É la ricerca di una forma espressiva concreta, armonica ed emozionale, che ha portato Roberta Lunardelli a scoprire e approfondire le tecniche nella lavorazione della ceramica artistica, affinate e arricchite dalle conoscenze e dall’esperienza di autorevoli maestri ceramisti italiani. Utilizzare metodi di lavorazione e cottura particolari, creare forme dalle linee originali. Dare espressione alla materia con impasti di terre di varia natura. Giocare cromaticamente con “nuances” di smalti e colori, dare forma e personalità a oggetti di design (vasi, ciotole, piatti, ...), oltre che ad eleganti collane e accessori moda, lavorati a mano e confezionati in modo artigianale “uno a uno”.

This represents the search for a concrete, harmonious and emotional form of expression, that has led Roberta Lunardelli to discover and carry out an in-depth study into the working techniques used in artistic ceramics, refined and enhanced by the knowledge and experience of renowned Italian master ceramic artists. Using particular working and baking firing techniques, creating shapes with original lines. Giving expression to the medium using different kinds of clay mixtures. Chromatically playing with “nuances” of glazes and colours, giving shape and character to design objects (vases, bowls, dishes, ...), in addition to elegant necklaces and fashion accessories, both handmade and packaged “one-by-one” in an artisanal way.

Le acque del Friuli si riflettono nell’azzurro di “perle” fatte di terra argillosa, che richiamano nella forma al bambù, la pianta presente lungo il corso di molti fiumi, con radici profonde a difesa degli argini. Il dettaglio color bronzo ispira al luccichìo di vivaci pesci a caccia delle loro prede.

The waters in the Friuli area are reflected in the blue of “pearls” made of clayey earth, that recall the shape of bamboo, the plant that is present along many rivers, with deep roots protecting the river banks. The bronze-coloured detail draws inspiration from the shimmering of lively fish hunting down their prey.

La legatoria Ciani nasce nel 1942 a Udine; specializzata nella rilegatura classica e artistica si occupa di cucitura e piccolo restauro libri fino a metà degli anni 90. L’arrivo della terza generazione introduce una linea di quaderni ed album fotografici originali caratterizzati dalla ricerca di forme e materiali sempre diversi, con una particolare attenzione al riutilizzo. Paola nelle sue creazioni ama giocare con il colore e gli accessori spaziando anche su materiali non scontati ed insoliti.

Ciani bindery was founded in 1942 in Udine; specializing in classical and artistic binding, it deals with sewing and small book restoration until the mid-90s. The arrival of the third generation introduces a line of original notebooks and photo albums characterized by the search for different shapes and materials, with particular attention to reuse. Paola, in her creations, loves to play with color and accessories, even on unusual materials.

Amo guardare il suo scorrere verso il mare.”

“The river Isonzo, a water border, that protected against invaders in the past and a reassuring place that I hold dear to my heart in the present. When I was a child, my grandfather taught me how to observe the nuances of its water according to the season and the weather, as this determined whether he went fishing or not. I adore watching it flow towards the sea.”

Since 1966, Legatoria Moderna has been pursuing and handing down from generation to generation an ancient profession, that originates from the need to keep written text together and that has evolved in several different ways over the course of the centuries, also according to the area in which it is carried out. In the workshop, when your books are taken care of, by exclusively “hand-binding” them, the volumes are repaired and restored by reproposing the original style and technique. In addition to this, also new, particular products are created, either as unique items or as limited editions, according to the Customers’ needs. An “old” text can be given a “new, made-to-measure cover”, a personalised gift can be created (also for companies) or an extra-special wedding album can be designed. Sul foglio 258 del Codice Atlantico è abbozzato lo studio per una particolare ruota idraulica, in pratica un insieme di segni che esprimono una fantasia dinamica dei fluidi. Nella mia opera ho voluto cogliere il momento in cui questo progetto comincia a prendere vita, trasformandosi in una realtà 3D.

On folio 258 of the Codex Atlanticus, there is a sketch relating to the study of a particular water wheel, practically a series of signs that express the flow patterns of fluid dynamics. In my work, I aimed at capturing the moment in which this project started to come to life, transforming into a 3D reality.

This is an all-female company that designs, produces and distributes unique objects with a strong emotional impact to 250 stores located both in Italy and abroad, starting from tradition, by blending digital language and hand finishing with the passion for calligraphy and writing, in pursuit of the roots of the enlarged territory of one’s heart. Abbiamo trasportato le suggestioni delle macchine volanti di Leonardo in un universo onirico di cielo e mare che s’intersecano senza limiti spaziali o temporali. La terra rimane il punto fermo da cui i nostri sogni partono per attraversare i mari della speranza.

We have transported the fascination of Leonardo’s flying machines into a dreamlike universe of sky and sea that intertwine without any spatial or time limits. The earth remains the fixed point from which our dreams set off in order to cross the seas of hope.
