American History for the Trivia Buff

It is the perfect place to find vintage & specialty magazines, pictures for projects, something new to read, or a place to recycle magazines from home. Magazines left over after the event will be recycled as part of the effort to keep Denton green.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Help plan & run library programs. Discuss books, movies & music. Write reviews, make book trailers, work on service related projects, earn community service hours for school & more! For teens grades 6-12. For more information call 349-8741.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a United Way of Denton County program that provides free tax preparation & e-filing services for low-to-moderate income families & individuals. To qualify for the VITA program, participant’s annual income must be $50,000 or less. VITA is made possible by partnerships with the Internal Revenue Service & the Denton Public Library.
