Through their partnership, all performances take place in the 985-seat Champion Auditorium at Boerne-Samuel V. Champion High School, a state-of-the-art facility, commended for its acoustics, design and access to the school’s rehearsal facilities. In turn, BPA has hosted more than 28,000 students in its Boerne Performing Arts FOR KIDS outreach program where students get to The Ten Tenors experience live concerts by world-class artists during special matinee performances. This season, another 4,000 students in grades 2-5 will participate. “Not only is it great entertainment for the ticket holders, but it’s contribution to the school children of Boerne is immeasurable. They are able to see these performers up close and often are allowed to ask questions and meet the performers,” says Karen Hunke, a Cordillera Ranch resident who, along with husband Phil, was an early supporter of BPA. Additionally, BPA presents “Preludes and Interludes” in the Champion Auditorium lobby.
