England Top Stays England is a land of such variety and interest it can be almost impossible for people to decide where to pick to spend their precious downtime. The good news is, if you’re in the mood to enjoy it, whichever area you choose will have plenty of scope to please the most pernickety holidaymaker! Devon remains ever popular, with its perfect golden beaches and super surf of the north coast attracting the active wave chasers and happy families to resorts such as Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and Croyde Bay and pretty fishing villages, wonderful eateries and appealing shops providing relaxed and enjoyable options. Strawfields camping and glamping provides an excellent base for the county’s northern delights, while in West Devon, the farmland base of Nettle & Dock is ideal for exploring Dartmoor National Park with attractions including Greenway, family home of crime queen Agatha Christie and the nation’s newest castle, Drogo. Over in West Somerset, Little Bow Green is glamping territory near the county town of Taunton, where attractions include a heritage railway, a 12th century castle housing the fascinating county museum and many pleasant walking and cycling trails. The beach at Burnham on Sea is only around 20 miles away and Exmoor, too, is within easy reach. The extraordinary treehouse of HappenOak is a wonderful base from which to explore the stunning university city of Cambridge, which has educated some of the most influential minds in all history and positively oozes history, heritage and academia, not to mention beautiful countryside. Neighbouring Lincolnshire can easily hold its own, however, not least among the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty able to be enjoyed to the full from Stewton Stars Hideaway.
