75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION It’s a Party! Join us as we celebrate this important milestone in our library’s history. Look for historical exhibits & displays, add your special stories to our memory books, & enjoy an interesting presentation on the history of the Denton Public Library. Refreshments will be served. There will be a special Library Larry Live performance at 5 pm for the children.

Find out ways librarians have delivered books throughout time from horses & camels to boats & trucks. We will read a story, learn more about traveling librarians, & make a book-inspired craft. O'Neil Ford, Texas' Architect: Denton Roots & Denton Legacy

O'Neil Ford was arguably the most prominent architect to have come from Texas. In his long & distinguished career, he achieved both popular & critical success, yet retained a strong life-long link to his hometown of Denton. Ford designed the expansion of the library in 1969 along with several other municipal buildings. Join us as Mike Cochran presents an intimate look at O’Neil Ford’s design aesthetics & his influence on Denton’s architecture.
