คุ ณ พงษ์ เ ทพ ธนกิ จ สุ น ทร รองกรรมการผู ้ จั ด การสายงานการตลาดและสารสนเทศ บริษทั ซิมโฟนี่ คอมมูนเิ คชัน่ จ�ำกัด (มหาชน) เข้าร่วมพิธลี งนามบันทึกข้อตกลงการน�ำสาย สื่อสารโทรคมนาคมลงดิน ที่การไฟฟ้านครหลวงมีโครงการย้ายระบบไฟฟ้าลงใต้ดิน บริเวณถนนพหลโยธิน โดยความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานทางภาครัฐ 5 องค์กร ได้แก่ การไฟฟ้านครหลวง กรุงเทพมหานคร ส�ำนักงานต�ำรวจแห่งชาติ ส�ำนักงานคณะกรรมการ กิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ และสมาคม โทรคมนาคมแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ พร้อมทั้งเชิญตัวแทนจากบริษัท ผู้ประกอบกิจการด้านโทรคมนาคมเข้าร่วมงาน ณ การไฟฟ้านครหลวง ส�ำนักงานใหญ่ (เพลินจิต) เมื่อวันที่ 14 ธันวาคม 2559 Khun Pongthep Thanakijsuntorn, Executive Vice President Marketing and IMC, Symphony Communication Public Company Limited participated in the Memorandum of Understanding of the Underground Cable Project. The Metropolitan Electricity Authority has initiated a project to replace overhead cables with underground cables on Phahonyothin Road. The project is a cooperation between 5 government agencies, including Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Royal Thai Police, Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission and The Telecommunications Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. These government agencies, along with the representatives from the telecommunication business operators, were invited to attend the event at the headquarters of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (Ploenchit) on 14 December 2016. 04

cables on the ground. The project is the result of a cooperation to connect network services between Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand via submarine cables. With the distance of 1,300 km. and investment value of two billion baht for the connection of communication network between Asian countries and other regions in the world and make Thailand as the hub of communications in the region (Hub of Asian) and helps boost expansion in communication, trading and investment as well as economic development while bringing a huge amount of benefits in the regional. This service is set to launch in the 3 countries in April. The event was held on 30 January 2017.

The meeting was also held to seek a joint operation approach for the International Network Operation Center (iNOC) teams of both companies and report the progress of the MCT Submarine Cable project. The project is a cooperation between Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand, and is another way to connect the network services with that of the international countries. The service is set to launch in April.

The “IOT & Cloud Thailand 2017” seminar was held by Enterprise ITPro Magazine at Anoma Room, Anoma Hotel on 22 February 2017. At the event, Symphony Communication Public Company Limited, the leader of domestic and international high-speed communication network services opened a booth to provide the participants with information about their service which applies communication network to support services like IoT (Internet of Things) and Cloud, which are recently becoming popular among a variety of businesses. The information provided in the seminar would help these businesses plan for further technological developments for their business.

This is achieved by the creation of its own Cloud system to support the operation of the airport during its peak traffic time. 08

During the International Telecommunication Union Conference in Seoul, South Korea, the plan to implement the 5G in 2018 was announced. This means that we will be able to enjoy a new experience of a 5G network earlier than planned. With its global technical standards, the system will come with a higher speed in data transfer and enable synchronization with more various devices.

Recently, researchers from the scientists from the Imperial College of London, cooperated with UK Biotech, a genetic electronics company, to develop a flash drive that can detect HIV through blood dropped onto it before transferring data to the system to calculate before transferring the results to a computer or Smartphone within 21 minutes. This makes it suitable for individuals who would like to self-examine themselves for HIV in their blood.

Limited regards the broadband market in Thailand as a very interesting market. For the action plan and marketing goals of 2017, Mr. Prapat said that this year is to provide for the installation of high-speed internet in up to 100 high-rise buildings and condominiums. At the moment, the company has provided its service in 30 buildings, or around 30,000 units and 40 more are planned for those currently under construction. The company is working on expanding the market to fulfill the remaining 30 buildings by expanding its service nationwide. Bangkok will be its focus as their main service area.

Security is another issue that the government sector, especially the relevant departments, needs to place a high importance on and ensure its strict compliance. What we need to realize now is Digital Disruptive, or the turning point of digital technology that manages to eradicate old business systems. Today, new technologies have replaced the original systems, especially after the “Digital Tsunami” has died down. Mr. Thongkam Manasilapapan, CEO of Simat Technologies Public Limited Company told us that the broadband business today has come to a turning point whereby low-speed signal cables like ADSL has been changed to optical fibers and latest technology used in their network. Although Simat has just recently entered the broadband market, the company is well-equipped with latest technologies which is believed to be suitable for the ongoing increase of demands. It is going to be an interesting business opportunity for the company. “Regarding the internet broadband market today, I believe that we are competing in quality, speed and flexibility. ให้บริการบรอดแบนด์ในยุคต้นๆ ใช้เทคโนโลยี DSL และ Cable Modem มีอัตราการส่งข้อมูล ประมาณไม่เกิน 10 Mb/s ขึ้นอยู่กับระยะห่าง ระหว่างผู้ใช้กับชุมสาย ก่อนที่จะมีการพัฒนา เทคโนโลยีบรอดแบนด์ที่ใช้สายใยแก้วน�ำแสง และคลื่ น วิ ท ยุ เ พื่ อ เข้ า ถึ ง ผู ้ ใ ช้ ห รื อ เรี ย กว่ า บรอดแบนด์ไร้สายนั่นเอง ศูนย์วิจัยกสิกรไทย ได้คาดว่าปริมาณข้อมูลที่ ใช้งานผ่านบรอดแบนด์อินเทอร์เน็ตแบบมีสาย ของผู ้ บ ริ โ ภคในระหว่ า งปี 2559-2561 จะ เติบโตอย่างก้าวกระโดดเฉลีย่ ร้อยละ 24.7 ต่อปี ส่งผลให้คาดว่าในปี 2561 ปริมาณข้อมูลที่ใช้ งานจะอยู่ที่ราว 46 กิกะไบต์ต่อรายต่อเดือน สูงกว่าปี 2559 ที่คาดว่าจะใช้เพียง 27 กิกะไบต์ ต่อรายต่อเดือนราว 1.9 เท่า

The main reason why broadband technology is popular and receive a constant demand is because users can transfer visual and audio data at high speed at no time limit, and they can always use the service any time without login (Always-on). Today, consumers’ internet usage have changed in their purpose of using, the data volume used and their desired speed that means they do not solely use the internet for search engines or social anymore but also used for entertainment and business as well such as watching high-definition online movies, making online purchases, selling online merchandises, online marketing and etc. The various utilizations of the internet has caused a continuous increase in data volume. Broadband service originally used DSL technology and cable modems which had a transmission rate of 10 Mbps or less depending on the distance between the user and the telephone exchange. That was before we were introduced to optical fiber broadband, radio wave technologies 22

and wireless broadband that enabled us to reach the users. Kasikorn Research Center foresees that from 2016 to 2018, the volume of data transferred through broadband internet will jump drastically by an average of 24.7% per year. Accordingly, it is expected for data volume to be at approximately 46 gigabytes per month in 2018, about 1.9 times more than that in 2016, which was presumably only at 27 gigabytes each month. The global usage of broadband, especially in Asia, has been increasing continuously for the past several years and is expected to continue growing. Due to the increased demand for data communication at high speed, wireless broadband communication technology has become a new, low-cost alternative that can be applied in a variety of services. The technology can also be expanded to be used by end users via “Last Mile” of other wired technologies.

การเดินทาง: จากเมืองนารา นัง่ รถไฟเอกชนทีส่ ถานี Yamatosaidaiji สาย KintetsuKyoto/Kashihara Line Exp. ลงสถานี Kashiharajingumae แล้ว เปลี่ยนไปขึ้นสาย Kintetsu Minami-Osaka/ YoshinoLine Exp. ลงสถานี Yoshino จากนั้น นั่ง Shuttle Bus ลงป้าย Naka Senbon

One of the most beautiful gardens owned by the elite families in Japan, you will get to experience the beauty of cherry blossoms along with the great landscapes of the garden here. Inside the garden, the pond “Kasumi ga-ike” and two-legged stone lanterns can be found. The lanterns were designed in the shape of the Koto (the Japanese harp) and are located on the sides of the pond, near a bridge, the landmark of this garden.

This place has been a popular spot to view cherry blossoms ever since the old days. Tourists will be fascinated by the sight of over 30,000 cherry blossom trees that bloom and cover the entire Yoshino Mountain. The mountain is divided into four sections according to altitude, including Shimosenbon, Naga-senbon, Kami-senbon and Oku-senbon. The most scenic perspective can be seen at the Takagiyama Viewpoint.

The highlight of the festival is the large cherry blossom tree called “The Original Tree of Kawazu-Zakura” that has lived for over 60 years. The evening will be lit up with lights on the cherry blossom trees, making it a breathtaking sight to relish as you walk. The entire town of Kawazu is packed with around 8,000 blooming cherry blossoms. Transportation: From Atami, take the express train at JR Atami Station to the JR Kawazu Station. Then, take a 200 meters walk from the station and you will see the Kawazu River.

Transportation: From Kanazawa, take the Kanazawa Loop Bus in front of the JR Kanazawa Station to the Kenrokuen-Shita stop. Then, climb up the hill on your left for about 200 meters until you see the intersection where the Information booth is located. Head to the left corner, then walk straight past the booth and you will see the entrance.

Transportation: From Nara, take the train from the private railway company to Yamatosaidaiji Station on the KintetsuKyoto/Kashihara Line Exp. Get off at Kashiharajingumae Station and transfer to Kintetsu Minami-Osaka/Yoshino Line Exp. Then, get off at Yoshino Station and take a shuttle bus to the Naka-senbon stop.

Rice Baga is a chic Japanese rice burger café with a unique concept. Ms. Ornuma Tapang, Senior Service & Facilities Officer and Mr. Watchara Suedech, Senior Domestic & Project SDM Officer, suggested that we should come and try the creative dishes made by the owner of the restaurant – Mr. Varut Thanvarachorn or “Chef Phat” who creates the well thought-out menu and homemade sauces which make the Japanese rice burger a very tasty and original recipe. The restaurant is decorated in a simple design with a small Japanese-like atmosphere. The concept is an “Open Rice Burger” where the tastes of Japanese, Korean and Thai are combined together.

(250 THB), a perfect combination of soft shell crabs coated in whole deep-fried bread crumbs and Japanese-styled teriyaki sauce. All menu items are served in a set with side dishes that range from french fries and waffle fries to salads. Other toppings, such as fried eggs, Onsen eggs, parmesan cheese, tomatoes and shredded cabbage, can also be added as desired.

The signature dish is called Moo-Ping Sirloin (159 THB), it is a burger with grilled pork sirloin, served with spicy sauce. The menu was inspired by Kao Niao Moo Ping (grilled pork skewers with sticky rice). The meat is very tender because only premium pork sirloin is used. Another signature dish is the Hamburg Beef (189 THB), an imported minced beef burger from the U.S. is mixed with 11 Thai and Japanese ingredients. Thus, the Hamburg made is enriched with the flavors of the marinade.

Don’t miss their Signature Iced Latte (90 THB). The highlight of this menu item is frozen coffee in the shape of ice cubes, served with coffee and milk shots. Syrup can be added and everything should be mixed before drinking. The other suggested drink is the Melon Frappe (115 THB), which blends fresh Japanese melons, making a refreshing and tender taste.

HIGH SPEED IS ITS FEATURE บรอดแบนด์ คือ เทคโนโลยีการรับส่งข้อมูล จ� ำ นวนมากด้ ว ยความเร็ ว สู ง ผ่ า นเครื อ ข่ า ย อินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านสื่อใช้สาย เช่น เคเบิลใยแก้ว น�ำแสง สายเคเบิลทีวี สายโทรศัพท์ (DSL) หรือ สื่อไร้สายเช่น 3G, 4G/LTE เป็นต้น

โดยทั่ ว ไปบรอดแบนด์ จ ะมี ค วามเร็ ว สู ง กว่ า อินเทอร์เน็ตเดิม (Dial-Up) มาก ซึ่งความเร็วที่ สูงขึ้นนั้นอาจเป็น 10-20 เท่าขึ้นไป โดยจะมี ความเร็วตั้งแต่ 256,000 บิทต่อวินาทีจนถึง 10 ล้านบิทต่อวินาที ขึ้นอยู่กับผู้ให้บริการ

Broadband is a data transmission technology with an ability to transport multiple data through the Internet. The transmission is made via cables, such as optical fibers, TV cables and, DSL, or wireless mediums like 3G, 4G/LTE, etc.

Broadband generally provides a faster speed than the dial-up internet by over 1020 times. The speed ranges from 256,000 bps. to 10 million bps. depending on the service providers.

Unlike the dial-up system, broadband users are not required to dial a number to connect to the Internet because the connection can be made with multiple computers, both in the workplace and residence.
