ESL & GED Classes

PATH is a grant project of Partners Resource Network, Inc., one of three federally funded Parent Training and Information Centers serving Texas parents of children ages 26 and younger who have disabilities.

Services are free to parents and those who work with disabled children.

English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education Development (GED) classes are offered by the Denton ISD Adult Education Department at all Denton Public Library locations. Call (940) 369-0091 for times, locations and to register.

Documentation is one of the most important things you can do for you and your child when working with the special education system. This workshop helps parents understand the importance of documenting and organizing their child’s special education paperwork and teaches parents how and what to document.

Classes and events in The

FORGE The Forge is Denton Public Library’s new technology makerspace. Makerspaces are areas designated for collaboration and creativity.

Located at the North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St., The Forge is home to a collection of powerful computer hardware and state-of-the-art software, two 3D printers, and other peripherals for recording and editing sound and video. It also includes Arduino kits, digital drawing/tracing pads and a number of other features.

In addition to the classes listed here, Forge staff take suggestions from customers and will offer other programs from time to time.

Stop Motion Videos – Halloween Edition

Learn how to make a stop motion video from storyboarding to editing.

Teams will create videos with a Halloween, horror or scary movie theme on Tuesday and come back to edit and view the flicks with a side of popcorn on Wednesday.

Kids with Cameras - Photography Workshop Series

This hands-on basic photography workshop, a three-part series, will provide young photographers with great tips and tricks that they can practice and share.
