Yorkshire Yorkshire is one of the UK’s great holiday destinations. Inland, the city of York has something for everyone, including the Gothic cathedral York Minster, a race course, the medieval shops of The Shambles and the National Railway Museum housing iconic engines including Stephenson’s Rocket, Mallard and Intercity 125 ‘Flying Banana,’ the fastest ever diesel locomotive.

Bessingby Mews holiday cottages are located in a lovely village, just outside Bridlington. The area boasts a myriad of great walking and birdwatching areas - ‘Woldgate’ made famous by David Hockney, is less than a mile away and the beach is a 1.5 mile stroll. Brid has a working harbour, landing the UKs largest seafood catches - whereas the spectacular puffins, gannets (largest mainland colony) - and our now regular visitor - a black legged albatross also visit, for the plentiful food and the cosy homes, they tuck on to the spectacular white cliffs. Proud to be adult, child and toddler friendly. • Disability friendly, we can offer a selection of items, from toilet risers and booster cushions, to zimmer frames, walking sticks, wheelchair and door ramp. • Both the large farmhouse and the cosy, one bedroomed Cupid’s Cottage are dog friendly. • We grow lots of organic fruit and veg, to help yourselves to in the garden. • Short stay & long term friendly. • Wildlife friendly - as well as all the bird feeders in the garden, we provide binoculars, bird watching books, maps and information leaflets. • Hibernating friendly - if you just want to come an hibernate, we have hundreds of books and DVDs for you to enjoy.
