In 2004, I opened Studio E. Genevieve. We work intensively with a few clients a year and create several large projects of our own invention. Our 2017-2018 projects include a studio building project, a product design, and completing my doctoral dissertation entitled Homelings. I hold an MFA in sculpture and painting from the School of Visual Arts, 1996, an MA in religion from Union Theological Seminary, 2001, and Ph.D. (ABD) from the European Graduate School. As a creative director and art director in editorial design, my career led me from the Boston Globe to WBMG, to Rolling Stone, to Time magazine, and to The New York Times where for fourteen years I became intimately familiar with newspaper design and journalism and loved it. I have been teaching (graphic) design thinking in colleges internationally for over two decades. It's the most challenging and collaborative thing I've ever done. I enjoy it more every day.
