Cherokee Recreation and Parks Therapeutic Recreation Programs are designed to increase independence and improve quality of life through recreation and leisure for those with special needs. Each Cherokee Recreation and Parks (CRPA) program is designed to accommodate all abilities. For this reason, you and your family are encouraged to participate in every program CRPA offers.
R egistration :
Registration for all programs is February 1, 2021, unless otherwise noted.
P rerequisite :
Participants in therapeutic recreation programs (including KAOS Camps) require an assessment prior to registration. The purpose of the assessment is to determine individual skill and ability levels prior to participation. To schedule an assessment, call 770-924-7768.

LEISURE SPECTRUM
Would you like to socialize with friends or spend a night on the town away from your parents? Leisure Spectrum is an all-inclusive six-week program that involves weekly field trips into the community. Activities may include bowling, laser tag, movies, art, music, or shopping. Session 1: Tuesdays, March 2 – April 13 (no meeting April 6) Session 2: Tuesdays, August 3 – September 7 Time(s): 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Location: Meet at the Recreation Center Ages: 13 years of age and older Cost: $130 for the six-week session

Cooking for Independence
Learn important cooking techniques ranging from easy food preparation to advanced kitchen skills. This is an allinclusive, four-week course. COOKING FOR SPRING

Everybody Dance Now
Get ready to move! A variety of rhythmic music will spur interaction and physical fitness through dance. This is an all-inclusive four-week course with monthly registration.
