The Thirst Project is a non-profit that's compromised of high school and college students. Their goal is to help provide clean water to countries that need it. They chose water because of all the young people dying from dirty water. Waterborne diseases are responsible for more easily preventable young deaths than HIV, Malaria, and all world violence combined. Since children have weak immune systems that can't beat diseases like Cholera, Dysentery, or schistosomiasis.

Unicef is a program that provides humanitarian and developmental assistance to mothers and children in developing countries. Kiwanis has teamed up with them to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Link: Eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus (kiwanis.org)
This is a non-profit that works to improve the lives of mothers and children by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Link: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Texas – Children's Health (childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org) This is a non-profit that is set on aiding kids who's parents can't afford medical care by trained health professionals. EDITOR'S NOTE Hello Key Club Members, I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. I'm Marielle, your 2022 Key Club editor. I look forward to sharing all our great work in the community. So far for my summer I've just been working and spending time with friends and family.

EVENTS
On July 14, we will be having an event at the Arlington Skatium. You can bring friends from other schools, your family, or just yourself if you want. We have the place all to ourselves that night, thanks to our lovely PTSA. 8 Tickets cost $11 per person.

Allies in Youth Development: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 am - 12 pm (summer schedule) Mission Arlington: Monday - Saturday from 7 am - 7 pm.
