NETBALL

After the multiple successes of Term 1 and 2, Term 3 has seen no let up for the netballers with many girls still involved in training programmes.

Firstly our UAE Open representatives enjoyed a phenomenal five day European Challenge Cup Championships in Cardiff, Wales beating arch rivals Ireland in the final to take the title. Five DC players represented the winning UAE side; Kate L, Sophie S, Alana F M, Alex Cand Charlie P who was named Player of the Tournament, massive congratulations to them all for securing the Gold Medal as well as Head Coach Deb Jones, Deputy Head at DC.

UAE U17 trials also took place this term with no less than 8 DC representatives making it into the Long Squad for next year's European Championships: Chloe A, Olivia A, Molly F, Jess H, Mya K, Hana L, Maria M, Alejandra R, congratulations to them all and best of luck.

The DC Senior Sports Awards evening celebrated all the successes of the year and we were delighted to see our netballers achieving Full and Half Colours galore with a special mention to Kate L and Sophie S receiving the inaugural Honours Award, two of only three presented this year, epitomising the absolute elite award for our best ever DC sporting students. Netball's Most Improved Award was deservedly won by Alex C and Player of the Year by Charlie P.
