Hi Green Monkeys!! My term is almost over! I hope some of you are thinking about running for a position for the upcoming year whether for your home club, division or maybe even District. Anyways, it is finals season so I hope you all are studying and continuing to do service! There was no DCM this month, but I look forward to seeing you all at the next one which will be Valentine’s Day themed. Historians, I know your terms are coming to an end as well, but please continue to submit articles and visuals by the 10th of every month. My newsletters are not possible without you guys. Thank you!

Hello everyone! As some of you may know, I have served for a year already. I can’t believe time has flew by so quickly as I was elected on January 10, 2015. I was nervous and shaky reciting my speech as I was the first one to talk. I broke into tears half way into my speech trying to still get across my platform and messages to you all. I always had the dream of taking the challenge of becoming LTG but thought, why me? Out of everyone who was so passionate about this service organization, why me? Why the girl who barely decides what she wants for breakfast!! I always felt that my sense of direction as a child guided me well with leadership. Growing up however Division 13 North gave me the chance to be that girl. That girl was inspired by the 3 years of Key Club she had worked so hard in, the members, her club board, her best friend, and her current Lieutenant Governor, Amanda Lao. I'm into the final quarter of my term, I know the light within key club has dimmed as it is my senior year and my priorities are college and what life will be like after graduating. However I see the light in you all that keeps me going. Without you all, we wouldn't have raised over $4,000 this term. Already without you all, we wouldn't have surpassed 5,000 service hours. I know I may not always be there when you need me or we may not talk all the time, but if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for believing in the girl who had second thoughts in believing herself, I truly am aware of what I can accomplish with you all. Also, thank you to those who attended Conclave, congratulations to Jasmine! I look forward to the rest of the term with you all. P.S. I am still relevant until after D-Con!
Julie Trinh Division 13 North Lieutenant Governor 2015-2016
Hello my Green Monkeys! I hope everyone is surviving finals! School's starting to wrap up with the end of the semester, which means the term is starting to come to an end. Last month was a very important month for the upcoming term, Julie gave birth to our LTG elect! Thanks to all of y'all who came out to conclave to witness this. Make sure to congratulate Jasmine Nauta for being elected as our new LTG! But we can't forget about everything that Julie Trinh has done for our division. As Julie's term comes to an end make sure to give her a hug, or even pinch her cheeks, to thank her for all of her hard work. Remember, Julie's still relevant until after DCON smile emoticon. Hope to see y'all at our next DCM or division event! Christie Lee This month has been pretty amazing. We got to witness the birth of our new lieutenant governor elect conclave and I'm glad that some of you attended. As we get closer to the new year I hope that nobody forgets their passion of service as the changing of leaders occur. I hope to see everyone at our next DCM or next division event Gilberto Peraza-Martinez
Hi everyone, I gave birth to a boy! His name is Brian Nguyen, and he is D420NW's LTG elect! Finals week is coming up, please get some rest, eat well, and of course relax! They don't want you to do well, so you're going to do well! Can you believe it, our term is almost over, let's finish strong 13N! As always, stay crispy. Bethany Nguyen
Hey green monkeys! We're already swinging into our second semester of school (wowza!) and swinging out of this term soon (cry-za). I know you all did amazing on those finals and the stress of it is now gone. Let's go celebrate by serving! I highly encourage you all to go to DCON and see the amazing things we have done this term! Also, remember to congratulate Jasmine Nauta for becoming our Lieutenant Governor Elect, yay! But let's give a round of oohs and aahs to Julie Trinh for everything she's done for us this term! I hope see you all at the next DCM or division event! Until then, I hope you all happiness and good vibes! Jessica Doan Hello monkeys! I can't believe the term is almost coming to an end. Time really SWINGS by; I hope it has been enjoyable for you all! Conclave was just this past month, which means Julie has finally given birth to a new Lieutenant Governor (Congrats Jasmine!). It is now February and I hope all of you are continuing to volunteer and raising funds. Remember to stay healthy and eat bananas (sorry, not sorry) and work hard as always! Ansley Tran

For the month of December, Lakewood Key Club volunteered at the First Congregational Church in Long Beach to take part in feeding the homeless. The event took place on December 13, 2015. Many volunteers outside of Key Club also assist in preparing the food, handing out drinks, giving out the meals, and the donation of clothes. Key Clubbers were separated into two different shifts. One shift required organizing the donations of clothes and separating them by gender and the type of article it was. It was pretty hectic since there were many clothing items all over the place. The other shift that Lakewood Key Clubbers had was giving out socks to the homeless to keep their feet warm for the winter. The homeless would also enjoy reading, watching movies, playing games and having conversations with others. Many check their email and write job applications and resumes in the computer lab. It was an unforgettable experience seeing the homeless with smiles on their faces!

Although finals are approaching, Warren key clubbers are still hard at work. On January 9th, Warren High School once again volunteered at the Downey first Christian church. Even though winter break may have ended, Warren High Key Clubbers started the year off strong, by giving food to the needy. It was a chilly morning and Warren Key Clubbers were working very hard. Hopefully the food we gave them filled their tummies for tonight and this upcoming week. I hope everyone had a great time! It was wonderful seeing big smiles on everyone's faces. The chilly season is almost over! Bethany Nguyen, Warren
This year Key Clubbers at Cerritos ended the year with a spirited note with several holiday events! Key Clubbers volunteered at the Discovery Cube's Winter Wonderfest twice throughout December to help with activities for the kids like a Gingerbread Derby, Cookie Decorating, and helping Santa throughout the meet and greet period. Key Clubbers also volunteered at a local elementary school day care to play games, bond, and help with holiday crafts! Cerritos Key Clubbers really bonded with the kids which left the kids wishing day care was longer! Cerritos Key Clubbers also helped with the Holiday Vintage Party at the Artesia Christian Home! Key Clubbers had a great time talking and helping the seniors when finished eating! Overall Key Clubbers had a spirited last month of 2015.
