In the coming months, the Board is scheduled to attend numerous sporting trade fairs, starting with Velofollies, to be held this week in the Belgian city of Kortrijk.” In addition, throughout this year,
the independent body will actively participate in the development of events such as the Tour of Valencia and the 'Toy Tour'. The head of the Provincial Government also referred to the significant impact that this event generates to the economy of the Costa Blanca, as the cyclists and the entire technical team accompanying them, around 2,500 people, will spend two nights in hotels in the province. In addition, one must take into account issues such as spending on leisure and the great tourist impact a competition of this nature entails. "Tourism is the heart of the economy of our province and also the foundation of the welfare of our people. Therefore, we will continue working in this direction, because our priority is job creation and that, in addition to generating the other productive sectors, is our objective with growing tourism,” concluded Sanchez.
roundabouts and to note that no matter how incredulous it might seem that traffic in the inside lance can cut up traffic in the outside lane if the inside lane wishes to turn left, they do have the right of way by Spain's traffic law, so please drive carefully. During 2016 Spain registered a new record low in the number of fatalities per accident since 1960. Last year there were 1,126 deaths from traffic accidents on urban roads: 6 fewer than in 2014. Spain continues to rank as
the fifth country with the best road safety and is next to Denmark and the United Kingdom, the only other EU countries that closed 2015 with fewer deaths than in 2014. The decline of victims is repeated for the twelfth consecutive year. The death toll represents a record low since 1960, the first
year in which statistics are available, when there were 1,300 people, with a scenario of mobility quite different. In 1960 there were one million vehicles and in 2015 the fleet exceeds 31 million. Next week the CoastRider will present a complete look at Spain;s driving statistics. Drive carefully.
