tie a knot.
5. Slide the thread off the fork and tie a second knot ensuring that it is tight to hold the loops together.
6. Carefully place your scissors inside all the loops. Cut the loops opposite the knot to create a tassel. Trim the lengths so they are all even. Pull any loose threads out.
7. Wrap another 30cm length of thread around the top of the tassel as shown. Tie a knot to secure. Wrap each end around the knot. Bring the ends together and tie a double knot to secure in place.

10. Bring the two ends together and thread onto a needle. Thread them through the loop in a shepherd hook.
11. Loop the lengths around to make a knot. Before you tighten the knot, ensure the shepherd hook is sitting on top of the bead. Pull the knot to tighten in place.
12. Thread the ends of the thread back through the bead. Tie a knot around the bottom of the bead to secure everything in place. Trim any excess thread.
13. Repeat steps 2-12 to create the second earring. Your Mini Tassel Earrings are now ready to gift for Mother’s Day!
Pastel Bead Macramé Bracelet
Materials:
• Macramé Cord – 2mm x 275m – 19344
• Pony Beads – Pastel – 300g Pack – 19688
• Other materials required: Scissors, a ruler and tape (optional).
1. Cut 2 x 60cm lengths of macramé cord and 1 x 80cm length. Loop the 80cm length down 10cm at one end. Tie a knot at the bottom of the loop and pull tight until the loop is about 2cm long.
2. Gather all the lengths so the tail end of the looped length and the end of the other two lengths are aligned. Tie a knot near the loop to join the lengths together. Trim the excess cord.
3. Lay the cords flat and separate the lengths. Bring the right strand over to the middle.
4. Bring the left strand over to the middle to complete the first braid row.
5. Continue braiding from right to left until you have braided 6cm of macramé cord. You may need to make the braided length shorter or longer depending on the size of your wrist.
6. Choose 3 different coloured beads. You will need 3 of each colour so you’ll have 9 beads in total. Plan your bead pattern by laying them out in a row.
7. Thread your first bead onto the right strand. Move the right strand over to the middle then push the bead up to the centre of the braid.
8. Use your index finger and thumb to hold the bead in place. With your other hand, bring the left strand over to the middle to secure the bead.

Marbled Clay Jewellery Dish
Materials:
• CleverPatch™ Polymer Clay
Assorted – Pack of 12 – 18796
• CleverPatch™ Acrylic Paint Tube – Gold 75ml – 16888
• CleverPatch™ Gloss Finish 240ml – 18797
• Porcelain Bowl – 13494
• Other materials required: Household oven, oven tray, baking paper, a rolling pin and a paint brush.
1. Gather 30g of clay in 2 or 3 colours. You can choose how much of each colour you would like. We chose 15g of white and 7.5g each of purple and blue clay. Warm each colour in your hands until they become soft and malleable.
2. Roll each colour into a long strip. Place the three strips together and twist to start blending the colours.
3. Fold the clay over multiple times, twisting and blending until you are happy with the marbled effect. Roll the clay into a ball and flatten with a rolling pin until it is approximately 7cm in diameter and 3mm thick.
5. Carefully remove the clay and push the sides up a little further. Place the clay onto a tray lined with baking paper and into an oven at 120°C for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
Mother’s Day Mug
Materials:
• Flared Porcelain Mug – 15165
• CleverPatch™ Glass & Porcelain Markers – Pack of 8 Colours – 13649
• Other materials required: Scissors, Blu-Tack or double sided tape, household oven and template (page 11).
1. Print out the template on page 11. We’ve printed on coloured copy paper so you can see the design. Cut out the template pieces you want to include on your mug.
2. Attach the template pieces onto your mug using double sided tape or Blu-Tack. Arrange the position how you like. You could even create your own template pieces!
3. Choose 3 coloured markers. Start with the lightest colour and apply lots of small dots around the template shapes onto the mug. You may need to lay the mug down so the ink doesn’t drip.
4. Space the dots out slightly as you move away from the template shapes so it looks like the colour fades out.
5. Add the next colour, overlapping some of the first, using the same dotting method. Apply less dots so you can still see the colour underneath.
6. Add the third colour to fill in any white spaces. Remember to apply the dots closer together near the template. Use less dots as you fade outwards. Allow to dry.
7. Carefully remove the paper templates from the mug. We left the flower so that we could add the bottom petals with the same dotting method before removing.
8. To create the centre of a flower, we used a circle template and added dots fading out towards the petals. When your design is complete, remove all templates ensuring there is no tape or Blu-Tack residue.
9. Follow the instructions included with the markers to heat set your design. Your Mother’s Day Mug is now ready to gift!
