Hollywood actor Jude Law has tied the knot for the second time! The 46-year-old Sherlock star and business psychologist Phillipa Coan, 32 shunned showbiz pals and invited only close family to the low-key ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in central London in a chauffeur-driven Range Rover. He was spotted helping his bride-to-be from the black 4x4 before gripping her hand as they made their way up the stone steps for the ceremony. They emerged about an hour later with their wedding bands proudly on display then got back into their waiting vehicle without posing for any pictures. Jude was previously married to fellow actress Sadie Frost, 53. They had three children together, Rafferty now aged 22, Iris, 18, and Rudy, 16 before divorcing in 2003. Congrats Jude!

Katie Price is recovering at home after getting liposuction, a Brazilian bum lift and a facelift, and friends of the 40-yearold reality star, say she’s concerned about her facelift, which recently got infected. “Katie’s face is being very slow to heal. Her immune system is very low and she’s constantly worried it’ll get infected after both her boob and her face got infected in the past after surgery,” says the friend. “She’s concerned the scars around her face aren’t healing quickly enough – she’s even joked her ears might fall off. “She’s keeping her hair up and away from the wounds and is constantly paranoid about the animals coming near her as she’s been advised to stay away from anything dirty that could cause an infection.” That’s the house then!

UK TV host, Caroline Flack has splashed out more than £1,000 on a luxury hotel and spa for her pet dog! Pampered French bulldog Ruby regularly stays at Little Lord Barkley whenever she has to work away from home. The £80-a-night retreat serves up Evian drinking water and Harrods and Fortnum & Mason food cooked by a chef. Pets enjoy afternoon tea and piano recitals at the “country chic hotel for small dogs” in Headley, Surrey, and for an extra £85 a night, they have a 24-hour nanny. Tupac Shakur spoke of planning to fake his own death just weeks before he was fatally shot in Las Vegas, according to his former record label boss, Suge Knight. Knight claims the rapper told him about his idea during their trip to the Pacific island of Maui. Speaking on Showtime documentary American Dream / American Knightmare, Suge says: “We was in Maui, you know what I mean, and Pac had, like, never been to Maui. And he got to talking about faking his own death. “And Pac was more down for doing, like, the last little videos and s*** of him dying all in the white, you know what i’m sayin’, with Redd Foxx and everybody like that.” Well all these conspiracy theories certainly keep the documentary industry in business!

George Clooney has revealed how his wife Amal banned him from riding motorcycles after his accident last year. The 57-year-old Hollywood ‘A’ list actor and filmmaker was riding a scooter when a car crashed into him and threw him into the air. He thankfully wasn’t seriously injured. During an event for his new Hulu series Catch-22, George revealed that he’s no longer allowed to ride the vehicles. His producing partner Grant Heslov‘s wife also placed a ban on motorcycles. “I’m not allowed to ride motorcycles,” he said. “I got into a really bad accident. I hit a guy at 70 miles an hour on my bike. Got launched. And so that’s, I’m off bikes. Grant’s off. We screwed up and our wives were like, ‘You can never get on a bike again.’ Not exactly ‘sons of anarchy’ hey George!

All charges against Vince Vaughn after his DUI arrest last June have been dismissed. The 49-year-old actor, who rose to fame in the 2005 cult film the Wedding Crashes, pleaded no contest to “wet reckless” driving – which is a reduced charge when someone drives with alcohol in their system, but it is not a DUI, TMZ reports. Back in June 2018, Vince was arrested in Manhattan Beach, Calif. for driving under the influence and disobeying a police officer. Vince will now have to pay about $1,700 in fines and penalties. He also must attend an alcohol education course and will be on informal probation for three years. Wet reckless driving – now that sounds interesting!

The 38-year-old boasts an incredible 136 million followers, and if businesses want her to endorse their brands they need to fork out an eye-watering amount, writes US site TMZ. In court documents Kim’s filed against fashion brand Missguided USA, Kim is demanding $5million after accusing the company of using her image to promote its products. While the docs justify the amount by claiming Kim can pull in up to £380,000 for each online post, a source has now told TMZ the papers will likely be refiled because the true amount is actually £760,000 per post. The Beverly Hills 90210 actor died at the age of 52 in March, five days after suffering a stroke. In an Instagram post, she said that mushrooms “hold an entirely new meaning for me”. She wrote: “Any explanation i give will not do justice to the genius that is the mushroom burial suit, but it is essentially an eco friendly burial option via mushrooms. “He was buried in this suit, one of his final wishes. Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill have led the tributes to Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew after he died aged 74. The 7ft 3in actor, who played the iconic Wookiee in four Star Wars movies, passed away “with his family by his side” at his Texas home. In a statement family and friends hailed the actor as a “gentle giant and a very quiet, shy and beautiful person”. He played Chewbacca in Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Return of the Jedi (1983), Revenge Of The Sith (2005) and The Force Awakens (2005). The HBO juggernaut that is Game of Thrones may have come to an end, but Sophie Turner isn’t going to fade from the limelight any time soon. The 23-year-old has finally said goodbye to Sansa Stark in the massively popular series (and which contributed a considerable proportion of her estimated $5 million fortune) but it looks as if she will continue to make the headlines. of Thrones’ Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark has endured more than pretty much anyone else still left standing in eight brutal and bloody seasons. Her psychopathic husband ordered her father’s execution, her mother and brother were slaughtered at a wedding, she married two of the worst men ever depicted on screen and somehow managed to survive a completely demented mother-in-law. “Sansa has been through a bit,” she laughs. Audiences were horrified at Sansa’s rape in the series, and Sophie, who in real life is described as engaging company who puts people at their ease, recognised that scene and others where her character suffered abuse, could help survivors in real life “It’s important to me that people who may have endured similar circumstances and are too afraid to speak out can see the dialogue that the show created by playing out these scenes, and feel less alone and ashamed and feel more confident to speak out and get help,” she says. “To play a survivor, who has endured such monstrosities throughout her life, come out on top and thrive, is such a

around [the sufferers] as well,” she said in a recent interview. “My metabolism suddenly decided to fall to the depths of the ocean, and I started to get spotty and gain weight, and all of this was happening to me on camera.” Sophie found herself coming under pressure from film and television studios to lose weight and turned to therapy. “Everyone needs a therapist, especially when people are constantly telling you you’re not good enough and you don’t look good enough. I think it’s necessary to have someone to talk to, and to help you through that.” On a lighter note, Sophie has embraced social media enthusiastically, and even credits it with her successful casting in an unnamed project rather than her abilities as an actress. She said: ‘It was between me and another girl who is a far better actress than I am, far better, but I had the followers, so I got the job.’ As she moves onto the next phase of her professional and personal life, Sophie explains why Sansa Stark, the role that made her a worldwide star, struck a chord with the huge Game of Thrones audience. “She’s relatable to because she’s such a realistic character...I think she’s like young girls today — they read magazines, they look at models, they’ve got social media telling them how to act. That’s who Sansa is. She’s looked at the queen, she’s looked at Margaery Tyrell, and she idolises them. HOT Derry, tell Hot a little about yourself DB “I’m from Liverpool. I joined the Army when I was 19 – I was in the King’s Regiment - and went all over the world - Cyprus, Canada, Jordan, Northern Ireland, and then I was picked

for what they call the Army Foundation College The British Army is one of the only ones that employs 16-year-olds, so the Army Foundation College, takes them for two years until they can legally go into a war zone. I helped set that up and was there for two years, and that’s where I got my training background because we had to assess them. I became an advanced instructor. Eventually I left the Army and was a manager and a health and safety inspector for three years HOT So how did you move into the beauty business? DB When I met Becky, my wife, I was single and galavanting all over the world. So she said that I had to settle down and so we brought our first salon in Bootle in Liverpool. We had a look around the businesses, and a friend of mine had a sunbed shop in Liverpool, and because of the health risks they weren’t making any money, Becky said “I’ll just go back to college and learn all the beauty stuff and start working there”, and it went from there I went and became a Personal

Trainer, so I started doing Personal Training out the back – I did what was called Jail Fit – so they’d put boiler suits on and I would dress up as an American Prison Guard – so I’d do that at the back while she was doing beauty at the front!” HOT How did Boss Babes Uni begin? DB We started taking on apprentices at the salons and that’s how we started getting into the training. So we both went back to university and did our teacher training, so that we could teach people how to train. HOT Do you always have to be ready to go back and do new stuff and learn? DB Oh yes. Becky was on a course two weeks ago and I was on a course last week in Harley Street. Then I am going to Singapore to do another course in pigmentation for the hair and the eyebrows. You have to keep doing the courses because if you don’t then you’ll just fall behind. Now I’m fully qualified, facials, massage, I do all the treatments, botox, fillers, cavitation, I’m fully trained in all.

HOT Why did you decide to expand to Marbella? DB I used to come here a lot and I’ve known Suzy for about 15 years, so I’d always come and catch up. At that time it wasn’t right for us or Suzy, but when we came over in January we realised that we were ready to expand the business here.

So life is good? Oh yes. It couldn’t get any better really. We’re building it slowly but surely, because we had to get the name out there. It took us six years to get our names out there in the beauty world. This is our third year with Boss Babes Uni and it’s just going from strength to strength HOT DB

HOT Finally, how do you wind down DB I do a lot of boxing. I’m fighting on the May 31 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, with all the proceeds going to them, and especially to help the homeless veterans. And I’ve got five kids. So that takes up a lot of time! (laughs)

The recently renovated Max Beach brings a slice of Miami style to the coast, as Giles Brown discovers.

t was the Faye Dunaway photograph that did it. Ever since I first saw the iconic shot of the actress, lounging by the pool at the Beverly Hills Hotel the morning after her win at the Oscars, the newspapers spread around her feet and the instantly recognisable statue on the table. I have always loved the effortless style of the photo, and so when I noticed it hanging on the wall at the newly renovated Max Beach, it ‘sealed the deal’ as far as I was concerned. Located to the east of Marbella, Max Beach was recently taken over by the Metro Group and given a stylish overhaul. (The group is also responsible for some of the best known restaurants in Marbella including Jack’s Smokehouse, CIBO and Mumtaz as well as Bono Beach in Elviria). It’s apparent from the moment you walk in (Max Beach has valet parking, so just drop the car off outside) and are met HOTMAGAZINE.ES

Max Beach enjoys stunning views over the Mediterranean, and the shaded terraces are the perfect place to enjoy the menu. The terraces also overlook the pool area with its 25-metre saltwater, heated swimming pool (only for adults) available to all guests who reserve a bed. You can enjoy bedside service from the Sea Snack Menu and full cocktail and wine list, and some of the bed packages include a bottle of Moët Chandon Brut Champagne, to help your day go even more smoothly. Max Beach also has casual tables on the Pool Terrace as well as a cocktail bar and, new this year, a Sushi and Pizza Bar. When I spotted Executive Chef Lawrence Otterburn making his way out the kitchen towards our table, I smiled to myself. I’ve known Lawrence for years and have never had a bad meal when he is in charge. We started with the Max Sharing plate - Caprese salad, jamón Bellota, grilled asparagus and salmon gravadlax – that was wonderfully presented and also had a pesto infusion that you

Other tempting dishes include the Rack of Lamb with a hummus crust, roasted Mediterranean vegetables and fresh mint jus, as well as Whole Crispy Sea Bass, with toasted garlic, citrus, sweet chili and fresh herbs, and sautéed spinach. The dessert menu features Apple Tatin with iced goat’s cheese, Chocolate Orange Fondant with Citrus ice cream, and the Roasted Pineapple Tataki with sweet Chilli and coconut sorbet. Max Beach’s upcoming plans include Max Fitness by Reebok, 400sqm of fitness with incredible views and Max Live, a live music venue with nightly entertainment. On departing, after enjoying a great meal, our party all agreed that if one thing is for sure – this exciting new venue is about to take Marbella to the Max!

The After Polo Party and Polo Glam Lunch saw VIPs including Countess Gunilla von Bismarck and Luis Ortiz, Victoria Junot, and with corporate tables from Christies, Les Roches, Bulgari and Scapa Sports rubbing shoulders with the professional polo players and the Mayor of Estepona, Jose Maria Garcia Urbano. Bélen Cepero from Premier Law won the award of the first ‘Lady Polo Chic’, which was presented by organiser Isabel de Borbon, while Kempinski Hotel Bahía and the Town Hall of Estepona were congratulated for being the driving force in bringing beach polo to the Costa del Sol.

JASON’S BACK! Jason Derulo liked Marbella so much that he’s back for a second time! The “Wiggle” singer, who wowed the crowds with a spectactular show at Starlite in 2017, will play the festival again on August 13. If it’s anything like his last concert, this will be one of the gigs of the summer!

LA CATARINA TO CLOSE

One of Marbella’s best live music venues, La Catarina, is set to close. In a post on the bar’s Facebook page, La Catarina’s management stated “We feel it is now the right time to announce that La Catarina will close at the end of May. All good things come to an end and we feel that this is the time for our beloved venue to complete its cycle. The post confirmed that the popular craft beer brand would continue to operate and that the brewery would relocate to the new venture, Cat’s Kitchen in Estepona. The news is a body blow to a Marbella music scene that has a lack of alternative venues. As well as the popular jam sessions, DJs and Sunday markets, La Catarina also saw international acts such as La Mari , soul legend Fred Wesley and Chicago’s Hypnotic Brass Ensemble perform. La Catarina’s last night will be May 31. It promises to be a night to remember!

GET READY FOR THE ECLIPSE! Something different is coming to the clubbing scene this season. Eclipse is a new event company in Marbella promoting the latest in cutting edge underground house music and bringing some of the scene’s biggest DJs and producers to Marbella super club Dreamers. Eclispe’s first gig kicks off with Yousef on May 24, with support from up and coming DJ and producer Ignacio Morales and Aparenzza’s John Mena. From Ibiza to Indonesia, Argentina to America, South Africa to South Korea, few corners have been untouched by Yousef, who is at ease in front of 10000 people, as he is 100! You can’t discuss Yousef and not mention Circus, his world renowned club event, which is in its 17th year has gone from strength to strength. It promised to be an unforgettable night of the best underground music in Marbella that will Eclispe everything else!

Music icon Bob Dylan played a sell out gig at Fuengirola Castle at the beginning of May. The 77-year-old folk legend was in town as part of his “Never ending Tour”. And while the voice may have been a little shaky, and the security heavy handed with its “no photos” policy (anyone seen taking video or photos was warned they would be thrown out, Dylan’s adoring fans lapped up the performance. ow is an understatement with the TIBU refurbishments that have just been completed. I purposely didn’t go and see how it was going during the refurbishment, as I wanted to see TIBU completely finished. I am so glad that I waited as it is so impressive and has completely changed, including the vibe, especially on the terrace. I had dinner at the new restaurant, which was so fabulous that I ended up staying in that area until around 1am, trying out the new cocktails. You must try the TIBU´s passion - it’s absolutely delicious. I went from the restaurant to the terrace, which is my new favourite place as there’s a DJ on the terrace and a brilliant atmosphere. It was so good that I just forget about the time, so it turned into an extremely late night. You know that saying “nothing good comes from staying out after 3am”?

Well it’s true – the hangover was immense! The first of the White Parties was, as usual, the Ocean Club, which was spectacular. I am always surprised as to where all the people come from - it looked like every single table was full! I had a great table, which is so much better than just using the bar, with full waiter service and delicious canapés. So I was fed and watered without having to move, which is my kind of perfect! The firework display was so good and it signifies the start of the summer - a really great night. I went to see a great play called ‘One o’ Clock from the House’ at Los Arqueros Golf Club. It was so funny and the leading lady was just incredible for amateur dramatics in a golf club. As you know I am great fan of Victor’s Beach and, weather permitting, I go most Sundays. I now also go after work on Fridays when they have DJs playing great beach tunes until 10pm. It is such a great place to just have a little wind down and

chill, without anything too heavy. With the lovely weather I am trying to get some exercise going, as I am so busy that I keep stopping on the way home from work, at Bollywood in Aloha. It’s the most delicious curry, but it’s not doing anything for the summer body, so now I get up really early and do a 5k walk along San Pedro beach. It’s so beautiful, especially as there are very few people about as the sun is coming up, but I’m not sure how long this will last for! I know the bike lanes through Puerto Banus have been there for a while, but I am not sure how or who put them into place. I would have thought that the central reservation was for pedestrians to be able to cross the road – but the bikes come from both directions and they never stop at the zebra crossing. It’s an accident waiting to happen and I have seen a few near misses. Surely it would have been better to put the bike lanes in the road rather than the pedestrianised central reservation? Just saying!
